Kasai stopped and listened, I bet those are Red's guys coming back from wherever they went. Kasai looked around quickly he didn't know how long the shard would keep Red down as he scanned the wall his eyes came upon a crack in it. The crack was big enough for him and Fauve to fit in. Fauve! Look there, our cave in must have opened that up more. I bet we could fit in it. Kasai dropped to his knees and started into the crack, once inside he saw it went forward more - what he throught was just a crack was actually a tunnel. Ahead he thought he could see a bit of light, he quickly crawled toward it so Fauve could get in as well. As he was crawling the curls of his masque got caught in the crags of the rock, wincing in pain he backed up a bit and carefully got them free. Come on in Fauve, it is a tunnel - careful of your masque though.

Cin hobbled after Merci', "I hope that little dragon can find us a way out...also hope the kids found a way out." With that thought Cin called to Kasai, 'Sai how are you doing?

Just fine, we found a tunnel we can crawl though. I don't think the pirates can fit through it. They are too big.

Cin grinned slightly, "Merci' I don't know if Fauve has told you but they are hiding out in a small tunnel or something right now. They should be ok." Clenching her teeth Cin hobbled behind Merci'. "Oh and you keep a look out." Cin said this well tapping on Mycroft.

"Aye!"

Al had taken a few of the men with him to find out what Red was up to. He didn't know why but he felt that Red should have been back by now. Leaving the others to finish off the clearing of that tunnel he had started back, stepping into the cavern were the main camp was he knew there was something wrong. Eyes wide he looked down on where Bruce lay unconcious and then beside him on the ledge was Red; also out cold. "Look after the captain!" He barked at the man closest to him and then he gestured to the other two to follow him jumping down he could see the two women moving down the hallway.

"I picked up a 100% chance of humans coming up from behind you."

Cin glanced over her shoulder and saw the pirates coming up from behind them, "We have company," Cin pulled her pistol ready to fire.

Kasai went forward the rest of the way in the tunnel, blinking he looked up and saw what was producing the light from earlier. A large Emerald sat on a ledge - an eerie light eminating from it. Kasai looked around and then stood; he was in a 4 by 4 chamber. Fauve, I think we have just found the emerald. Dazzled by the gem's size and beauty Kasai put his hands up to it and lifted it from the ledge. The light the gem was producing disappeared, blinking Kasai looked at the gem confused and then looked up. Smiling he could see a little opening with light streaming in, sucking in a deep breath he grinned as fresh air entered his lungs. Fauve! Sunlight!

Watching the pirates come closer Cin listened to the last bit of Kasai's conversation. Then whispering she told Merci', "They found the gem."

Cin took Merci's lead and also turned toward the pirates, "There doesn't seem to be that many of them, if we can get rid of these we should be able to make a run for it before they get some back up." Cin raises her lazer pistol and aims at Al, "I've got the leader." Pulling the trigger a bolt flies through the air and hits Al in the leg he falls yelling and clutching at his ruined leg. The other two pirates started running toward them, one pulled out a pistol of his own.

Kasai looks up and inspects the hole in the ceiling. Do you have anymore of those explosives? We may be able to make this hole bigger if we put an explosive on top of it, it looks like it may be thin enough here that it will widen the hole and not cause a cave in. Kasai grins slightl at Fauve and then adds, but you are the demolisions expert so why don't you have a look? Kasai picks the emerald up off of the ledge and put the fist sized gem in his bag, making room for Fauve to look at the opening and keeping the jewel safe at the same time.

"Merci' I am going to tell the kids to get out if they can...and meet us at the bike." Cin says this in a hushed voice as she starts firing on the pirates running toward them.

Cin lets off two more bolts catching a pirate in his arm and side, the man falls not moving. The one that pulled a gun from his waistband was still coming, he lets a bullet fly, it grazes along Cin's wrist causing her to drop her pistol. "s**t, bloody b*****d!" she mutters this well holding her wrist and then looks beside her to see Merci` on the ground, "Don't worry luv they haven't stopped me yet." Cin shook her head slightly, everything ached her leg absolutely throbbed and she imagined that even the cybernetic implants along her spine where crying out in pain. Cin turned her body and held the hand closest to the pirate up in a sign of submisison and then with her other slide her dagger out of her leg sheath.

Clyde saw the woman put her hand up, looks like he had gotten them he thinks. The captain was going to be so pleased, walking forward he goes to grab the woman.

Cin smiles slightly as the pirate grabs her by the arm roughly, she knew it should have hurt but right now she couldn't feel it, he goes to spin her so he can grab her other arm, with a quick motion that came from years of training Cin buries her dagger in his kidney. Mouth gaping open the pirate falls to the ground his eyes wide open. He lays there twitiching, with a grimace on her face Cin wipes his blood off on her jacket, and then thinks sadly about the loss of her dagger. She then turns to Merci`, "come on I will help you up, my leg is messed up but we need to get out of here."

Kasai quickly gets down and follows after Fauve, as he gets inside the tunnel he can hear an explosion and some falling rock, he winces at the sound and then crawls back to the chamber. Looking up he can see a hole with light streaming through it. Fauve! It worked, your a genius! Kasai starts scrambling up the ledge to look through the hole.

Cin puts her arm around Merci` waist and starts going toward exit of the caves. "We are almost out of here," she says giving the other woman a reassuring smile. As Cin gets closer to the entrance she winces as the light hits her eyes.

Back in the main area of the tunnel Red sits up looking at the pirates around him angrily, "Where are they?" he roars as he gets to his feet.

Kasai turns to Fauve blinking from the light slightly, Don't worry...I wouldn't leave you behind. Here let me help you up. Kasai leans down holding his arms out so he can pull Fauve up.

((damn errors! *kicks the servers*))

Kasai looks around at the landscape and then grabs a hold of Fauve's wrist. This way, the land is getting lower. We need to get to the bike and it was in a canyon. He starts forward pulling Fauve with him. Standing at the top of a ridge he points toward a point in the distance, There is the bike...but the ROUS are swarming it - we need to find a way to get rid of them and not hurt the bike more then it already is.

Cin wraps her arm around Merci`'s shoulder and leans on her slightly and lets the other woman lean on her in return. Then she starts out toward the bike, or where she hopes it is. The rubble would keep the pirates occupied but not for long.

Red glared at the members of his crew as they moved the rubble about, "keep at it boys," he then turns and stalks off the way he had come from, "I am going to get the ground transport - don't want them getting away."

Hearing the explosions Cin looks up sharply and starts moving toward them, "...the kids!" Cin didn't even feel the pain as she moved along the cavern wall squinting into the light, her only thought was that she needed to get where Kasai was and find out why something was blowing up.

Kasai looked down the cavern wall as the explosions went off, as he watched a large bulk of fur starts moving away from the walls of the cavern. It looks as if scars cover it's body - telling of it's years of age, and Kasai can almost smell the rot of meat coming off it's body. This thing was some sort of dirty carnivore, Hopefully it eats ROUSs and not kids, Kasai thougth out loud.

Hearing Kasai's thought Cin forces herself to move and drag Merci` with her as she rounds the corner she sees the creature moving toward the bike and freezes. Then taking shallow breathes she backs up around the corner hoping not to catch it's attention, "we need to wait here for a moment." Cin tells Merci` all the while wishing she had brought the scorchmaster with her.

Coming out into daylight Red squints his eyes and the goes over to the ground transport. It was a large ugly machine with four thick tires on it, grunting he pulls himself onto it and starts trying to get it to start.
