Is the pool 'heated'? Or only by the sun? When we had a big 15' pool in the yard of our old house, even when we'd let it warm up in the sun, it was still pretty cool, but we got used to it, especially when it was dreadfully hot outside! It will be nice to have something like that come July! (here and in NV!)
And remember how I suggested going outside and gardening and getting fresh air and hopefully feeling better inside? Well, it's planting season, and I could very well do that myself, but I don't, or won't. I should, but.. I don't know, I must be lacking motivation too.

I actually have not even been in the back yard in a while, although we had a crew in there Friday and Saturday to do weeding and trim all the (20-ish?) trees,.... so I am running out of excuses rofl

Not sure why I wanted these in seperate posts, except to keep from having them run together, but I opened this months shipment from NutriSystem this morning and found a surprise in the box! Since I record my weight on their web site as it updates, they also have a record of the 23 pounds so I had "Pound the10 lb Bear" (red) and "Commitment the 20 lb Bear" (purkle!) waiting in the box for me! They are the same size as a Beanie Baby, which is fine with me, as I still have a soft spot in my heart for Beanie Baby Bears rofl Since I am on my laptop it was easier to 'borrow' images from eBay, and unfortunately the purkle looks blue, but you can still get the idea:

This is the second Saturday my weight stayed the same. I thnk I am officially plateauing, mostly because until it is a tad warmer I cannot swim so my opprotunity for excercise is a bit limited. Still glad not to gain mrgreen

don't dispair now that you've reached this stage, i've heard a lot of people can sit on their plateau for a long time, but as you say, not gaining is what really matters 3nodding

Well, Lizzy has been MIA online much in the last few weeks, and even cancelled a standing get together with her sister and I for Monday night. Then Monday evening her husband had to call the EMTs and have them take her to the hospital for emergency medical attention. Her sister and daughter said she is back home and resting. I guess she has been finally feeling better and has adjustments to her medications and stuff. i am keeping my fingers crossed that s means she will be back full steam soon, cause I run out of people to pester since she is the person who interested me in Gaia in the first place and took me under her motherly Gaian wing

I am on Gaia for the first time in a little while, and feeling alot better. I have been taking my new prescriptions for over a week now, and sleeping alot (story of my life) as it seems the whole incident was pretty draining. Not going to check my weight again for a week or so, as I was not being to strict with my diet while I was recuperating and also they had me taking a steroid which was not making sticking to the diet easy rolleyes Anywhooo, feeling much better the last few days, so figured my online life deserved some attention mrgreen

*hugs Lizzy!!* I was worried about you and PM'd Mac to ask how you were. What exactly happened that sent you to the ER, if it's not too personal? I'm glad you're on the mend! Sleeping a lot can be good for you.

I don't mind talking about the ER trip. I have asthma and had run out of my medicine a few weeks back... went to the pharmacy and found out I had already had my last inhaler prescription the month before (but the sticker was on a box that got thrown out) well, later that evening in an attempt to be a good dieter, I had decided to take a walk around my block... about half way around th block my throat burned and I was really thirsty... then I started feeling terrible... stopping every few yards to try and get enough oxygen... by the time I made it back home I could not even speak to wake up Jim, so I had to throw my house keys at the bedroom door... he got up, saw I was struggling for air and called the paramedics, and when they checked me, my oxygen was down to 69%. It was pretty scary and horrible, but I have the medicine I need now, have been napping alot and trying not to push it. (my asthma is so bad, I get really winded just trying to clean, cause dust and pollen are a couple of the villians) and therefore I am still stuck in a vicious cycle of not enough activity to promote weight loss, and too much weight *can* (and has for me) contributed to my asthma episode frequency.

Oh no, what a horrible experience! And scary! I'm glad you're ok though and on the mend. I can see what you mean about a vicious cycle though, one thing contributing to the other, and vice versa. Perhaps if the meds are working right you can do a bit more and slowly climb out of the cycle. *hugs*
