I think we should let this run until Monday, to see if we get any more good ones, and then start up the class. If we want to have a second quiz after the class, now would also be a good time to start thinking on questions.
And yeah, I rather expected Timmy to try as well. He always has before.

The whole point was to use logic not ignore it, I'd say that's enough to deny him. For convenience here were my votes:

I think we should just look at their performance rather than quiz them. If they do a shitty job or go inactive we drop em instantly, if they do well we let em be full crew. It would be wise to skip any probation, since we are eeffectively letting them join on probation
On Tim: yea, perhaps he just decided theres no chance of joining after his previous app. If you really think he could do well, I feel I should say it would be very bad to ask him to turn one in. If he gets cocky thinking we really wanted him in crew I imagine he would be hard to handle.

Experience How many years or months have you been Role Playing? Going on nearly 10/11 years. It's been so long I've forgotten really.
Have you ever been a crew member? Yes, in multiple guilds I have been crew. Most of the time they up me to Vice Captain due to activity levels and ability to understand the systems.
What is you level of literacy? I would like to say that I am Literate.
Activity Questions How often can you sign online? I am on for at least 8 hours a day.
How long have you been a member of Path of the Shinobi? About a month.
Do you have any real life after-school activities or a job? I assist my mom with her dog grooming business (but it's only for an hour a day).
What do you think you can contribute to the guild by being a crew member? I'd like to contribute myself really. I have long hours to donate to any menial work that needs to be done, I would like to say that I am creative as well, I love teaching new RPers and members to guilds the basics and how to improve themselves. I have a high tolerance for patience when it comes to talking things out with people in case they do not understand something. Mostly I want to see this guild thrive even more than it is already. There's always work to be done, things to be edited and improved upon and new members to gain and teach. If there's at least one thing I can do to help improve the guild, I'd like to be able to offer my time and mind.
Scenarios Following are several questions relating to scenarios you may find yourself in as crew. Please answer each honestly and to the best of your capability.
Hinote and Gregar have been acting strangely and seem to be planning something. You have a bad feeling about it, and are worried that they might be plotting something wrong. What do you do? A, Confront them directly. B, Alert Luo that something is wrong. C, Stay out of it and hope for the best. Technically you could do all three, but standing around and doing nothing never gets anyone anywhere. Just because people are acting a little strange doesn't mean it has to be bad. First, I'd ask what was happening. You shouldn't make assumptions just because something seems off. If they're planning a surprise birthday party for someone in the guild I'd totally want to be apart of it. If I find out that it is in fact, without a doubt, something that wouldn't be good for the reputation of the guild or if they are conspiring against another member, I would alert the Captain with screen captions of what was said directly from the other person so that there will be no lies or 'rewording' accusations. If it was something interesting for a mini arc in a village I'd offer my assistance to them if they wanted it. The more minds working on something the better it'll turn out.
You've been in crew for awhile now, and have realized that while she is only Crew ranked like you, Hikaro seems to be acting like a VC, and evens seems to control the VCs at times. What do you do? A, Ignore her. She has no real power. B, Ask Luo or the VCs about it. C, Confront her yourself. D, Embrace the shadow regime. None of the above. Never ignore someone. Even if they act higher rank, she's crew just like me. A VC is just the same as Crew only with slight more power going on. Everyone has a mind of their own and a voice to be heard (even if some are louder than others). To be honest, I see myself as someone to take control of a situation I see not going as smoothly as it should. If it happens in more than one area, I would get on to whoever is supposed to be in control of the area and urge or remind them what they are supposed to be doing <- though I'd do it in a polite manner of course. Just because someone is reminding people what they are supposed to be doing does not mean that they are being that way for a reason other than the betterment of the guild. If acting like that is considered a bad thing then I have done very badly as a Crew member in past guilds.
You've been put in charge of a customs field, and have been doing a pretty good job, but after you denied something of Timmy's, he just wouldn't stop arguing about it, and he's starting to get on your nerves. What do you do? A, Tell him it's denied, and refuse to respond. B, Just approve it and get it over with. C, Call in Hinote to put him in line. D, Explain it again, and hope he understands this time. None of the above. When someone is creating a custom, that means they've spent some good time on it. I'd be pretty ticked if someone denied me over something incredibly tiny in a custom I posted up and I tried to talk to them about why and just got ignored. I'd take the time to talk to them about what was going wrong with his custom and offer revisions and help him out with the custom until it's able to be approved. If in the long run he just doesn't give in to the changes, then I have no choice but to tell him that there is just not a way I can approve the custom without making my position as Custom Mod look laughable. I cannot bend to the will of a single member without bending to everyone else's whims as well.
Two people are fighting in an OoC thread about a recent RP battle. RPer 1 is accusing RPer 2 of God Modding while RPer 2 says that RPer 1 was Meta Gaming. You have read the posts yourself and you think it could go either way. Both RPers seem to be highly annoyed and their fight is getting heated. Some of the other members are starting to get involved in the dispute as well. You are the only crew member online and this problem needs to be resolved now. What do you do? I would end the fight within the OoC thread immidiately. Any and all fighting between members is bad for the guild and should be taken to private PMs where they can deal with their fight by themselves. If it gets heated enough to the point where I need to step in at that point, I would tell them to reword their posts enough to clear up any and all accusatory sentences so both cannot be held at fault. If they still do not adhere to any sense of civility and I get permission from one of the higher level crew, the posts in question will be cleared and the battle will never have been taken place. Keep in mind this is only in extreme situations where both parties have pretty much gone off their rockers.
Bobby and Sally are two members of the guild that seem to have been friends for a long time. One day they seem to have a fight. Bobby called Sally a know it all b***h and Sally called Bobby an annoying little ******. You see this dispute quickly getting out of hand in the guild's chatroom and you know some members may be getting offended by what is being said. What do you do? I would inform them that their fight is not guild-wide information and needs to be taken to private PMs. No matter the circumstances, bad names/cursing in that manner and fighting in a public chat is not acceptable.

