Shinei sighs and walks over to Zeo's unconscious body. He grabs his shirt and drags him to the side and raises him up. "Told you so." He mutters as he hits Zeo hard on the head. Zeo comes back, shakes his head and says, "That hurt." Shinei nods and tosses Zeo onto the ground. "Get back to work!" Shinei says as he disappears into the shadows. Zeo straightens his cloak as the cannon arm makes a clicking noise. Suddenly, Zeo fires a large burst of chakra at Edward from the cannon, magnifying its destructive capabilities.

"Pure chakra, eh? She smiled. She stood on her hind legs, balancing with her wings. Both her front paws set aflame with her own chakra. "We'll fight chakra with chakra."
She swung at the ball of energy, shredding it apart as it hit her own chakra.

Zeo grinned and motioned towards Edward with his left hand. The chakra he fired suddenly flew straight back towards Edward like large knives. "Fine. Chakra vs. Chakra."

Ed set her arm aflame and blocked the knives. She swung her own arm and sent a rain of flaming needles at Zeo.

Zeo grinned and fired another blast of Chakra, this one green, towards Edward. It engulfed her needles, absorbing their power. They combined with Zeo's attack and now flew straight at her.

She caught the blast in her mouth, chomping down on it. The blast dispersed, scattering around her.

Zeo sighs and twists the cannon barrel. It clicks loudly as Zeo waits. Suddenly, it begins to emit a whirling noise. Zeo points the cannon at Edward revealing some of the inner mechanisms. Six barrels slide into place around the inner edge of the cannon. "It took me months to perfect the system. When I did, I saw single large blasts as...unnecessary. So I perfected a smaller round firing system, able to spray groups of opponents with one pull of the trigger." The barrels begin spinning in a circle. Then, Zeo fires a rapid-fire blast of the chakra, running in a circle around Edward to fire from different angles.

"Hmmmmmmm...."
She surrounded herself with flames. As the bullets hit the fire, they melted and fell to the ground.

Zeo growled as he readied another salvo. He jumps high into the air and fires a single blast of Liquid nitrogen, following it with another barrage of his Chakra bullets.

The bullets hit the flames and were yest again melted, but the liquid nitrogen hit the fire and froze around it.
Inside, Ed was still surrounded by her fire.
"Is it time..." She wondered. "To release my full chakra? I suppose.... it wouldn't be a bad time..."
She looked around at the fire that covered her.
"Time to purify it." She brought her hand up and bit her finger. She let the blood flow into the fire. It began to pulse with a redish glow.
Suddenly Ed burst out of the ice. She now had four wings, two flaming. Her hair was bright red and seemed to flow like fire. Her yellow eyes glowed with fury. She grabbed Okami-tani, set it aflame, this time the flame being much bigger, and lunged at Zeo.

Zeo growls and clenches his hand. The cannon stops spinning as he hears something in the distance. "Him..." Suddenly, his chakra flares up, and the cannon arm retracts the separate barrels. He lunges as well, moves to the left within three feet, and fires a blast at Ed with his cannon, pouring itno it more chakra than before.

Ed swiftly blocked the bullet of chakra with Okami-tani and slashed into Zeo's head.

Zeo drops back, brings his arm up, and misses the cut. His cannon is cut into, catching Okami-tani in its side. Zeo focuses and fires again, hoping to break Okami-tani once and for all.

"Okami-tani! Grow!"
The sword sprouted hundreds of needle-like appendages which impaled Zeo when he tried to break it.
"Zeo, this sword contains a living, breathing wolf spirit. It's as much alive as I am. If it doesn't want to be killed, it will make sure it won't."
She pulled the sword away, but all the needles stayed in Zeo.
"That's why I also call Okami-tani the Tree Wolf, for it sprouts branch-like appendages when threatened. Kind of like needle-sharp, impaling vines. It's a defensive act..."

Zeo collapsed back onto the ground. He reached up and began ripping the needles out of his chest. "This really bites..." He mutters as he gets back onto his feet. "I hope I can live through this..." Shinei appears behind him and says, "At your wit's end?" Zeo nods. Shinei smirks as Zeo takes a few steps back. "I can't beat you. Its impossible at this point. I admit my defeat...how sad that I cling to life..." Zeo says as as he disappears into the shadows. Shinei is left standing there. "See you later then." Shinei says as he too disappears.
