Name: Robert Blackstone
Age: 20
Education: A year of college, but financial situations led me to drop out so i could work full time.
Background: In and out of poverty, more in than out though.
Interests: Reading, Writing, and RISK!
Occupation: Telemarketer (seriously....)
Political Alignment: Political Alignment? Well if the name hasn't given it away. I'm a die hard Communist. To be more exact; A Leninist. As of now I firmly believe in the polarization of society into classes through property relations. I find it truthful that all ideology, morals, laws, aspirations dreams, all come from material circumstances; from without. Furthermore, I see the world in an ever changing flux, a process in which we are powerless to stop. Some would call this Dialectical Materialism (that's what I call it)
In my political cubical of madness also lies the belief that the working class is to be the champion of a new world order. A historical stage of development known as communism. But the working class cannot do it alone. Currently we stand divided by questions of Race, Gender, Sexual preference and the Nation. We seek to abolish these petty concepts and unite the world under the true moving force of history, Human Labour. We must stand organized , and ready to fight the most bitter of struggles to win freedom from oppression and cure this world of the ills that loom and threaten the human race in the name of surplus-value. In this respect I am a Leninist.
However my flaw is this. I really don't like to offend unless i think they deserve it. I go out of my way to unite those who cannot be united and try to make it so everyone gets their own way. But this effects me in political struggles for I then put myself into positions where I take a stance I don't actually advocate. On top of this, I constantly doubt what I know and how I apply it, which leads me to take a almost completely different stance on things on a given day. Some days I'll advocate Trotsky and the Next I'll be bashing him with a club that has a picture of Stalin's p***s on it. SO just be mindful of that if we are to enter any long term political discussions.
With that, I am humbled by your gracious act of accepting me into this guild and Communists rule, Capitalists drool, and Weindigo sucks.

Name: I am to be referred to as Herobane. I don't want my real name known except by friends, for security reasons >_>
Age: 19 at the time I wrote this.
Current location: Wouldn't you like to know? No seriously though, I'm currently in Southwestern Ontario.
Political views: I'm militant anti-fascist first, everything else is secondary to that.
I am on the radical left. I oppose the right in all its forms, particularily in its most radical and militant. Neo-Nazis, the Hungarian Jobbik movement, and the Tea Parties are noteworthy examples.
I believe strongly in peoples' right to national self-determination. If a people wants independence from a higher authority, I support that. Secessionists and seperatists almost always have my support.
I am pro-choice, and support abortion as an option for anyone.
I support the death penalty for certain crimes, provided adequate evidence can be provided.
I oppose weapons restriction, seeing it as a way of removing the power of a people to overthrow their goverment.
I firmly oppose any professional standing army, and the state police forces. They are defenders of the state, and since the state is corrupt and evil, these men and women are equally culpable for the state's crimes, particularily given as they are the hands and arms of the state, carrying out its dirty work.
I currently am apathetic to the drug trade, and of drugs themselves. I used to be firmly opposed to them, and have since ceased to care.
I will likely update this in future. -Herobane Sunday, April 25. 2010

Real name: Manny Z
Age: 19
Current location: Chicago, IL
Race: Hispanic
Likes: wolves, protests, anime, video games, and being a furry (4chan members, beware)
Dislikes: racists, true trolls (I admit, I can be a troll at times), over-glorified sport hunters, 4chan, Anonymous, and people who believe in stereotypes
Political views:
I'm a centrist, but left-leaning in recent days. I'm anti-abortion except in cases of rape, incest, or if the mother's life's in danger. I'm pro-adoption, though, considering that there are many people who can't have children who still want to raise one. I'm pro-guns thanks to the 2nd Amendment, but I'm anti-gun flaunting! lol I tend to be apathetic to most Democrats because they have no spines, in my opinion, but Republicans get me riled up because of how further radicalized the party has become. I do respect core values of both conservatives and liberals, but in my opinion, our political parties don't represent the people the way they used to.
I'm pro-environment, believing that global climate change is caused by both human and non-human actions. I also despise Sarah Palin's very guts and soul for her radical anti-enviro views and her anti-wildlife views. Let's say me and her have a personal issue regarding the wolves that she's helped kill in Alaska thanks to the aerial hunting laws that she passed when she was governor.
I'm pro-gay rights because I believe that they deserve all of the qualifications of regular straight Americans like everyone else. I'm for equality in this country.
I'm also pro-immigration reform, but strictly anti-amnesty, considering that Reagan did that, and it worsened things here in America. I like the idea where an illegal immigrant with no other criminal crimes committed in the US can get on the path if they fess up, pay a fine or two, and learn English and the basics of this country. Then they can go on to the citizenship test that everyone else who gets in can take.
Outside of ED-P: I'm a 19 year-old kid who is currently unemployed while taking a break from school to tie up some loose ends. I live with my grandmother and my four siblings, as well as visiting my friends in Iowa every now and then (yes, I did go to the University of Iowa last year). I am a bit of a Poké-freak (games and cards!), so if anyone wants to battle me, send me a PM and I'll give you my friend code.
I'm also a big soccer freak, I pay attention to what's going on in Europe and the MLS (although I lean more towards being a fan of Chelsea FC). If you're ever around me on a weekend where there's a game going on, expect me to be screaming at the top of my lungs a LOT!
I also like to tweak with computers. I'm probably one of the few ED-P regs to be running a Mac system (it runs Windows too!), and no, I'm not a coder. I prefer to work more hands-on with actual software as well as some of the hardware. I'm thinking about building a hackintosh if I ever get the funds for one.
And did I also mention that I was a furry?
More about Aniro: And yes, I have Asperger's syndrome as well, just thought I'd get that out of the way for you guys. I'm not going to talk about it (so I suggest you go look it up for yourself), but... Anyways, I tend to be a very passionate guy when I talk and sometimes, I can be a bit of an a*****e. So if things get heated, then you've been warned.
Thanks to The Curse for inviting me!

