⋅⊰⊱≶•≷ ⊰⊱⋅ Daniel The Stable Boy ⋅⊰⊱≶•≷⊰ ⊱⋅ Ⓓon't you fret, my dear......Ⓘt'll all be over soon."From what I have read, the Ogre Wars was brutal.'"A magic bean? Daniel vaguely remembered Regina telling him about stories of the giants—but since neither one of them had seen them before, they believed they were just stories. Granted, they had stories about lands with no magic and look where that ended up to be. If Baelfire never heard of the Queen, then did he die as well before the Wedding? Did he run away somewhere that the Queen did not touch? Now it was Daniel who had the questions to ask. Belle, though, beat him to the punch of asking questions. Thinking deeply, though, Daniel listened on to Baelfire’s explanation and story. Daniel, himself, was a few years too young for the draft of the Ogre Wars; but even then he still helped out with the other farm hands and stable-folk to tend to the soldiers who were passing through Regina’s parents’ land. Furrowing his eyebrows together, he had heard of the Duke; but nothing about a dagger or anything to the sort. As the story unfolded, everything started to come together for Daniel and most likely for Belle as well. Looking over to the young woman—since she had more of a connection to the Dark One than he did—his nose twitched slightly out of nerves but did his best to keep them at bay. XX✭↝ locaтιon: Granny's Diner ✭↝ coмpany: Belle and Daniel ✭↝ мood: Angry and Frustrated Baelfire studied Belle as she thought. She seemed troubled by what he had told her. There was something that she knew that he didn't. It dawned on him then, Belle knew his father, possibly better then he did. It did not bother him that someone else knew his father well, but what bothered him was how his words seemed to almost hurt her in a way. Not that his existance hurt her, but almost like his father's past hurt her.
"Yes, I'm Rumpelstiltskin's son, but that doesn't mean any of this is my fault. I don't know what you mean by... Oh... I see. Well then," Bae stated, trailing of when he understood what Belle meant. It was his fault, but not in a direct way. His father created the curse as a way to find him. He left using the magic bean and the Blue Fairy had been correct when she had given him the bean. He was the only thing keeping his father from creating choas and pain throughout the Fairy Tale Land. His father had used his magic to scare everyone into submission. Belle had been hurt by his father, but he couldn't figure out how. She was important, and he wanted to know why.
"Maybe there is a way for me to fix this then. If he created this curse you keep talking about just to come here to find me. Well, maybe I should give him a little surprise of my own," he added with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Maybe there is a way for you to return home."

XX✭↝ locaтιon: Granny's Diner ✭↝ coмpany: Belle and Daniel ✭↝ мood: Angry and Frustrated Baelfire studied Belle as he watched her emotions surge. She was important, very important, to his father. She actually cared, maybe even loved. It was almost as if Belle loved the Dark One, something Bae hadn't ever thought would be possible. He did love his father, but he was also afraid and hurt. His father had broken his promise, and it cost Bae his family. Because of this Bae ended up in this world without anyone, he couldn't trust anyone easily.
"Angry isn't the right word for it, Belle. At least not what you mean by angry. I was left in this world, alone, because he broke his promises. And because of his broken promise other people got hurt. Because of something I did, you were hurt. I am not the only one here he has personally hurt through his actions. No one else deserves to be hurt by him," Bae responded just as harshly. "No, he is not a bad man. I know that, but I have seen the pain he has caused others. He will not make another deal with me, or if he does I have no reason to trust the deal. You trust him and care about him, Belle. I know that. I care about him as well, but sometimes that isn't enough to fix the pain that has been inflicted."
He wanted his father back, just like the way things had been before. That is all he wanted, but it was too late for that. He was hurting, especially after everything. His father had been here for years, for what? He couldn't understand why his father cared. A broken promise had cost him his ability to trust, and it had cost him his father. If things changed, if his father was a better man, well, things might end differently. It didn't help that Belle had been hurt, proving that his father hadn't changed.
He turned towards Daniel when he spoke. As soon as it was clear that Belle was in fact in love with his father did her anger towards him make sense. It also explained why Belle had been hurt by his father. "It brought me to this world, I was left in the woods on the other side of Boston. I don't understand its magic, but I do that it was supposed to bring me to a world without magic," he explained to Daniel.

Isabelle "Belle" French If either of you cared about me, you would have listened... Belle's eyes flickered to Daniel. She deeply wished he hadn't called her out as His 'love'. It was dangerous to be his flaw; his weakness. Baelfire's words rang hollow like the petulant ramblings of a child. 'Isabelle' broke free from her tenuous control.
"You know nothing. You still think like a child, as if the world was in black and white," the cold words were blurted out before she had a chance to draw them back in. "I can think of more than a few people that deserve a creative death that only he can fashion. You mourn your loss at such a young age, it is your right to do so. But I for one, am thankful he did not follow you. If he had, then we would have been slaughtered by the Ogres invading our kingdom. He saved us when none of 'brave' knights would lift a finger in aid. Where were the noble trust-worthy heroes then? Half the people in this town would be dead and forgotten if it weren't for him. It matters not if he doesn't love me. He is not obligated to feel anything, because in the end, he was there when we needed him. Trust him? No, I don't expect as much from my own father, it would be silly of me to expect that much from him."
It was strange putting her thoughts into words, because that was honestly how she felt. His emotions towards her were irrelevant. His actions were what was important.
...but you didn't, and now there's nothing left to say.

