"Well thanks for telling me and how far away is that combat room anyway?
Sam looked at her and thought he saw a trace of a smile flicker across her face for a second but he just shrugged it off. "So how usual is it to get a new student here?"

Kate shrugged as they reached the staircase. "It's a couple of minutes, if you walk fast. We have to go through the classroom corridor yet, and that'll be really busy..." she frowned at the thought of it; normally she got there a few minutes early to avoid the crush of everybody going to class of getting out of class at the same time.
"It's pretty normal. We get one maybe once a month, I think. I don't know, I don't normally greet them."

"Well this must be a treat for you, getting to walk a new student to class."
Sam grinned at her seeing what her reaction would be to that and all the while listening for the noise the other student's would make as they crossed the halls. "If the hall gets busy couldn't some of the students teleport to their next class?"

Kate snuck a glance at him, and, seeing his grin, snorted. "Yep, this is super fun!" she said, her words thick with sarcasm. It wasn't that he'd given her any particular reason to dislike him - other than phasing through him, which she'd never forgive him for - but rather the fact that he was now mocking her.
"Well yeah, the people that can teleport do teleport. But, see, not everybody can, and it's a pretty big school." She shook her head patronisingly, and turned back away.
Then, as if on some silent signal, a couple of hundred students appeared all at once; some from upstairs, some from the dining hall, and some from outside, but all heading for the classroom corridor.
Over the general clamour, you could just about hear Kate saying "Great. Just great."

"Well can't say you didn't warn me at least but I was thinking you were exaggerating, this is a little insane." Sam looked around him noticing all the student's students pass them as a kid walked bye by and he was pushed. "Would it be ok if I phase through everyone?" Sam looked at Kate with a hopefull hopeful look.

Kate shrugged and said, loudly "Sure, if you know where you're going. Which I'm guessing you don't."
She sighed, clicking her fingers at her side, trying to generate a spark with which to create a forcefield.
"Fine, turn left as you enter that corridor" she said, pointing, "and then on your right there's another, smaller corridor. I'll meet you there."
Without another word, she formed a shield around herself - it looked like a mesh of sparks covering her body, repelling everything a few inches - and slipped off into the crowd.
There were some faint buzzing sounds and cries of "ouch", followed by apologies, as she made her way through the mass of students.

Sam concentrated on phaisng and ran head on into the crowd and at first it looked like a collision course intill he went through every student he came in contact with. "See you there." Sam rushed ahead of Kate still hearing student's students cry out as she shocked them accidentally,and a few people wondering what happened as Sam passed through them and a feeling of cold spread through their body.

Kate shook herself as she stepped out into the gym corridor, removing the forcefield.
"The magnetic field shocks them if they manage to get past the forcefield." she explained. "How many people did you annoy, then? I'll bet they didn't enjoy being phased through; it's not exactly pleasant."
She rolled her eyes, then pushed open the double doors leading to the gym. People were congregating at the far end, but she kept walking, over to another door. Then she stopped, and began to read a note on the door.
"Combat is cancelled due to the delayed departure of Ms Natami's flight. Lessons will resume next week."

"I think they'll get over it." Sam looked at her and noticed she was reading a note so he read it over her shoulder and found out combat class was cancelled. "That sucks and we went through a crowd to get here too." Sam said this with a smile trying to not show how dissapointed he was with what happened, "So do I just wait for my next class then?"

Kate shrugged. "I guess. I'm gonna go get something to eat, anyway."
Instead of turning and going back the way they came, which was still teeming with students, she opened the door to Combat and went through.
Now I've got the time to take the scenic route. she thought, Plus, it's a lot quieter.

Sam was about to leave as he remembered he was walked guided/shown the way here there and he had no idea how to get back. "Wait up I'm coming." Sam turned around and phased through the dorr door slowly as not to run into her again and get shocked again.
(God dam it)

She sighed as she made her way across the hall, which was shrouded in darkness, her hand aglow with sparks to help her see.

"Fine then act like that." Sam turned back around and phased through the door and took the two hallways he took earlier and just walked down the hall looking for familliar locations to help him get back to his room and away from Kate and if he had to choose one of the two he'd choose the second.

Oh crap, now Ria's gonna be all mad.
She turned to follow him, and found him in the now-clear classroom corridor.
