Ria just smiled. "Yes, in fact I do. You pulled it on me before. I know it better than most. You know I'm patient, Jack," she patted him on the shoulder, "And," she added, snatching up a bottle stored in a random crate, "When the time comes, it better be nice. And fast." She opened the bottle and began drinking, debating on whether or not to offer Jack a swig. She was either paranoid or could sense him edging in for the kill. He tried to be so smooth. Enough reason to bogart it for her, she thought to herself, taking a hearty chug. At least Jack had enough sense to get the stronger stuff.

"Nice and fast, o' course, love." Jack replied before one hand shot out to grab the bottle of rum. He set his other hand over Rhiannon's, his fingers gently prying her own off the bottle, "But, I think you'd 'ad enough o' this fer one day, ay? Ye don't want ta be drinkin' us dry before we hit the next port."

"You're just mad that I stole yours!" Rhiannon shot with a laugh. Nope, not paranoid, senses were accurate. She laughed a bit more, trying to wrestle it from his grasp. "Hopefully it'll be faster than you are----and you know I'm nowhere near the drunk you are." she teased. Yes, yes. She was a 'friend'. Believe it. Just wait until the moment came. Just like the rum she'd strike and pry all he worked for from his hands and there wouldn't be a thing that he could do. Heh!

"They haven't tossed you off yet?" Rhiannon laughed, but offered him a swig after all. Remember, 'friends'. "I'm more than willin' to share witja Jack. It doesn't kill to ask." She smirked there, knowing full well she hadn't asked for her....his....bottle, either. "So explain this treasure business to me again. Where exactly we headed?"

"Well..." Jack winced, taking a step back, even declining a drink of the rum. "There's really no treasure where we're headed... but there's adventure!" he put in, trying to make Ria happy.

"Adventure...sure, Jack," Will muttered sarcastically, walking across the deck to join them. He glared at the pirate captain. "Like the adventure that you had with Elizabeth while I was stuck on the Flying Dutchman settling your debt?" evil

"How do you determine this heading?" Will asked curiously. "How exactly does your compass work? You never told me; that's what I was going to ask you earlier."

"Oh!" Jack said, suddenly surprised at Will's question. He quickly grabbed the black compass. "I've explained this little trinket to Elizabeth." the pirate spoke with a smile. "And I suppose you need ta be knowing afore that peacock Beckett gets 'is hands on it. The compass points you ta what ye want most in tha world, Will."

Ashlin had abadnoned the taask of swabbing the deck andwas now leaning against her mop and watching the show with an impish sile on her face. It was pretty amsuing, even if she only understood half of it. Flying Dutchman? That bit cofused her a bit. Okay, it confused her a lot. At least Rhianna had stated her reasons plain and out in the open. She dunked her mop in the bucket and started swabbing again when the conversation settled down; she didn't want teh captain to catch her lollygagging on the job.
"How does that work?" She asked, indicating the compass. She had never head anything like it before.

Jack laughed, "That's not 'ow it works, mate." the captain replied. "Only what ye really REALLY want can be found by tha compass."

"What if ye really really want te find north?" Ashlin said, determined to break Sparrow's logic, if for no other reason than the fun of it all.