XX✭↝ locaтιon: Granny's Diner ✭↝ coмpany: Belle and Daniel ✭↝ мood: Guilty and Hurting Now he'd done it. He could almost see her seething with anger. It hadn't been his intent to anger her, but he'd done it. He had no idea what had happened in Fairy Tale Land after he had left. Apparently things had changed there, and it wasn't just because of the Dark One. He paled slightly learning that the ogres had invaded again. That Ogres had been subdued, unable to attack anyone last he knew. How much time had gone past since he had left and before they came here? It could have been a hundred years, or more... He was almost a part of ancient history back home... Which meant he had missed much. Much he could not have known about. He had always assumed time moved the same here as it did back home, but apparently he was wrong.
"The ogres attacked again? But, he stopped them before without anyone asking him to. And it was supposed to be for good. Or at least a long time..." Bae had been convinced the ogres had been subdued after the first war against them. "What happened since I left? How many years pasted?" he muttered quietly. He knew neither could answer these questions, but he couldn't help but say them aloud.
"I am sorry I offended you," he stated after a few moments of quiet. "I was wrong to believe that not much had happened since I left. I believed it had only been forty years, but from what you say, it has been much longer." He was sorry, especially since he was realizing that had he stated in Fairy Tale Land he would have been able to have a real family and maybe things would have been better. He felt guilt for running from what he was afraid of, even if at the time he had assumed it would help everyone. He was no less a coward then his father. Things would have gotten better, his father would have been able to control the darkness. The part that nagged at him the most was that Belle could have been happy with his father, if it weren't for him. And maybe then he might have actually had a mother who cared... But that would never happen now, even if the way Belle was scolding him reminded him of the way his wife used to scold Neil as a child.

Tristan Harker ~ HerculesTristan or Hercules as he apparently was; had since the lifting of the curse found himself at a crossroads. Many of the people in the town had reacted with anger, anger that Regina had taken their lives away from them and manipulated all of them to suit her own gain. Tristan however knew that there was probably nothing that could be done about it now, and that whether they liked it or not; they were stuck here in this town, in this world.
Was it too bad? Perhaps not, life here certainly was a lot more stable than it was in the old world, you could easily step out of your house without fear of being attacked by a band of Orcs, Trolls or a Dragon. They were indeed trapped here, but if you enjoyed the simple life you could come to love the town.
Tristan had liked his new life, at least that was what the curse had lead him to believe and he had managed to keep a hold on his original traits he had as Hercules, he was still strong, active and adventurous, he was a thrill seeker and had the get out and go attitude that allowed him to feel happy in his work.
Today was no different to any other day; he was at the Marina working on the boats he loved. It was a warm day, another reason why he enjoyed working down here so much, the water in the harbour caught the light of the sun just right and reflected up over the area. Probably explained why he was always so sun kissed, and why the only clothes he usually felt comfortable in whilst working were just a pair of shorts and a tank top, and trainers when he needed them.
Today he was working on tying up boats, boats that really had no owners, they were just part of the town, still he didn't want to see them rot and so he busied himself in keeping them running. He wasn't the only one, down there, he worked under the harbour master and other workers in the area. It seemed there was a good 25 miles of sea that they could sail out to before they breached the borders of the curse so fishing boats would be in and out every day.
The day kept him busy and active as always and he rarely ventured back into town until his work shift was over. Today however he needed a spare part for one of the boats and so excusing himself from the others he headed back into the centre of Storybrooke to seek out the part needed.

Isabelle "Belle" French If either of you cared about me, you would have listened... The dark fire left her blue eyes as 'Isabelle' retreated to the back of her mind once more. The anger faded leaving her heart cold and hollow. She shouldn't have lost her temper... not over mere words. It wasn't like her to snap or berate anyone. Belle had spent years being held prisoner Regina. She'd listened to the Queen's taunts and mocking words for three decades without once speaking out in anger. Yet, when it came to Rumpelstiltskin... well, perhaps he was her weakness as well.
"No, it's alright. I shouldn't have snapped," her gentle demeanor returned with those words, "it's only that... your father has seen so much sorrow in his life. He's been alone for hundreds of years and despite everything, he still loves you. He could have had anything in the world. He could have made a new life for himself but he didn't. He chose you. He always chose you."
He could have had love... but he chose you.
Now more than ever, she needed to see Rumpelstiltskin. Belle needed to tell him that she finally understood. She now knew he hadn't chosen magic for the sake of magic... he'd chosen Baelfire.
"You can't hate him. I know it is too much to ask. I know what it feels like to have your father disappoint you and how hard it is to forgive... You've a right to be angry and disillusioned, but you mustn't hate him. He loves you too much for you to hate him."
...but you didn't, and now there's nothing left to say.