Tim: Fair point, especially considering his reactions in Suna chat.
Apple: I have my reservations on this one simply due to length of time in guild. Does the suspension of bias/screening and all that extend to time limits?
1. She seems to cover all her bases on this one without really picking a single route. It's an okay answer though.
2. Not sure what to think of this one. She took "None of the above" despite it not being a listed answer, which I'm fairly certain I stated in the thread was not an option, but the answer itself isn't that bad. She does take it in an odd direction by seemingly replacing Hikaro in the question with herself, which completely changes the equation but... Yeah, I dunno.
3. She claims on this one to take none of the above again, but the explanation is pretty much D. Still, I dunno.
4. Starts out okay, but then she falls back on deleting posts and invalidating the battle, which we've all agreed is last resort.
5. Short and simple, but correct.
All in all, 2-3/5 or so. I'm unsure on this one. Maybe in another month or two once she's gotten to know the guild better would be a better idea than trying her now.

Do we want to do the promotions today, as Greg suggested, or wait a couple days and do it Monday instead? Or even another day all together? We've probably gotten most all the apps we're going to now.

Apple: 2: it was a bit odd how she turned it around onto herself, but I think i get the point shes trying to make. 3: Too passive I'd say. She gave what I would call the right answer, but her wording suggests she would probably keep "discussing" the problems for eternity before realizing that just doesnt always work. 4th Q: First she tells them to deal with it outside of public view. If their are accusations of rule-breaking the crew should look into solving the problem, not pushing it behind the curtain. This is the main difference between questions 4 and 5. 5 deals with an argument beyond the crew "jurisdiction" and once an issue gets that personal we cant be held responsible for solving it. Then she says if it continues shell tell them to reword their posts. This is okay, it would probably be better to make them repost or if they werent getting the point you could "correct" the result. (ex. you dont dodge or whatever, he hits you) Then she says, if the problem continues the battle will be void. Honestly I have to agree to a point. If a battle keeps bringing up problems like this *cough*Jishaku*Cough* It may be wise to put an end to it altogether. She does also list this as more of a last resort and knows to discuss it with the crew first.
I would say her main drawback, other than her time as a member, is that she seems pretty passive in all the answers. She seems like even more of a people pleaser than I was when promoted to crew. This shows in her attempts to cover all her bases in her answers. I would say it is a bigger chance than we may want. A yes-girl would be just as useful as an inactive crew member, and she been around that long. I would let that slide for a better application.
I guess my final vote is no.

I was going to say we should wait, but honestly we want people who will respond and help in development. If it takes too long for them to send an application they probably arent worth it. We also have a good batch to try out,
