That's a very pretty song. ^.^

And I can see it coming just before a climactic sequence, very well.

...though it would be better if my brain didn't make it sound like they were saying "heel and heel and heel and toe". Oh well, at least it isn't as bad as Mozart's "Requiem" in which one movement sounds exactly like "Oh holy marmalade, how we beseech thee" sweatdrop

May I propose a seasonal variation?

What Christmas song/carol best suits your characters?

I have a version of, um... I think it goes from The Holly And The Ivy to my favorite carol... which I've forgotten (I'll edit it in when I remember) to Joy To The World, which is the music for Shin's Christmas story. ^.^

Also, there's a song called 'The Birds' which I'd never heard before I found this carol book... it's very pretty, and is Shigure's carol. Remembering of course that I play it on a lone piano at a lot slower tempo than it's supposed to be... but it's so pretty that way! ^.^

Would that be Carol of the Birds?

Kita- O Come O Come Emmanuel. Slightly ammusing video here. This song has always seemed particularly questioning or beseaching to me, even more than 'I Wonder as I Wander', and not particularly Christian. Joan Baez has a more haunting version, but that isn't online.
Feragel- A La Nanita Nana. Edit: Here is a much, much better version. It makes more sense why I chose it. Damn Cheeta Grils! They can't freaking sing! (Whoever they are...) It's pretty. And when not sung by those god damn Cheeta Girls, it has a quality I can best describe as dust and honey, both things which characterize Feragel quite well.
Wile-Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. If you honestly aren't farmiliar with it, here, but I don't exactly reccomend that version. Because I can totally see someone saying that to him. The tone is so right.
Catherine- Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella. French version here. There's something about it that is just as grounded and practical as she is.
Patrick- God Rest Ye Marry, Gentlemen. Mini Aussie drama queen version here. It just fits him. Especially this version. XD
Amy- Most of the snow scene from the Nutcracker. The choreography is aweful, but here. If you want better choreography (with... probably the world's best technical ballet dancer ever, and no, it's not the girl) then this is... pretty. But don't bother watching the rest of the show. There's... like... negative plot.
Aeru- I Wonder as I Wander. Edit: De-pop-ified version here. She's a drama queen sometimes, but overall it's so pretty and happy.
Stephen- Scarborough Carol (sounds like Scarborough Fair, but with different words) This is one where I can actually use the lyrics- something along the lines of 'I don't know what to give this guy, so I'll give him my heart' XD. Except... not. It's haunting?
Lena- The Noble Stem of Jesse (aka Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming with different words). I don't know. I really don't.
Jack- In Yon Forest. Preview here. The only Christmas song I can find that I would actually call 'dangerous.'

Edit: I put in reasons and updated any songs that really needed updating.

@Kita: My old voice teacher's favorite Christmas song was I Wonder as I Wander, although I dislike Vanessa Williams' cover of it. I always hear people gushing about her singing abilities, particularly in defense of her Tonys performance for the Into the Woods revival, but most of the stuff I've heard her sing has been noticeably transposed down.

For Kasume, I immediately think of I Saw Three Ships, just because it's repetitive and involves boats, but I don't have anything in particular in mind for anyone else.

Offa the top of my head I've only got one. I'm reviewing this album for the Christman edition of our paper. WAY TO GO CHRISTMAS ARTICLE ASSIGNMENTS! They are way way better than the regular article assignments.

Back on topic! Okay:

For Jericho, "The Restroom Door Said 'Gentlemen.'" xd Yes, I do have to bring that song up every Christmas.

For Yinda, probably "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," but she'd be more likely to sing one of my grandma's variations, like "Rudolph the Two-Gunned Cowboy." That, or "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells."

For Vitae, "Night of Silence." Not the greatest recording, but you get the idea. (You'll have to click on "Listen to Night of Silence" after following the link.)

Nathan's would be "Good Christian Men, Rejoice," because it's bouncy, prancy, and usually sung by men.

And maybe for Sabine, "Here We Come a-Wassailing." I'm not really sure. I'm having trouble thinking of songs.

@Kita: I'm afraid I can't tell if that's the same one. It's... a lot simpler when I play it. -.-' But I think it might be.

Story theme: The freshmen by vierve pipe

Isaac Decker- let the Drama kid die by citizen's cope (I think the song is "let the Drummer kick that" but i've known it as "drama kid" since i heard it in the movie American History X, and I like those lyrics better), Reckless burning by Jesse sykes, or Disarm by smashing pumpkins
Caleb Wroth-needle in the hay by elliot smith
Danny Lynne- bother by stone sour
Tommy lynne- Hell is for children by Pat Benetar
Rachelle LeRoy- Gomenasi(sp) by tatu
Mackenzie Cooper- blue by birthday party massacre
Firefly- Firefly by breaking benjamin, or Alison by slowdive

I've been thinking about it, and the Destroyer has a lot of theme songs...

Maze of the Dark
Notes: This is the remix, but just search Maze of the Dark and it should be on the first page. Still fits.

Feel For You by Nightwish. Because the way I interpret it makes it sound stalker-ish and psychotic. Which is a fairly accurate description of hir/it.

Forever Yours by Nightwish. I listened to it for the first time in about a month recently... and it just clicked. *shrug* Made me cry, though... sweatdrop

I thought up a couple more:

Lycaon: "Hungry Like the Wolf" by Duran Duran. This is mostly because I can see him rocking out to 80's bands like Duran Duran and the Police.

Terrian: "For Whom The Bell Tolls" Metallica cover by Apocalyptica. She's an instrumental type person.

((Oh, and I just about squee'd yesterday when I found out Rukia Kuchi's (sp?) theme song was by Ashley MacIssac.))
