From what I've seen, I looooove this yuri! Etoile is so beautufil! eek
Right now, the DVD boxests (seasons 1 and 2) are on sale online. They're region free and have english subtitles! I really want to watch this series. I can't watch it on youtube because I have a 56k modem! emo

I've only seen the first four episodes, but it's pretty cute, if not a little silly. It seems to reference other shoujo-ai anime. I like how it sort of twists things around so that homosexuality is the norm here, instead of girls being boy-crazy. It's not realistic, but it's a nice change. It's cool how Nagisa doesn't even worry about having a crush on another girl.
The characters seem okay so far. Nagisa is kind of conventional but very nice, like Tohru from Fruits Basket. Shizuma is very interesting. It's nice to see a female character like her. She reminds me of Touga from Utena. I like Tamao quite a bit, especially since she's a poet. Her obsession with Nagisa is a little creepy, though. Hikari is really sweet too. Amane is cool and a very elegant person. I think Yaya is the most attractive character so far. She seems very playful. I like Tsubomi for being a little brat, haha.
Chikaru is my favorite so far. Besides being one of the prettiest characters, she's a lot like me in personality. She's friendly but also very observant, and she stays calm about everything. I like how creative and eccentric she is, too. She and the other girls from Lilim seem more like impartial observers than real characters, like the Shadow Play Girls from Revolutionary Girl Utena.
I think Hikari/Amane has great potential, although I feel bad for Yaya's unrequited crush on her. Kaname/Momomi is interesting; even though they're both mean people, they seem to care about each other. I like Nagisa/Shizuma even though I think Tamao's crush on her is really cute and sad. I also feel sorry for Miyuki liking Shizuma. And I think Shizuma/Amane would be interesting because it's like a princess/prince type. I like how Chikaru isn't together with anyone. Perhaps she's the only straight character on the show, or maybe she just isn't interested in anyone.
I really like the music. The theme song is really catchy and pretty. It's a gorgeous school, too. Lilim and Spica have the cutest uniforms. I'm a little confused as to why people from Lilim and Spica are walking around Miator, but whatever.
I hope to see how this series develops. It's the first yuri series I've watched with actual romance.

I love this series!! It is soo adorable!
I really like Chiyo-chan, she's so cute.
I liked the episode where she finds out she will be Nagisa and Tamao's little sister. When she bows at the registration table, she bonks her face onto it.. 4laugh

I just recently bought the first volume in English. biggrin I haven't had a chance to check out the anime yet, though...
