Korva cooked the meat slowly, knowing that to cook well and to make it as good as it should be, he needed to cook it properly. As he seasoned it and turned it, the meat began to smell even better and better, the delicious aroma filling the clearing.

She can't remember the last time she ate something that looked so good. She sat there watching it almost drooling at the sigh. She couldn't take it any longer. "It's almost done." Korva said, continuing to turn the meat as he closed the pouch of seasonings and tucked it away. He turned the meat for a few moments longer, then pulled out his dagger once more and sliced a piece of the meat off, handing it to Rose. "It's hot." He said calmly.

Carefully holding it she sat there blowing on it in hopes that it would cool down faster. After awhile she attempted to touch it lightly with her tongue before hissing since it was still hot. Korva pulled the spit to one side to let the meat cool as he cut a piece off for himself and set it on a stone while he worked on slicing up the rest of the deer, stripping it expertly of any meat he could, and laying it out on the stones, he salted the meat lightly then took up his own piece and began to eat, the rest would become jerky for travel.

She practically yelled out with her mouth full. Rose also noticed that he was salting the other pieces of meat as she was stuffing her face. She seemed like a pig but she couldn't care less. Korva shrugged, "When you travel as much as I do you have to learn how to cook well." He said simply, finishing off his own meal and pulling out a waterskin, taking a drink and passing it to Rose.

"I wasn't there for cooking so I didn't get to check out the meals." She looked at him before thinking for a little bit. Asking him she said, "When was the last time you actually sat down for awhile? "Three weeks. I go where the work is, if there's multiple jobs in one place, I stay." Korva said simply, shrugging as he leaned back slightly, looking up at the sky, judging the time.

It was crazy fast and it meant you were basically always on the move. She wondered what that type of life was like. She looked at him as he leaned back and decided that he had the right idea. She made sure that her wings disappeared as she lay back and looked up at the sky also. "Doesn't that get annoying? Living a life always on the move?" "No. It keeps me one step ahead of anyone who would try to come after me, and it makes sure I always have work, and therefore I always get to hunt." Korva said calmly, he stoked the fire one last time then lay down calmly, folding his arms over his chest. "Now get to sleep. We have more walking to do tomorrow." He said, closing his eyes.

She walked over to him when he lay down and took one of the arms that were folded on his chest and laid it down straight so that it was at a 90 degree angle with him. She lay down beside him, turning away from him and resting her head on his arm and using it as a pillow. A smile was on her face even though he didn't see."Much better." Korva growled softly but didn't move much, just shifting a bit and going to sleep, eyes closed. Like that, he looked almost nice, with his eyes closed and no snarl on his face. In fact he might even be handsome.

The way he was all untouchy and anti cuddly was just amusing. The night passed quickly, and the sun rose. Korva awoke first, disentangling himself from Rose with a frown, before moving to clean up the camp, putting out the rest of the fire, and then packing up the salted meat from the deer.
