Allie enjoyed it too. These were her kind of people, not afraid, and not shy. This group she knew she would get along well with. She clapped wildly for Isaac, cheering and wooting like it was some sort of concert.

"I thought there's s'posed to be more'n just us here." Of course, Dusky had been the one to tell him it was 'an island full of crazies and dead people like you'. She might have been fooling him. "Is she always ready ta tar and feather ya for just sayin' hullo like that?!" His accent was thick.

Eyelids fluttering, Lucy awoke to the beautiful face of Basil leaning over her. Beautiful because he was so splendidly alive. With a bit of a cry, she flung her arms around him, trying to ignore the concerned wispy thing that continued its efforts to examine her.

"Its AWFUL!" she bawled. "My parents sent me away to boarding school and everyone here is crazy and there are ghosts and I miss my brother and I just want to go home."

She was too frightened and confused to be embarrased right now. That was for later.

Isaac ended dramatically, doing one of those bizarre falling-backwards-and-pushing-yourself-up that he'd seen some breakdancers do once, and despite the audible crack of complaint his back made, he threw his arms up and beamed. "We need freeze dance," he concluded, offering a polite little china-man bow to Allie and Charley both.

Pence shrugged. "Aye, she's a man hatin' whore," Pence stated, like it was true fact that you could find in a statistics chart of the National Geographic. "Ah thought so tae, but ah dinnae see much." He looked disappointed.

Surprised, Basil let her hold onto him, doing his best to keep her steady. "I'm sorry," he cooed, rubbing her left arm in a vain attempt to settle her. "You cannot go home right now, but if you like, I can take you back to your room. Are you sure you are well?"

"Tar and feathers is for sissies - I'll ******** castrate you," Gabby hissed, materializing between the pair with a cackle of glee. "If there was anything there! Which in this case there isn't. Shut the ******** up already."

"I would challenge you to the death only we don't have any liquor," said Charley sadly, but nonetheless high-fived Isaac in the manner of badass homies. "Dude, you are mad okay in my book, and my book is the only book you'll ever need. You are on page 57. Under 'cool'."

"Yer a ********' whore," Pence hissed back, kicking at her. "Be gone, ye travesty of death." He waves his rosary at her and hisses. "Yeh are far tae obsessed with men's crotches, as yeh bring 'em up all tha toime."

"Can I read it?" Isaac asked hopefully, not seeming to understand the metaphor.

"I'm obsessed with your lack thereof, dumbass," Gabby shot back. She felt the kick of course, but being dead had its advantages - no pain. So she did what she would normally do in this kind of situation, living or dead, and swung a fist at Pence.

Allie, no longer destracted by dancing, notices Lucy on the floor with Basil and rushes over there. "Oh my gaw! Is she all right?" she asked hastily.

"Ya know, only whores I heard of who were all ornery and uppity were the ones who didn't make much money." July replies, not really seeing a need to be nice since for one, she'd thrown that in his face, and two, she'd taken a shot at his dignity.

"I'm still writing it," said Charley. "I need more dinosaur stickers."

"Ah kin show yae if yer gonna play nasty," Pence announced, throwing himself on her and sliding the both of them out from underneath the table into the middle of the room. He was a flurry of fists, not caring she was a lady - in fact he had waited for this for quite some time. "Lesse it, then!"

Brad spoke up for the first time in a while. "Bout time Pence! Punch her the ******** out!!"

"I've got panda bears!" Isaac offered, beaming happily. "Well - I mean, not with me - " His brow suddenly furrowed as he patted his pockets down, lips pursed to the side. "No, they're in my other pair. They're fuzzy!"

Sniffling, Lucy wiped the back of her hand under her nose, using her other to dap her eyes. "I'm fine. Just... just not used to being so far from home is all. Bet you wish you'd never let a kid like me come out here. I'm a liability. A loose cannon. I just wish someone had told me what this was all about. I'm old enough that I dont need to be lied to."

She stood up and ladled herself a cup full of the now spiked punch. It smelled fruity and spicy and she downed the small glass in one glup, feeling an unfamiliar warmth spread over her shoulders. "I'll be fine. Really. Besides, now I dont have to worry about making friends. No one is going to want to talk to me now."
