blaugh my brother in law got to see em in concert, and he got to meet peter steele! shook his hand and then i swear on the book of all that is holy and good in the world that he was never going to wash it again!

When I went to see THE MUSIC last year, I bumped into three of the four members about 50m from the venue. The lead singer, Rob Harvey, made a sign of approval at my "The Music" shirt bought from Australia's greatest music festival BIG DAY OUT. At first I just thought they were fans of the band, until I had taken about 10 steps from them and remembered what his hair looked like, long curly red hair. I almost shat my pants then and there. The mate who was with me was fraked out that I had suddenly ran back and started talking to this random group of guys. I shook Rob's, the drummer's (Phil Jordan) and the bassist's (Stuart Coleman) hands. I told them out of all the acts I saw at BDO, they were the best. And that they should head line it sometime soon. If you have not heard them- rush out and get their two albums- The Music and Welcome To The North.

Gary Jules - Mad World.
Now on Mad World. Most people should now that it was not originally sung by Gary Jules, instead the rights to the song were bought so that Gary could sing it. I have listend to both version and Gary's is far greater. The words seem to have more meaning is his slower version.

This song can be found on their most recent live album- Live From London or something like that. The reasons why it can not be found on any of there albums is a mystery to me, one of the die hardiest QOSTA fans. Yet I do know that it was originally played at their legendary tours entitled "The Dessert Sessions." From the Dessert Sessions, somewhere between 2000 and 2003 (the year they were at BDO), the lead singer Josh Hommes wrote and released a song with then ******** bubby P J Harvey. I believe that P J owns the rights to the somg because she is sighted to have played a heavily editted version of the song at one of her 2004 concerts.
