Hi. redface
* I'm new to Gaia and the GGNG.
* I suffer from social phobia, so this virtual guild stuff is great news for me - actually, everything about internet is great.
* If you have any problems about the above point, you know what to do.
* I'm not a native English speaker, so please pardon my erratic mistakes.
* I like Tolkien, Pratchett, Shakespeare, Poe, Adams...and many more.
Many thanks for your time.

Hello. I am Nie. That's Nie as in knee, not as in nye. I absolutely abhor those dumbasses who wrecked every single forum out there.
Moi? I'm from everywhere. I explore, and even though I've been on here for a month, I'm still relatively new. Bleh.
So...don't go all 'stoopid' on me, or else.....*bam*

Well, here I am... surrounded by those who would have transgressors of the English language beaten with heavy, spiky things... it's beautiful.

Hello everyone. 3nodding
I'm still fairly new to Gaia. Okay, I'm new enough to get that lovely title N00b, or Noob, or Newbie.
Whatever. I'm not even sure What half of these abbreviations mean. Frankly, I'm not sure it's okay to gang up on people because they're idiots. I'm more of a live and let live person. So far, I get the feeling you're all about the same- only some enjoy the flaming more than others.... We can talk about that later. Hehe.
I do feel adamant about protecting the english language. So I'm willing to stick around and help with the general goal.
Note: I do believe in creative use of the english language for kicks but ONLY in the following manners: 1) Playing around with accents and verbal mannerisms. Ie, Cockney, filthy rich etc. . One of my favorite authors, Terry Pratchett is famous for it. 2.) I am wont to throw random mentions of Tennyson or even Chaucer into everyday conversation. Olde English is okay in my book.
This is a work in progress- so if any of you have any exceptions to the rule, I'm all ears. I look forward to getting to know you all. scream
Hehe. That is all.
Could not connect to the sushi database. I shall kill it. If this double posts, I apologise. Does this happen all the time?

Greetings and salutations. biggrin
I'm PhaseBurn, and I'm new around here.
Allow me to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself... I'm male, have blue hair, and am a respected IRC Operator on one of the top 10 largest IRC networks in the world. As such, I police a lot of channels of CounterStrike players, and absolutly abhor the way that they type. As such, I've become sort of an IRC grammar nazi. I figured that with my joining this wonderful community here, I'd fit in perfectly with this guild.
I enjoy IRC, anima, manga, several musical genres, computers, networking, linux, chess, and a good round of poker with my friends. I'm also a network engineer for an internet service provider located in California, where I also happen to live. Thankfully I also love networking so I usually enjoy my job a lot, but only when my boss leaves me alone.
Anyway, that's all for now; any questions, feel free to ask... I have pics on-line if anybody cares, and usually am on IRC most of the time if anybody'd like to chat...
I look forward to contributing to this guild, and meeting all of you!

I can configure a frame relay circuit on the serial line of a Cisco router AND properly configure BGP with the appropriate ingress and egress filters in less than ten minutes, and that's if I'm eating. surprised (Ever redistributed RIP via EIGRP? It sucks.)

Wow...
I actually respected you a lot till you said MCSE razz
That's like owning a lot of Ferrari, Porsche, and Hummer vehicles, and throwing a Ford Focus in the lot... crying
Seriously, though, I highly respect anybody with those many 3/4 letter acronyms after his/her title... And while I've never done RIP over EIGRP, I've done equally hellish things.
I look forward to learning a lot from you, now, so you best be on your toes!