Name: Call me Emme (a name formed from the two m's in musing_maiden). Age: 20 Current location: USA Political views: Social democrat. Probably best defined, in broad terms, by the Wikipedia article on "social democracy": Quote: a political ideology of the center-left on the political spectrum. The contemporary social democratic movement seeks to reform capitalism to align it with the ethical ideals of social justice while maintaining the capitalist mode of production, as opposed to creating an alternative socialist economic system. Practical modern social democratic policies include the promotion of a welfare state, and the creation of economic democracy as a means to secure workers' rights. I wish that the US was a parliamentary democracy, so that such third parties could actually exist instead of having to appeal to dilute their ideologies in a polarized political dichotomy. Other than that, I am a few other things that may give you a good idea of my political views on certain subjects and/or my personality: Aspiring human rights lawyer. Feminist. Political Science major. Reader. Linguaphile. Writer. Runner. Hiker. Bird watcher. Animal-lover. Vegetarian (aspiring vegan). Environmentalist. Political Heros and/or Influences: Jesus (in a purely non-theocratic sense), Aung San Suu Kyi, Giuseppe Garibaldi (because the dude conquered a frickin' kingdom, then willingly gave it all to his king - who else in history has done that out of goodwill?), George Orwell, John Rawls, Gabriel García Márquez, Leo Tolstoy, Simone Weil, Simone de Beauvoir, Naomi Klein, Nicholas Kristof, Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, Barack Obama

Age: 22
Education: I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Political Science with a Concentration in Public Policy.
Current Location: Washington DC Metropolitan Area
Political Views: Libertarian Democrat. I still support a stronger social safety net for the poor than currently provided for by the US government, however a lot of local regulations should be repealed, and a general promotion of a greater free trade and labor oriented macro policy.
Other: I play guitar, bass, and do amateur photography. I have a Martin Dreadnaught acoustic guitar, a Rickenbacker 4003, and a Pentax Spotmatic, respectively. I read sci-fi books in my free time, and enjoy old spaghetti westerns.

Name: Matthew Aldrich Age: 28 Current Location: Montana, U.S. Political Compass - Economic Left/Right: -7.38 : Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.79 About me: Based on the numbers above, you can probably already get a fair estimate of where I stand politically. A notable exception to my likely-anticipated alignment is that I am both a supporter and participant of firearm ownership in the United States. Despite my left-wing political alignment, I was only very recently honorably-discharged from the U.S. Army after 7+ years of active duty; I am currently living on a portion of the dearth of money I saved during those years. Meanwhile, I've been spending a lot of time reading and collecting things, primarily antiques of all stripes as well as old video games. Feel free to throw a shout my way if you have an interest in seeing some of it. I'm actually not terribly sure why I was invited into this guild, as I'd contributed very few posts to the Politics board (ED was more my normal stomping grounds) - I can't be anything other than the sort of person that The Curse is referring to when he mentions the "Old Guard" dissipating. I won't apologize for being invited, but for now I'll at least keep quiet and observe how the board works, like a newfag is supposed to.

Mana-Tree but for now I'll at least keep quiet and observe how the board works, like a newfag is supposed to. By all means, participate. This guild isn't fast enough right now for much to be gleaned just yet. I should probably update my bio at some point, since I erased it.
