All seems to be easiest to level up, and for 1.4 million gil for MASTER...
I got Final Attack Materia biggrin
and before that, I added Shadow Flare to my Enemy Skills
I had Cloud equipped with Apocalypse for the Triple AP growth, with Double cut, Counter, and KotR...
now he has Ultima Weapon (with all MASTER materia on it of course due to the No growth)
added Deathblow, another HP plus, some other materia I forgot...
I found Yuffie's ultimate weapon Conformer (the 8 connected slots with no growth) inside the sunken plane in that room double cut was found (the chest is hiding on the left side of the minireactor... across from the materia basically...)
Those unknown are great for AP (especially with Apocalypse... the Unknown 2's give 300 AP normal, 900 tripled)

yeah, i think i'll go back there. i found conformer before... i think i'll go back with Cid equipped with the Scimitar as well, because i think that triples AP as well...
I've done a good amount of damage with KotR and Mimic on Emerald weapon... a already had counter... now i'm going for sneak attack materia in the Chocobo races. My Gold chocobo now has 167 top speed and 999, but TEIOH, the annoying black chocobo has 175top speed with 1247 stamina... now all me money is gone, gone. >.> i'm a compulsive gambler, i guess. but it's so much fun being faster than everyone else!!
how do you get enemy skills? all i have are L4 suicide, Matra Magic, and goblin punch.

Joe (the rider of TEIOH) is always a proportion faster/stronger than you are (I made him get 4th place by putting Edge in A races [Edge had 89 top speed, so Joe's had 98, and in A races where average top speed is 115...]) You can beat him by using the cheat where you hold the R1 and R2 buttons to recover stamina (negate stamina loss when at top speed not dashing) Enemy skills are just found everywhere and Manipulate materia is a MUST when skill hunting. Beta can be found fighting the Midgar Zolom I'm not sure if you can return to the caves on the Cliffside of the crater (that place where you climb and maintain body temp.) Bad breath (Malboro), Trine, and Magic Breath (the red crab thing that only seem to ambush you) can be found there... Adamantaimai at the beaches near Wutai give Death Force when manipulated (Death Force gives immunity to instant death for the entirety of the battle in which it is used) Also, the weeds in that area give Magic Hammer, which attacks MP For fun, you can try to get Chocobuckle, which you get by feeding 3 of a certain type of greens (I forget which, but it costs 4500g) and then using L4 Suicide on a chocobo (recommend using sense to be sure the chocobo will be affected by it so you don't waste your greens) Chocobuckle deals damage equal to the nuber of times you have run away (JP version had it number of times run away x user's level) But I hear it is pretty funny to watch Shadow Flare can be attained by having the character with the materia deal the final blow to Ultima Weapon (It can be attained later by the Dragon Zombies, which also give Pandora's Box) Big Guard can be attained by manipulating the Beachplugs on the beaches around Gold Saucer White Wind can be recieved from the Zemzelette monsters around Junon area Dragon Force you get be manipulating Dark Dragons (which also have Laser) Chimera give Aqualung I don't remember any more right now

Ya give mimett greens, or something like that. If it gives damage equal to the times i've run away, then that's aroun 800 damage right there. and you can go up the gaia cliffs again... i got lost while looking for alexander and would up halfway up the cliffs. thanks again.
One more question: Where do you get Final blow?

Funny thing though, if you get this skill it bumps your escape number to 1 if you have never escaped.... I guess because it has to do some damage...
I was proud of my zero escape count....
(Sleeping guy in the cave sometimes says you escape count)

are you asking about Final Attack Materia?
You get that by going to the Gold Saucer Battle Arena with Cloud equipped with Ultima Weapon, Omnislash, and W-Summon, and then win the special battle (if you win and don't get it the first time, you can try again whenever)

No, the little minigame area near Cosmo Canyon... tho one that you have to put the frogs and crickets in the pitcher plants? the one you got double slash from? I think it's called the Ancient Forest.

I think it's called the Ancient Forest. oops, I'm thinking of the wrong forest sweatdrop You get Typoon summon there... among other materias... and other stuff... and you mean Slash-all materia, double-cut is in the sunk plane but Final attack isn't there. Also I learned that the Magic Counter in the Chocobo Races is NOT the same as that blue counter materia in the crater... Magic Counter only works with paired magic and summon, while the one in the crater will work with command as well If you can get a good racing Chocobo, and only get the GP from the winnings, you'll have plenty of GP, then go trial and error with different combinations of materia and gear and use Cloud (the special fight can only be fought with Cloud, so it'd help to only use him to get the feel) The final fight in the special battle is with Iron Clod or whatever it was called (that big red robot that Scarlet and Heidegger try to kill you with when you raid Midgar at the end of disc 2)

ah, yes, slash all. ah bad. it was one of them. Yeah, I usually only get GP from the races. and i always use cloud in the battles. I have to fight that think all by me onesy? @_@ Nuuuuuuuuu!!!! I wish i could get exp from the battles!!
Yeah, i got the magic counter, too... i was trying to get something else...but i could never get it.. i haven't played sinse i got back to school, so... what was it? *thinks*

Okay, this is an important find!
before I get into the details here is the location of W-Item materia:
After you skydive into Midgar and go underground, when inside the train track tunnel, head toward where the camera is (that is to say not away from it)
this is a long tunnel, and at the very end going this way, is W-Item and on the way are a few stat sources.
ok I said that because to take advantage of the find, you are going to need a near limitless supply of Elixers, which the item glitch helps...
Right as I am typing this, I have been superleveling my materia in the crater, or specifically, the area in the crater that is filled withh water and looks pretty gross (you can also find Shield materia in the area I'm talking about)
the monsters of no worth are the floating eyes, the master tonberries, and the Christopher/Gighee pair (but you can steal Elixers from Gighee)
the prize monsters here are the Magic Pots and the Movers
each magic pot gives 1000 AP, and they often come in pairs, but to damage them, you must give them each an elixer... if you don't you'll do no damage, and they'll counter by stealing an item of yours.
the movers always come in trios, and each give 800 AP, these aren't too common, but they are really easy to kill..
Best sticking with magic pots, as they appear fairly often.
I have been fighting for the past hour there, having Cloud equipped with Apocalypse (reminder that has triple AP growth)...
In this time, I Mastered 2 brand new Blue Counter materias, just starting a third, KotR leveled up once, and I Mastered one double-cut, and leveled the next one up (to get double-cut brand new to level up once is 100000AP, and this part took what felt to be less than 30 minutes)
On another note, I think I missed the 2nd Ribbon... anyone know where it is?
