The White Tower? Huh. Haven't heard of it. But yes I did a lot of self study with magic when I was younger." She smiled as she remembered all the fun she had when doing self study. Being in the huge library, silence, calmness, and peace. She could live in that old library....ѣϵcσϻҽ ӎҷ ɼϵȁɬɨȶҹʡ♣

 Kuro sighed, "Yes, I get that answer alot. It's not a well known place; though it's very well equipped. You can learn alot from books, though it's more effective when you experiment yourself, other than relying on formerly written works as well as...oh sorry, you were resting, weren't you? My apologies. If you wish, I can return to my room for now and we can continue in the morning. I'm sure your legs must be getting numb by now."

Kuro smiled at the elf's response, "Very well, though I do feel like we should sit if we're to have a lengthened conversation. If you like, we can go to my room and I shall summon up a couple of chairs for us to relax in." The mage suggested with no ill intent - which was evident when seen within his gaze.

Kuro chuckled, "My sister said the exact same thing when I offered to lead her to the Laven Fields, though probably thinking something different from what you are." He turned on his heel and walked towards his room, holding the door open as he waited for Skylar to enter.

Kuro smiled, "I see. Well then, I'll make sure to double check my lock before I go to sleep." That was the mage's attempt at a joke. He closed the door as Skylar entered, making sure that it clicked, for it annoyed him when it wasn't completely closed. He sliced his right index and middle fingers through the air, the runes carved all around the room beginning to glow as two chairs with a small coffee table between them formed within the room. "Please. Sit."

Turns out Alek drew on my face in the night. That's why I lock my room every night now." Skylar sat down in one of the chairs, sitting up tall with her legs crossed....ѣϵcσϻҽ ӎҷ ɼϵȁɬɨȶҹʡ♣

Kuro nodded, "Of course. I also find that you can get better results when you have someone more intuned with magic to help you." Instead of backtracking, the mage picked up exactly from where he had left off. He's not too good with the modern world, if you haven't noticed.

I had two parents who were elves, and it so helped me that I had magic that ran in my family. But they often were gone, so that's why had to resort to the library. None of my kinsmen wanted to help me learn magic, and to this day I still don't know why they didn't want to help me." Skylar frowned as she noticed she had had a rather lonely childhood, up until she went to the orphanage....ѣϵcσϻҽ ӎҷ ɼϵȁɬɨȶҹʡ♣

Kuro noticed the flux within her energy and guessed that she was sad. Not too familiar with customs when it came to cheering someone up, the mage gently pet Skylar's head, hoping that she didn't get angry over this. I do seem to make oh so many a mistake these days.

She got up and hugged Kuro, showing him how to comfort someone, and also letting him know it was alright to hug her. She cried softly into his shoulder, missing her parents, her elders, her friends, her home. She usually wasn't like this, she usually kept these feelings to herself, and burying them when they came up. But she felt as though she could trust Kuro with this. Skylar didn't know how much she had been longing for some comfort....ѣϵcσϻҽ ӎҷ ɼϵȁɬɨȶҹʡ♣
