~Extended Information~
Personality
Erustis is an introverted, perverse individual who prefers the quite of solitude to the bustle of companionship. Truth be told, she is the type of person that works best alone. Even though she may be polite if the mood takes her, she normally prefers to remain silent when in the company of others. In fact, she would much rather forget that they exsist. Should she be forced in to socializing, Erustis has been known to use a variety of tactics to drive people away. One of her favorite methods is to whip out a copy of Come, Come, Paradise, when in polite company and to start reading some of the more graphic portions aloud.
Despite her blatant antisocial behavior towards others, Erustis is unswervingly loyal to the small group of individuals she claims as family. To be considered family is one of the highest praises Erustis can give, which makes it unsurprising that she has so few family members. All in all, Erustis behaves rather a lot like a member of the mafia.

Physical Appearance
Mortal form
If someone were to ask her what her favorite color was it is safe to say that she would choose black, that is if she paid any attention to you at all. Perpetually garbed in loose concealing clothing, it is extrordinarily difficult to determine her actual physical form. Typically, the only visible parts of her body are her hands and feet. The actual appearance of her visible extremities depends on her mood. More often than not she will be sporting a wolfish tail and paws when out in public.
Underneath it all, Erustis appears as a pale young woman in her twenties with silvery shoulder-length hair and luminescent amber eyes. Standing roughly 5'6" when fully in Mortal form, she appears to be entirely human. There are, however, some discrepencies. Certain aspects of her True form carry over into her Mortal one. She is unable to hide her unusual eyes and her ears will always have an elfin point. In addition, her teeth and nails are also pointed, but these aspects are less noticable and easier to hide.
True form
Erustis' True form differs greatly from her Mortal one. Standing an impressive 6'7" when fully erect, Erustis' true form is that of a classic European werewolf. While she is unable to take the full form of a wolf due to her bloodline, her anthropomorphic form allows her the advanced manual dexterity of her Mortal form while in wolfen state. Specifically, she is able to maintain the use of her human hands, which consequentially resulted in her retaining her Mortal form's biped gait and stance. In all other regards she appears as a North American Timber wolf, with the additional element of a mane that runs the course of her scalp and neck.
Erustis' coloration is a almost a complete reverse of her Mortal form. While in True form Erustis' coat takes on a dark charcoal grey. However, just like her Mortal form, there are some characteristics that are present in both forms. The most prominent of these, aside from her humanoid claws, is the silver that colors her mane and markings. There is also the continuation of her luminescent amber eyes, which are perhaps the stablest feature of her physical form.

Physiology
Taken from Erustis' own observations.
...the Ookami Youkai bloodline is not so much a hereditary trait but rather a poorly transmittable virus. The Ookami Youkai virus, a member of the Lupin virus family responsible for lycanthropy, is a bloodborn lysogenic virus. The Ookamai Youkai virus strain appears to have originated from the Common Western Lycanthrope virus...it appears that the CWL virus merged with a second virus, possibly the Eastern European Strigoi virus... As is common in a case of viral lycanthropy, the host often becomes infected after becoming bitten by a virulent carrier...
Once the virus has infected a host cell it merges its own DNA with the host's, changing the the host cell permentantly...the host undergoes three stages after the initial infection. The first stage consists of a massive primary immune response that lasts roughly one week. The host suffers dangerously uncontrollable fevers and chills within the first 48 hours of infection...it seems the host usually dies from the severity of the immune response unless outside intervention and hospitalization occurs. If the host is able to survive the first stage of infection they will be able to reap the benifits of accelerated healing, which are necessary for the completion of the second and third phases.
The second phase of infection is characterized by extreme physical changes in the host. The host's body will reversibly change from its human form to, what will become, the host's True form...the change appears to be triggered by the absence of sunlight rather than the presence of a full moon, which is the classic transformational trigger of most lycanthropes. In addition to the nightly changes, the host will have no cognative control over their actions while in True form. This changes over time as the virus completes its infection and mutation of the host...the host will regain increasing lucidness while in True form...
The third and final stage of infection is denoted by the host's complete control over their actions in what is now their Mortal and True forms. The host's Mortal and True forms will share distict permanent characteristics, such as claws and fangs in Mortal form and opposable thumbs in True form...the host will also be able to control the degree to which certain physical aspects of each form can be expressed...when the host has total control over their form they are able to manifest traits such as a tail or wolfen ears while in Mortal form...It is also at this stage that the host's aging comes to a crawl allowing the creature to live for up to a millennia if not more...