It would have made much more sense to him, most likely, if had any kind of connection or resemblance of a connection something so deep like a father or a love. Sure, there was Regina and he was a good reason as to why she wanted to have the curse in the first place--but there was more of a binding for a love for a child than a lost love. Still, he kept his silence like any spectator would; listening to the words of anger. These words, though, did not come from someone to spite anyone--but more from someone who had too much silence and pent up anger within. That part, he knew just as much as Belle did...just dead instead of living.
Daniel was not feeling left out from the group--no. His part was two-fold; both passed and have yet come into the play. Feeling like a need to become the--what are those things to be a neutral middle person...oh! "I am going to step in as the meteor here now. How about, for now, we place all of this on hold and get that ice cream milk shake thing you were talking about earlier, Belle?" Well, he tried. Ⓘ'll be waiting here......Ⓕor you. XX✭↝ locaтιon: Granny's Diner ✭↝ coмpany: Belle and Daniel ✭↝ мood: Guilty and Hurting Bae took a deep breath and relaxed just a little bit. Arguing about this was not worth it. He had spent years just hoping things could go back to the way things had been before he left. Sometimes he regreted leaving, but he knew he wouldn't have his family if he hadn't come here. Things would have been very different if he hadn't come here.
"Hundreds of years?" he asked, trying not to let his guilt or regret show too much. That was a long time to be alone. He had Bae shook his head slightly, unsure about how to feel at the moment. His father had been trying for years to find a way to travel here. He figured that was what Belle had meant before when she stated he was the reason they were here in Storybrooke. Belle gave him some sort of hope when she stated his father always chose him. It also was what had hurt her. His father had chosen his son over Belle.
"Hate is a strong word, Belle. I have never felt hatred towards him. I am angry, but also hurt. I still care, and as you tell me more the more I am realizing that," he stated before glancing at the table and running a hand through his hair. "I will leave you to your ice cream milkshake, if you wish," he added as he glanced at Daniel, who seemed keen on defusing the situation.

Tristan Harker ~ HerculesTristan had to go to at least three places in order to gather the things that he needed, and piled them up in the back of his truck. The day was growing late and he would likely be pulling a late one down at the marina in order to get things finished. He didn't like doing just half a job, it was only more work to come back to the next day.
Some might question why he hadn't given up this fake life and set out on a quest to get the old one back, but as Charming had said and very truly put it, these new people that they had become were a part of them now, he was as much Tristan as he was Hercules, the two lives had met in the middle and created the person he was today. He admitted that he would never be the same person he was in either life, but what he did know was that he was happy with what he had.
He was about to head out back to the Marina when he remembered something he aught not to put off. Granny had asked him the other day to take a look at one of her fridges, it was on the blink and Tristan had agreed to try and fix it. He had time, seeing as he was going to run over into overtime anyway and so turned off his engine and left his truck to enter Granny's.
He looked about at the busy place to see that Bael, Daniel and Belle were all seated together on one table, they seemed to be deep in conversation, something that he knew to keep well out of and went to the counter. Granny was having an argument with the coffee machine and he coughed to get her attention. Spinning around she looked quite flustered until she saw that it was him.
"Oh it's you." she said with a smile, if she could ever muster one. "You're not here for coffee are ya?" she asked as she looked back at the coffee machine.
"Erm, no, I came to take a look at that fridge you said you were having problems with." he said and she let out a sigh of relief.
"Yes, please come in, take a look and for gods sake don't leave till it's fixed." she declared and Tristan half smiled before coming behind the counter to take a look. He often wondered if there was more that he could do to help, everyone in Storybrooke seemed to be going through one Earth shattering experience or other, intertwining themselves with each other problems, whilst Tristan didn't seem to have any. He glanced over now and then at the three sat at the table, feeling a little guilty that he wasn't the type of the guy that could easily come in and solve peoples problems...he wasn't really one for human emotion...now if they had a washing machine that needed fixing, well he was their guy...

The man was not a big fan of confrontation--granted, he was a big reason as to why Regina had one with her mother, but that is a different story unto itself. Shaking his head vigorously like a child would, he did give a look of an apology. "Nono. Please. It's nice to have someone else just as confused or if not more than I am about this place. Plus. Wallowing alone in confusion, frustration and possible sorrow is never a good combination. At least I had horses or the pigs to talk about all of that; but I think the diner is lacking in livestock." Most likely--once again--lost unto anyone outside the man's brain; but in a way doing all of it alone in a new town may not be the best idea.
Scooting out from the seat of the booth, he went over to the counter, giving a small nod and a smile to the man who went back into the backroom and waited patiently until he got Granny's attention. "Is there a way we can get three milkshakes?" "Sure, Darlin'. Which flavors?" The plural word brought confusion and amazement to Daniel's face. "There is more than one?" Granny could not help but let out a small laugh at that. "Well, of course. Have you been living in the mines all these years?" Daniel furrowed his eyebrows a bit, wavering his head back and forth; trying to figure out whether to tell her or not of the truth. Instead, she gave him the choice of not answering as she left to go and make the milkshakes. In the meantime, Daniel figured it would give the two back at the booth a little bit more time to either reconcile or spit verbal fire at each other. Ⓘ'll be waiting here......Ⓕor you.
