"Even with your bow raised I didn't find you as a threat. I saw you as someone trying to stay alive. I saw clever, alert, open minded and careful. Now, about that wall out were talkie about. That is kind of a wall. its mostly to make people that want to hurt Mad back off." He laughed a little. "I have seen guys who were so ready for a fight till they see me and when they did they running off." he laughed a bit more. "I love some of the memories that I have."

Seremela frowned.
"That's not a good memory. I actually would have been ashamed if that happened to me."
Mel sighed and leaned back against her chair.
"Do you feel pride when that memory pops up?"

Ace looked at her and sighed. "Yes, actually. I like it when I have control of a situation. I like being able to chase someone off with just a look. It's better than with a sword, isn't it? I have done a lot of regrettable things in my time, but that was not one of them. You have a right to know that I have killed many people, Mel. Majority of them innocent. I wish that i hadn't and i with that i could choose to take it all bad, but what's done is done." He looked at his now empty plate and that sad wall was up again. His eyes showed much pain, but her kept his expression hard.

Seremela sighed sadly. She looked down at the ground and stood up. She didn't bother to eat.
"If you take pride in anything like that, Ace. That's still not good at all. That isn't something to remember and smile about. For me, it isn't, so it's only an opinion. I can't be on a date with a guy who smiles at the fact that with just a simple look, it could scare someone."
Mel picked up her quiver and hid her bow. She then left, now seeming even more sad than ever. Mel sighed, most likely going to regret doing this later, but her past kept popping up and she thought that Ace was different than most. That he just put up an act to make people not bother him, like Mel did when she was younger.
"As easy as can be, find a stick that's semi straight and find a sharp rock, never be late. Sharpen the rock to a point, then attach it to the joint. You can balance it out you see, 'cause it's easy as can be."
She kept saying to herself quietly as she walked back home.
