+.+ Man. A baby uses all four "legs". As a kid/adult, you use two. As an old person, you use your two legs and a cane.

misslovelyness Here are a few attempts: 1. What flies winglessly and never stops? 2. I am a number. When I am squared, I'm smaller than I was before. Divide me in two, you get the same number as when you squared me. What number am I? (Hint: I am a part of something huge!)

Ok, here's a long one.
A man has three sons, and is nearing the end of his life. He has nothing in the world but a small but prolific farm, too small to divide between the three, and a sum of money. He tells his three sons that he will give them one hundred dollars, and that with that money they must each buy something, and that something must fill his storeroom. Whichever one of them manages this will get the farm, and the others will get half of his money each. The oldest son buys one hundred dollars worth of sand, but only manages to fill one third of the room. The middle son buys one hundred dollars worth of grain, but only manages to fill half the room. The third son spends three dollars, and fills the entire room. What did he buy, and what was the room filled with?

This one is an old proverb story from some country in Asia.. I think it's from China, but I could be wrong.
A man is having an out of body experience, and is confronted by an angel. The angel tells him that he may ask the angel one question. The man asks the angel to show him heaven and hell. The angel nods, and opens a portal to the two worlds. The man first looks at hell, and sees several people sitting in a circle around a table of food, each trying to eat unsuccessfully with a pair of chopsticks that are seven feet long. The man then looks to heaven, and sees the same thing, but realizes that the people in hell are starving, but the people in heaven are all well fed. How is this possible?

How is this possible? answer (in white): the people in heaven are using the chopsticks to feed each other. the people in hell are trying to feed themselves (they're too selfish) biggrin

i've got some: 1. The hungry dog howls for crust of bread. his cry goes unheard. It's far overhead.
2. never ahead, ever behind, yet flying swiftly past; for a child i last forever; for adults i'm gone too fast.
3. It can be said: To be gold is to be good; To be stone is to be nothing; To be glass is to be fragile; To be cold is to be cruel. Unmetaphored, what am I?

see if any one of you can figure this out (it was difficult for me):
what has wings, but cannot fly. is enclosed, but can outside also lie. can open itself up, or close itself away. is the place of kings and queens, and doggerel of every means. what is it upon which i stand, which can lead us to different lands?

In which month do Americans drink the least amount of milk?
A woman wakes up on a Sunday morning to find her husband dead. There were only three other people in the house. The maid said she was cleaning around the house. The cook said he was preparing a breakfast for them to wake up to. The butler said he was out receiving the mail. How killed the husband?

The Butler because there is no post on Sundays.. I think..
