Hiro sighed and signed another paper. It felt to him like his job was less and less watching over the people of the clan and training and more and more paperwork. "Well... I'm sure the other masters aren't doing anything interresting right now either." he told himself.

He sighed again and got up,"I'm going for a walk." he told his guards.

"Master Hiro, are you sure that's wise? You just had a strange attack." one of his guards pointed out concernedly.

Hiro bristled,"I THINK I can go for a walk in my own garden without a nursemaid thank you!" he snapped.

The guards stepped back a bit and he stormed past them, giving each of them a glare that could probably remove paint.

Hiro was in a foul mood all the way into his garden. Once he reached the center, though, he found himself beginning to calm. The gentle fountains shaped like fish had soothed him since he was little. Before long he found himself about to go to sleep, sitting on the edge of his favorate.

Were it not for the slight drop in temperature, telling him to throw himself to the side, the long bolt of ice would have gone straight through his chest.

Hiro rolled sharply to the left, jumping back to his feet, ignoring the sharp pain on his arm where the blade had cut him. He instantly sent a spray of snow out at his attacker, who was desguised by a black robe and mask-chillingly shaped like a skull-, which was almost harmless, but made his attacker wet, allowing Hiro to be able to sense his exact location. What made Hiro just a little bit nervous, was the fact that his would-be assasin didn't seem unnerved at all.
((Finally a semi-long post on my part.))

"No! You will not destroy this! NEVER!"

The entire mass of debris was suddenly directed towards Matt. Matt braced himself, but the wind knocked him off his feet and hurled him outside of the dome. Upon doing so, Matt felt relieved and breathed a breathe of cool night air, an immense change from the stuffy dome of flame. The two master adepts fell off the edge of the lighthouse, freefalling. The two were at it and duking it out in an old fashion fist fight; both adepts abandoning their weapons and dealing blows at each other with their own fists. Partially during the fall until Matt realized that neither of them will survive the entire fall from the lighthouse. In response, Matt used his dissapating powers of Pool to once again raise a pillar of earth to cushion the fall and to level them back to the ground. Because of a weak focus in doing this, Kassion was also saved from the fall thanks to the wide radius of the pillar.

The two tumbled over and rolled their seperate ways after they hit the floor. Matt was bleeding, burned, tired, and the effects of Dynamo and Pool were wearing off. Using whatever psyenergy left of him, Matt shakily retrieved his three blades with the last burst of energy Pool had, sheathing all but his Mystery Blade. He stabbed the blade into the ground and used it as a cane to lift himself up. He checked his pockets for the vials he kept incase of an emergency like this. As Matt suspected, the vials melted under the heat of the dome, and all that remained was a small pool of liquid. He licked his charred right hand for some remnants of the healing substance that remained in hopes that it worked to some extent.

"Argh...I can't hold up...much longer. The dome is finally gone though. Two steps left...and I'll be able to defeat him."

Matt tapped into the powers of Granite and it empowered the Mystery Blade with psyenergy; the additional psyenergy made the blade flash white as the Gaia Blade had done when [Titan Blade] was unleashed. A swipe at Kassion would pierce through his armor, his weapon and drain his energy to Matt. Matt took a weak step forward and halted for a moment. The evening sky was dark and silent at last as the two master adepts stopped their flurry of attacks for the moment. Matt then spoke wearily, but sarcastically.

"...Ready for...another round?"

Following the exhaustion of Pool, Matt's psyenergy was sealed for the moment. Thus he had no choice but to run up to Kassion and battle him without the usage of psyenergy.

"At least I still have my Djinn."

Matt took another step forward and stumbled a bit before building up the walk into a run. With the Mystery Blade dragging along the dirt, cutting a deep rift in the ground, Matt made a last rush at Kassion before unleashing the ace he had in his sleeve the entire time.

Kassion hit the ground hard, but he wasn't nearly as wounded as Matt. The sharp pain in his side had come back, but he didn't even notice it through his blind fury.
Artica was wearing off, but Titan was still going. "You are a stubborn little b*****d!" Kassion thought to his interlinked djinni.
"Haven't we been through this already?" Titan reponded sarcastically and in the same manner, telepathically through their bond.

Kassion picked himself up. He was scratched and bruised, but he was still pissed off and was ready for anything.
He started to laugh as Matt stumbled forward, but then he noticed the signature white flash.
"Oh, damn!"
Kassion spotted Edarum about a dozen paces behind himself, so with his last burst from Artica, he sprinted back and snatched the weapon.
He merely thought of Helios, and then it appeared in his hands.
Titan, still giving Kassion immense strength, helped Kassion's insane battle tactics so Kassion wouldn't somehow get himself killed from a stupid move.
With the djinni's help, Kassion dashed forward to meet Matt in his insane last charge.

