Xiao stared up at Xanta. "It all cycles back to your 'difference between trust and respect'."
Xiao leaned her head against the wall for a moment, closing her eyes. She spoke again, "So this 'Hetzon'. You respect him, but do you hate him?"

Xanta's fists clenched and his teeth ground together for some time before he could answer.
Yes, I hate him. I hate him because in all his knowledge and power, he is an ignorant fool. I offered him ultimate power...hell, even I would have bowed to him had he come with us, but he would not. His grudge was too strong, and it still is. Even now, he trains, preparing for his return here. Those he trains will be strong as well - the team he chooses to return and retake what he feels is his will be most able. We must not let that happen. Hetzon will die when he returns.

"Then why don't you take passive action?" Xiao asked. "You knew him well... why don't you send him an image of what you can do now? Plague his dreams..?"
Xiao tried standing again, stretching her still-burning musclces.

Xanta laughed.
Plague the dreams of the Last of the Daschen? No, Osaka, not even Darth Bane himself could have done that. Hetzon is over 700 years old. His dreams are shielded beyond any breaking that we can now do.
He will know when we are gaining sufficient strength. One by one I am identifying his contacts in the Outer Rim and having them eliminated, but I will never find them all. He will know when we begin seeking inside the Rim for apprentices.
EDIT: Xanta reached down to help Xiao stand up again.

"But can't you give him any sort of emotiaonal scar?" Xiao asked.
She frowned at the usage of Darth Bane. He may have been a Dark Lord of the Sith, but he died at the hands of a thermal detonator. Xiao decided that there were better ways to die.

Xanta thought for a moment before replying. He knew that Hetzon did not have the same control over his emotions anymore - the former Temple Master was not the only one with networks throughout the galaxy.
I am fairly certain that I have left him scarred from the fact that I was able to overthrow his Temple.

It had been a long time since she had spoken to the Light Jedi. But, from what she could recall, they were all about encouragement to each other, which lead to better attitudes.
"If this Hetzon is so strong, why are you so eager to fight him?"

Xanta smiled maliciously as Xiao asked her question.
I am not a fool, Xiaoxing. I do not intend to face him myself. With assistance, though, I believe I can adequately defeat him.

Xiao shuddered involountarily at his answer, raising her eyebrows. "I see. So it takes more than one of us to defeat him alone. How encouraging."

Xanta smiled evilly at her fear.
Do not lose that fear. Fear should make you angry, and anger can catalyze your abilities, as I have just demonstrated. You nearly broke through my shield - it is doubtful that you could have done that with a clear head.

If you are asking if Hetzon's shield would have been stronger, it is doubtful he would have used one. More than likely he would simply have drawn the power into himself and thrown it back at you, augmenting it with his own Lightning. Such a technique is very, very advanced. I am still learning to use it regularly.
Xanta lifted the sleeves of his robes. His arms were covered in hairline burns that spiraled up them in lightning like ways.
These are the consequence for not knowing how to do it properly - if done wrong, the energy simply courses along your body, much like mine did over yours earlier, except that it remains until you cease attempting to draw it into yourself.

Xiao's stomach lurchced at the sigh. "So this Hetzon has such advanced techiniques, even you can't beat them. That's just great." Xiao tilted her head to the side.
"When do you think he's returning?"
Xiao knew that she didn't have to worry about Hetzon for quite some time, but there's nothing she liked better than having a set date-- or at least an estimate from someone who knew the person well.

Xanta grimaced.
There was a time in the not so distant past when I thought perhaps he had given up on returning. Up until a few nights ago, however, my contacts had all lost track of him for the last few months. The other night I received word from one of my contacts on Coruscant that Hetzon was there. I do not know when he is coming back, but I know now that he has not given up on this Temple. He will return, though it may be years yet.

"Coruscant... the Jedi Temple?" Xiao reasoned. She hated the gigantic city with a burning passion; all the different people, every one with a bad attitude.
