So you can speak.... Maybe they haven't totally destroyed the Cora I knew after all.
*he stands up slowly*
Yes, I know you, Cora. Your name is Cora Serenis, and you once served under me in Omegaforce. My name is James Olsen. Do you remember that? Do you remember anything at all about me?
*he watches her for some sign of recognition*

:::The second he moves, her body reacts, and she positions herself as if ready to strike... but at the crucial moment, she can do nothing but stand still. Her eyes are on him, wide... almost afraid. But eventually she blinks.
Her body stays rigid in the position she's put it. But her eyes look at him from top to bottom. She says nothing. She thinks nothing.
Her eyes eventually fall off of him, something utterly against her training. She looks to the floor. She doesn't know what to do...also utterly against her training:::

*Olsen shakes his head* I suppose not. It was too much to ask...
Cora... I know you're here to kill me, and I deserve it. Not because I've sinned against our society. Our society doesn't even understand sin anymore.
No, I deserve to die because I allowed them to destroy the savior of our world. I wasn't even paid in silver for it.
But before you kill me, Cora... I want you to know just who you are.
*He reaches into his belt, fully expecting to be killed before he can retrieve the item*

:::Something, deep down, burried, digs it's way up. Mercy 7 feels as though the edges of her surroundings had been faded into black. A half real place, where only her target was focused...
But now, the blur was beginning to change. The edges of her mind began to ripple, and she began to see things clearer than ever before...yet, she had no idea what she was looking at. All she saw was...:::
James.
:::Her arms lowered, and her body realed back. She said his name, and she didn't know why...but was starting to forget protocol. Personal thoughts, personal words were slowly becoming possible:::
Who... I...

*Olsen draws the pendant out of his belt and dangles it in front of her*
This belongs to you, Cora. It would have been destroyed too. I saved that much at least. Take it.
Do you remember it? Do you remember the people in the picture?
I can read the inscription, though I confess I do not understand it. It has been my dream to learn what it means.
Can you tell me, Cora? I don't want to die without knowing....

:::Her surroundings were becoming staggered, the way light bends when you see it through extreme heat... Things began to violently change. She wasn't sure if reality was breaking down, or if she herself was about to fall apart. The objects she focused on were crisp. The edges were no longer black...now they were disappearing.
When James took out the pendant, even he too, so clear, began to fade into the edges of her vision. Soon all she could see was his hand, which held a strange object, yet more crystaline than anything else. She saw herself reaching for it...
She cupped her hand underneath it, and lifted it up. The chain fell from Olsen's hand, and it fell past hers, towards the floor, the whip of it's shine made her snap out of it.
Her surroundings were completely gone...
Just her, the locket, a few chairs, tabels...and a bar:::