Kassion knew the consiquences of this, but he also had another trick up his sleeve.

He used his right arm to hurl Helios at Matt and then grabbed Edarum in both hands, readying himself.

Helios grazed Matt, knocking him off balance, but it didn't stop him. "Show me what you got, boy!" Kassion blurted out in a sarcastic fury.
Much like [Life nourish], Edarum also sapped life energy from its victim. Edarum and Helios were both normally enchanted weapons. Neither had Unleashes nor did they even need it. They were both weapons of immense power and strange abilities.

Matt and Kassion threw all logic out the window and struck at each other with everything they had. Both connecting solidly with the other.

((yay first post!))

"Were is Master Hiro? I need to talk to him." The guards pointed Jessica to the garden. "Thank you" She bowed to them and head into the maze of flowers and grass. "Master! Where are you! I need to see if you got the paper work done!"

During the mad dash, Kassion once again threw Helios at Matt. Matt was slightly hit on the shoulder, but holding it in, he kept on his charge at Kassion.

"Show me what you got, boy!"

When both combatants were within distance, Matt cut upwards with the Mystery Blade, whereas Kassion brought down his other warhammer onto Matt. While Matt sliced diagonally at Kassion's torso, the axe pounded onto Matt's left shoulder. With Granite's influence, the Mystery Blade cut past the Mythril Armor that Kassion donned. In turn, Matt's left shoulder blade was deeply cut by the axe.

"Aaahhhhhhhhhhh!"

Matt cried in pain as he dropped the Mystery Blade and grabbed onto his mutilated left shoulder. Taking several steps back, he didn't pay heed to how much damage he dealt to Kassion. But he was sure Kassion wasn't dead yet, and it was about time to finish the battle. Reluctantly letting go of the sharp pain in his left shoulder, Matt stumbled a bit more before regaining his balance and focus for one last time.

"Show you what I've got huh?"

The pain in Matt's left shoulder pulsed for a moment.

"You two know what to do."

Upon the command, Coal and Granite merged their powers to summon a creature. Something that has not happened since the earliest years of the Weyard. A secret that has not been touched for many centuries. Until now.

~Flashback~

"Ugh, I hate hate hate hate these puzzles! Those sadistic ancient adepts..."

Moving the last block into place, Matt heard a stone door retract. Matt ran back to the other side of the gray cavern to find that a new passage has opened. Inside was a small room with a stone tablet in the middle.

"Yes! Just as the clues stated."

Matt picked up the tablet and read it.

"What the heck is this? A cooking recipe? One Mars, one Venus...Zagan..."

The tablet then converted into pure psyenergy and infused itself into Matt.

"...Whoa."

~End Flashback~

When the two Djinns fused their powers, A white light flashed and suddenly, a minotaur holding a sythe appeared. Instictively, the Minotaur charged at the Mars Master with unfriendly intentions. Out of energy, Matt's eyesight blurred at this time, unable to see the result of Zagan's summon. He could only see some vague action when Zagan confronted Kassion. Several moments later, Matt saw psyenergy flow out of the minotaur before it emitted a dangerous explosion, marking the summon's opus magnus exit. The explosion was the last straw for Matt and he blacked out.

((Just so you know, it was a Mithril AXE, not a warhammer.))
Just as Kassion hit Matt, Matt hit Kassion. Both dealt great damage, but thanks to Kassions weapon, much of the damage dealt to Matt had revitalized much of Kassion's new wound, although Matt was also saved from Kassion's fatal blow by his own weapon.

When Matt and Kassion stumbled away from each other, Kassion looked down at his armor. It was cut from his hip up to his chest. "Well, that can't be good!" He lifted it to see a dark red line. He felt a sharp pain all along that area, but when he felt it, it had seemingly healed up enough so it wasn't too serious.

With a small amount of gathered psyenergy left from absorbing Matt's, Kassion was about to deal a finishing blow to him, but then he stood a bit dumbstruck as a Minitour materialized in front of him.

"Oh, crap..."

With just enough psyenergy left, Kassion cast [Contain]. A smaller dome appeared around Kassion, but it was just as sturdy.

The minitour then used some sort of Unleash at that instant.

Kassion braced himself.

When the blast hit the dome, it shattered. Kassion was knocked back several feet from where he was standing.

When Kassion recovered from the shock, he lifted his head to see a carving in the ground from the energy throwing Kassion back.

People were rushing to the scene. No one got close to the lighthouse at first because the battle was so intense, but when it came down to those last few moments, the people began to sprint to where the two combatants were last seen.

