William Hartnell ( 1st Doctor) appeared in the comedy, "The Mouse That Roared" as a butler who also acted as an army sergeant. As a Star Trek fan, I noted that he looked and sounded surprisingly just like patrick Stewart!

Patrick Troughton played the medieval assassin in Olivier's film of "Richard III", he was the desperate priest in "The Omen", and the creepy ratcatcher in hammer film's "Phantom of the Opera".

Jettrick Christopher Ecclestone starred in many gritty northern dramas before appearing in Doctor Who....as well as a lacklustre film adaptation of Jude the Obscure with Kate Winslet in the nineties. It was here he had a pig's bladder thrown at him ninja I should probably check that fact but I swear it was him xD stare It's ECCLESTON. I can't stand it when people do that, sorry. scream domokun

fredwise In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, David Tennant played the bad guy, and Roger Lloyd-Pack played the good guy. Interestingly they were father and deranged son! Now, in Doctor Who, the roles are reversed! (See episodes 5 & 6...) ^^ I got that the second I heard his voice. mrgreen mrgreen Too bad they didn't have a scene where they meet face-to-face before the Cyberchange thing. sad

Roobarb Sam Troughton - grandson of Patrick Troughton - is to play a character called Much in a new BBC series of Robin Hood that should be out in Britain by the Autumn. He will also be starring alongside Billie Piper in the movie Spirit Trap. OMG! eek That Robin Hood thing is true?!?! WHOA. I've seen every episode so far. ^^

katybutterfly Freaj Also, the person who played Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter played... ah you know in the second series (David Tennant) how there is an episode that follows a human, and he falls in love with her but she is absorbed by the absorbathron thingy. Well aren't I doing a great job at explaining! The episode's called Love and Monsters. 3nodding After that episode I half expected to see the Doctor waving the sonic screwdriver going "Expecto Patronum!".... stare gonk burning_eyes

katybutterfly Yeah, Rab C Nesbitt. David played a transvestite barmaid called Davina in a 1991 episode. It was his first TV appearance following his graduation from RSAMD, and he was 20. There are screen caps in the photos section of www.david-tennant.com under the heading "Before They Were Famous". I saw that clip and nearly died from it. burning_eyes

Shirley Henderson, the actress who played both Moaning Myrtle and Ms. Paving Slab with a Love Life, was born in Nov. 1965... making her 41 years old. I thought she was a LOT younger... eek

Just out of curiosity, any idea where this picture of Troughton is from? (please ignore the whopper value meal...)

Pirpi-Chan Velvetnight in Jude, Christopher Ecclestone had to film a fight with a drunken collage drop-out. the drunk was played by David Tennant. REALLY?? i watched jude on TV not too long ago.... (ok it was on at 2am so i probably want paying much attention) xd i think the 1st thing i said to my TV (its my best friend ya know. *psycho face*) was ZOMG HE HAS HAIR! then just... died. Same here, it was one of those three digit channel numbers at 1 am....I freaked out a bit when I realized it was Eccleston, and even moreso when I saw he had hair. xd But there was no 'drunken fight scene'..David Tennant was a waiter at a pub...and he had two lines...and that's the only time Tennant and Eccleston are in the same movie/show apart from the regeneration scene for Comic Relief.... o.-

Both the captain of the ship in 'Impossible Planet/Satan Pit' and Margaret Slitheen (series 1) were in Casanova with David Tennant, the captain of the ship being the right-hand companion. 3nodding
