The games I didnt like too much.
V: horrible plot, the gameplay was good but thats the only reason it didnt drop below mediocricty.
VIII: It did have a good political plot but the thing that ruined it was the junction system. The junction system is fine for those who like to spend five minutes in every battle to stock up magic, i'd prefer to either buy magic permantly or to earn it through levels, not to draw it from enemies, I like my magic to be permanent. The characters besides Squall and Seifer sucked too.
X: I dont hate, it but I dont like it. Its plot started out great but then it faded when you saw how much of a whiny b***h Tidus really is, and pretty much how broken the sphere grid is.

FFVIII was probably the only Square game I actually hated. I still want my 3 days back from playing that horrible excuse for a game. The main character was the whiniest brat ever, and he didn't even talk. Not to mention, the famous sniper couldn't be counted on when he actually mattered. The game was a poor attempt at trying to continue with the fame gained from FF7. It was a soap opera more than anything. Man, I hate that game....