He propped himself up on his elbows and looked down at his chest. The chailmail shirt was opened wide and the gash could be seen clearly. Titan was losing his effect now, but Kassion stubbornly stood up and walked over to his unconcious opponent while clutching his chest. He stumbled a little bit, but he was still very aware and alert, he was just exhausted from using so much energy in large quantities.
The minimal amount of energy he had left was used on the venus spell [cure] to make sure that his gash wouldn't be a mortal wound when titan was dismissed.

Kassion, still a behemoth in size, loomed over Matt for a moment before bending over and grabbing him by the throat.
Obviously unconcious, Matt was completely helpless.

Kassion lifted him high off of the ground, letting his feet dangle. Still clutching his chest, Kassion snarled at the helpless Matt and tossed him aside, letting him hit the ground hard.

Furious because of his decision to wear light armor and also for his current wounds and lack of treatement, he slowly made his way towards the approaching clerics, guards, and spectators. Just then, his body began to shrink. Titan's powers were used all of the way through for the first time.

((I suggest you find a fast way to get Matt out of there, Kitty, because in a few short seconds he is going to be taken into custody and probably never released. Don't expect it to be lightly guarded either. wink So, think fast!))

Rika, Lance, and Taylor hurried to the Mars Lighthouse. When they arrived, night was falling, and the sounds of combat came from the top.
"Ahhh, s**t."
Without waithing for a reply, Rika lept off of her horse and ran to the lighthouse. She raced to the fight as fast as she dared, not wanting to be compleatly worn out apon reaching the battle. Lance and Taylor were not far behind, readying their wepons and shouting for Rika to wait, though she wasn't paying attention. She readyed her blade and her djinni, Flint, for combat, hoping that whatever was making the racket wasn't to strong for her.
When she reached the fight, she let out a small gasp. A huge explosion, from what she couldn't tell, rocked the lighthouse and a figure was blown back. She then beheald Matt, lying on the ground, on his stomach. She charged over, still wary of the figure on the other side of the lighthouse, though she hoped that they weren't getting back up. Lance and Taylor followed closely, having finaly caught up with Rika. They were quick to identify the fact that Matt had blacked out and not died, and all three checked their supplies for a water of life.

((Sorry 'bout that, B sweatdrop ))

((Wow... I hope that the entire RP isn't THIS in-accurate. sweatdrop First, Doomy misses the fact that Hyper is also an original; Secondly, he also mistakes Edarum for a Hammer instead of the axe that it is; then thirdly, we are no longer battling on the Aerie. Kassion rammed Matt right off the edge of the lighthouse and ended up falling with him. They hit the ground hard, but were helped by Matt's floating earth to slow their descent. Are we all cleared up now? I suggest you fix up most of your post Angelic Kitty. 3nodding ))

((I am also finished with my previous post. The battle came to a grueling and abrupt halt. Magnificient battle Doomy! xd heart ))

Mortimer laid in a cot staring up into the top of tent. His healers would not let him do any thing but rest sence he woke up from his attack. They even would not let Nami see him every day. She would argue with them all day long to see him.

She was now sitting on a chair holding his hand.

"Mortimer what's wrong with you latly? You have been having more attacks this year then you did last year. Whats wrong?"

Mortimer contuied to stare into the top of tent.

"You of all people should have some sort of idea. You were there the day when the demon attack me. Hell your were only a few feet away!"

"But I thought Kassion got ride of that demon. You said so your self it was out of your head!"

Mortimer turned his head to Nami.

"I lied, Errtu will always be in my head. Thats why I still have these wings. The only thing left of him."

A small tear formed in the corrner of Nami's eye.

"But why did you Mortimer! You told me ever thing else about your adventures!"

"I had too or you would be hurt."

Mortimer went to sleep after he said that.

"Get down, girl!" Hiro roared, throwing himself at her, pulling her down as blades of ice shot through the air where a moment ago she had stood. Hiro moved between her and the assasin,"Attacking me is one thing, but NO ONE touches my students and gets away with it!" he snarled. Ice swirrled around him and shot out, in a blizzard of blades at the assasin.

Hiro lunged forward at him/her making a sword of ice for himself and slashing at the assasin. The assasin moved like a ghost, darting away before Hiro could even touch him. Then the assasin pulled out a long curved knife, slashing at Hiro with dangerous accuracy. Hiro began to fall back under the asault of the incredibly quick attacker.

The three Venus adepts reached Matt's charred and bloody body when Kassion seemed to have walked a good distance away. Instinctively, the three all searched their packs for a Water of Life.

"Got it!"

Lance exclaimed as he quickly jammed the liquid from the bottle into Matt's mouth. However, Mars adepts from around the region started gathering to see the results of the intense conflict. Taylor commented on the situation.

