Miyu is a f*ckin robot...she can't chose ..to be good or evel....
i think ...she was programed to be like that and mess with everybody...
but in the end ...she helped..somehow

Wow. ^_^;; I didn't think I'd get any replies when I said which characters I didn't like. I guess instead of Miyu I should say I don't like Searrs or John Smith, then? And uh...I'm still not a huge Shizuru fan. She's cool in Otome, but she scares me in HiME...

Leingod_Fayt Wow. ^_^;; I didn't think I'd get any replies when I said which characters I didn't like. I guess instead of Miyu I should say I don't like Searrs or John Smith, then? And uh...I'm still not a huge Shizuru fan. She's cool in Otome, but she scares me in HiME... XD some fans are defensive. I dunno, I think personally Miyu did have some free will, she was just super dedicated to Alyssa, and Alyssa was dedicated to doing what her 'father' wanted. I don't think she was all that bad, but she probably knew she was hurting the others. Interesting to get another perspective on Shizuru, she has so many die hard fangirls. I think her story is tragic myself, I hated her when she was killing people, but someone convinced me otherwise. Her and Natsuki sort of are heart busters so somehow shizuru is ussually forgiven for commiting several acts of first degree murder. I think the star helped play on that, when she started bawling when they were all ressurected sort of showed she wasn't all there I thought. But to each his own. Really really didn't like Nao. I think her being the manipulative egotistical person that she was, she couldn't see past her own desires. Yes I understand that she did what she did becsause of her mother but af all the ways to do it!
Shiho was known amongst my group of friends as the sausage headed girl. Every reason has been previously covered.
I felt bad for Yukariko because of the simple fact that she was being used and in a way had been brainwashed. All she wanted was happiness and in the end it destroyed her.
I also didn't like Tate because it seemed like he let Shiho get away with a lot of stuff others wouldn't have.
John Smith needs to suffer the same fate as Miyu did... except not come back.
I think thats it... yup

Well Nao was kind of mutilated for no reason, so I could sympathize with her a bit, and then there was the star (the eternal scapegoat).

I have mixed feelings about Nao. In the end, I pitied her, as I'm sure Sunrise intended. But still...it still seems like she could have avoided problems by not abusing her power (but then again, if everyone played nice there wouldn't be any fun). I've never been a fan of 'slut' characters, even if they were only playing and this nor that actually never happened. Still, seeing her with a different guy every time she showed up was kinda funny.

Mleh, I never hated Nao. What she was doing was sucky, and she didn't handle things well at all, but she was getting pity from me, because as soon as she tried to learn how to trust she got ******** over due to the stupid nun.
Then when the info about her parents was revealed, instant feeling bad want to hug the poor thing better (even though she'd slash my eyes out) thing going on.
They all sort of acted on their own desires. It's just seems that most didn't involve maiming the others. Midori seems to have been the only full altruistic one. She seemed to only want to keep all of them from fighting. The others had feelings of this but their own motives overtook that urge at some point.
Even when Midori was faced with fighting Mikoto, she refused to really fight, all her moves were defensive through and through.
