"I..." He was about to calmly state his reasons, when some COM chatter rang in his ear from the portable system he still had attached. He swiftly clicked it on and turned away from who appeared as she ship's captain and AI as he spoke into the mic. "Restock both ships with supplies from the Titan, and send out ships to retrieve the pilots from the disabled Longswords, since they should be running low on oxygen soon." He clicked off the COM, before turning and looking back at the fox-like creature. "I fired at you because you're not an ally of mine."

Rasa spoke this time, steepeling his fingers in front of his mouth in a thoughtful manner.
"I can see where we would be easily mistaken for a larger ship. However, that does not give you the right to fire upon us."
As further theatrics, Rose shut the bulkhead door behind the man that was an intruder in her bridge.
"If this is how you treat Allies, then we don't need enemies."
She spoke as it clanged shut.

"Then..." His right trigger finger twitched as he raised his Magnum and pointed it at the ship's Captain, "You should kill me. If we're truly enemies, then I'm a threat and you must deal with me." He didn't bother showing any form of emotion at this point, feeling that they crew of this vessel would simply draw one conclusion after another as he pointed the gun directly at the Captain's center of mass.

"Put your gun away sir. It will do you no good here."
Behind him, there could be heard the clangs of the escorts pounding away at the door.
Rasa stood, and walked around his chair to the screen which opened for him, showing the ring world and the few ships. The top of the Pelican could be seen as it floated just below the prongs of the ship.
"You are in no danger here, not on my ship. Other captains would have blown away any parties as soon as they had seen them. As you can tell, I am not one of them."
He suddenly turned towards his guest.
"You should know, I could legally have you killed right here and now on charges. Attempted murder of seven humans who were only trying to help. It wouldn't look good for you."

"And I garuntee that I'd get away with it completely..." He didn't lower his pistol as the Captain decided to waltz around his bridge, and simply tracked his movement carefully, while maintaining a calm posture, not wanting to appear as if he was about to crack and get blown away by an AI's defenses. "Another option would be that I shoot you and get shot in return by your ship's AI system. Another would be that I try to shoot out the windows of your bridge, which wouldn't work thanks to you sealing it off. Another would be that you do actually try to press charges against me if you got out of here alive, and you'd be labeled as pirates and arrested before you could even get your story in."

"Is it truly piracy if we destroy your anemies for you? It would seem, that in all your magnificant weaponry and the like, you could barely lay a hand upon me. We only take things from the Covenant, and we scavange from the hulls of human craft for armor and ammunition. Label us as pirates, we don't care. We are just humans trying to survive."
He strode over to the left and leaned over the shoulder of one of his gunners, a female.
"Are the plasma guns back online yet?"
"Yes sir. The mac guns are online as is the missile launcher."
"Good. As I was saying, you could try to kill me, or my AI could shoot your gun out of your hand. You could try to shoot out my window, but I have my shields. Or, you could wait and listen to what I have to say before you try anything stupid."
All the while, their friend Gai had been listening in with his comms unit. His carrier had been watching over them, waiting for some kind of signal or all clear or open fire. He hoped it wasn't the later.

"The AI may shoot the gun out of my hand, but it can't shoot the grenade in my left thigh pouch, so you're in danger no matter how arrogant you act. Also, you're the Captain of an armed vessel that is neither apart of the UNSC or self-defense forces. You are pirates or rebels, and you will be dealt with as such by our forces."

Rasa's eyes darkend as he heard this.
"Gai? Are you listening?"
"Yes sir. I am listening."
"Good. Keep in touch."
He turned back to his guest after speaking with the controler of the Covenant Carrier.
"We are freelance. Not pirates, persay."

"Oh? Well, that makes everything perfectly fine." He couldn't help but let a hint of sarcasm enter the tone of his voice as he spoke. "You should have just said so before we wasted all of that ammunition."

Shouted the AI of the ship, the lights flickering in her anger. A quick gesture from Rasa stopped her fury. But only just.
"As I said before. We came to assist. You fired upon us. We defended ourselves. Men died because of it. And yet, you blame us for it?"
The guns which had been watching their guest shut down and returned to their normal positioning, looking all the world like a regular piece of the piping.

He failed to lower his own gun, having never felt a need to as he managed to keep his arm in the same position this entire time. "Yes. Was it so difficult to send a message? You easily managed to use our COM system, so you had the ability." He resisted the urge to fire at the holographic AI as he ignored another request ringing in his ear.
((I'm sleeping for now. We'll continue whenever we get around to it.))

Being free of the laws of conversation and manners, the fox AI known as Rose could say anything she wanted. And she did so regularly.
"You are a moronic trigger happy dope that probably still sucks his thumb at night. I would space you now if I could, but that would kill us all."
When that was done, she somehow blew a wet raspberry at him, a long purple tongue wiggling with it.

"I wouldn't even waste the time to think of it. Now then, if you truly wish me to leave, how about providing me with a way out?" He holstered his Magnum casually as he turned to his side, reaching out and tapping against the metal door behind him, before lookin back at the holographic AI.