"Rika, I don't know what the hell happened here, but I don't think the Venus and Mars Clans have come to very good terms.

Lance nodded. With only a few drops left in the medicinal bottle, Lance tossed it at a group of advancing Mars guards and picked up Matt's body as well as equipment; then he carried Matt over his shoulder. Kassion heard the commotion and turned around to see the three fleeing Venus adepts, carrying away the dangerously unhealthy master.

"Mother Gaia!"

Taylor spun around and quickly cast the psyenergy spell at the closest group of persuing guards. A light vortex appeared below the guards and the ground below blasted into a flurry of flying boulders and dirt. Taylor turned away and continued his escape with the others. As they reached the entrance of the Mars headquarters, a team of Mars adepts were there, prepared to stop the Venus escape squad.

"Taylor, they're going to value their lives more than their mission. Act as if you're going to battle, and while they're busy with us, get Master Strider out of here!"

Following his command, Taylor placed Matt down as a pseudo idea that he was going to engage combat as well. Lance drew his polearm from his back, and Rika prepared herself for combat as well. One of the Mars adepts sent a wave of fireballs at the Venus adepts.

"Mad Growth!"

The dying vegetation around the Venus adepts suddenly grew to great extents and absorbed the flames of the fireballs. Lance then dashed towards the Mars adepts and swung his polearm, threatening to either cut them or at least crush them with the heavy weapon. Seeing that the Mars adepts were decently pre-occupied, Taylor grabbed Matt's body and loaded him on the horses. All the while, Rika and Lance continued to ward off the Mars fighters. The night sky was once again disturbed by various lights of flames and earthy psyenergy, flickering around Prox. This was all but proof that war was dawning upon the clans once again.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 09, 2006 5:24 pm

As the clerics around Kassion began to heal him, he had heard a disturbance behind him. When he turned around, he noticed that the Venus master was being caried away by more venus adepts. He figured help would arrive. No man in his right mind would assault another master in the heart of the clan! When he saw that they were wounding Mars adepts, he took his renewed psyenergy and amplified his voice to make sure every one heard him, "Leave them! Let them run!"

With many confused looks around him, he simply waved them off and said, "I am tired. I will explain in the morning." He was so completely absorbed by his victory under such circumstances that he walked home without even fully healing himself before hand.

((Because of a conflict in posting time between mine and SD's, pretend this post takes place after his.))

While Rika's sword clashed with that of the guards, and Lance was 'lancing' (as his name implies) the Mars adepts, a booming voice that belonged to no other than Kassion echoed through the region.

"Leave them! Let them run!"

Taylor was already out of sight, and Matt was undoubtedly safe. However, the two combating Venus adepts were a bit confused at the orders.

"I'm not sure whether this is a trick or not, but let's take the chance. But watch your backs incase they do throw something at us.

With that, Lance signaled Rika to the horses as the Mars adepts and guards retreated. Just then, the ground in front of them burst into flames. The two dodged the main blast, although they could feel the intense heat from such distance.

"A trick indeed."

Lance turned around to see a Mars adept jump down from the top of the Mars Lighthouse. Upon the move, several of the Mars guards returned to resume fighting the two Venus adepts. The Mars adept that jumped down went over to where Kassion was. Seeing the resumation of the fight, Lance and Rika drew their weapons again to engage the Mars guards.

Feleing something of regret, letting the unconcious master get away, Maxwell cursed and muttered one thing under his breath as he turned around.
"Pyroclasm." At once, brilliant flame shot forth from the ground nearby the fleeing Venus adepts. He didn't want them to get away without being burned.
"Well...I guess I'm through." With a crazed look in his eyes, he looked over the edge of the lighthouse to the ground below.
"...Yipee..." He said with a slight laugh and jumped, intending to at least make it down in time to catch their faces. If not, he could always slow his approach with some of his spells.

((I like the random leap!))

Kassion turned around at another large explosion. "What the Hell?" He saw the bright orange flames and then noticed as a few people pointed to the top of the lighthouse. Kassion looked up to see Maxwell jumping off the edge.

"Damn, he must not have heard me."

Kassion accepted some more healing from the clerics before he sprinted back to the lighthouse to intercept Maxwell before he could cause any more difficulty in his plan.

When he just about reached the lighthouse, he realized that wounding them for the trip back wouldn't be such a bad idea.

He hid his wicked smile just as he stopped at the base of the lighthouse to wait for Maxwell.

When he signaled for Maxwell to stop. Maxwell used his spells to slow his descent ((You can mention those in your next post. This one simply intertwines with yours)).
Kassion waited for him to hit ground so he could speak with him.
