"Don't worry, Yunnie, darling," said Rikku happily, "I will so be ready. I'm with you all the way."

Rikku curled up in the chair next to Yuna's bed, grapping a couple of balnkets and an extra pillow for herself.

"Night, Yunnie," said Rikku with a yawn.

"Nah, I'm good Yunnie," said Rikku, closing her eyes, "You just get some sleep, mkay?"

It didn't take long before the young thief joined her friend in the peaceful land of dreams. Rikku curled up in her chair besides Yuna and wrapped her blankets tighter around her as she let sleep claim her.

The great red airship roared as it drew near to the ground. Upon landing its boarding ramp lowered, touching down on the grassy plains near the village of Wutai. A slim figure emerged.....decked out in dark brown trousers and a blue shirt with ridges on the shoulderblades.....appearing to be years old with visual miliage. Draped over his shoulder, a black assault rifle...fully automatic, and an assortment of grenades resting in a pack on his hip. He turns just before touching ground.

"The area is secure, we'll wait for your contact. We're proceeding to the rendevous point...God Speed, Mr. President" , announced a darkskinned figure in noble robes.

"Kiros how many times have I told you about that "Mr. President" trash?? We've been through so much together....the least you can do is address me as a friend rather than a superior" , said The Man With the Machine Gun.

"Sorry Laguna....but you know I take my job very seriously."

"Well...anyways, Odine had better be right about all of this. This entire place is one big jigsaw puzzle to me....and you know I've never been any good at puzzles" , spoke Laguna.

Kiros laughed a bit, "Please Laguna, we don't have much time.....we'll meet you at the rendevous point in.............Midgar."

"Midgar....see I don't even like the sound of that place.....and anyway, how'm I even supposed to recognize this...........Yuffie.....when I see him?"

"Well.....he's a highly skilled theif and ninja according to Edea's dream. Maybe he'll find you."

"That isn't very reassuring.....anyways, on the bright side I get to use the ol' gun again." He steps onto the ground and begins strolling. "Leave that clumsy gunblade to my idiot...." His foot snags a rock sticking out of the ground and he trips, the gun flies foreward and hits the ground, bouncing and emptying the entire clip in all directions. Laguna places his hands over his head and cringes as Kiros and another exceptionally large gentleman hit the ground and do the same.

When the smoke clears, Laguna stands and replaces the clip....flicking a little button on the gun, he turns back to the Ragnarok. Rubbing the back of his neck.

"I uhhh.....forgot to put the safetly on....heh heh"

" JUST GET ON WITH THE MISSION!!!!", shouted Kiros.

Laguna nodded sheepishly and looked to the other one. "You alright Ward?" Ward just simply shook his head with a ticked off expression on his face.

"Err...right....find this Yuffie guy.....rendevous in Midgar, got it"

The boarding ramp retracted and with a roar the Ragnarok bolted from the scene....leaving Laguna to traverse a place he had never even known existed.....this was going to be rough...he just knew it.

Darkness......infinite darkness. Then suddenly, a gentle blur....the feeling of life stirring in the numb void, slowly the light began to take shape....as he opened his eyes he felt something he had not felt in a long time. True life.....Seymour Guado sat up on the sandy beach, somehow still clad in his hierarchy Yevon robes.....his staff only feet from him, sticking in the sand. As he gazed out to the sea....he suddenly flashed back to a dream he had had during his long sleep. A woman.....beautiful and yet menacing at the same time. She had spoke to him of his childhood....his plight to control the universe.....and his fall into oblivion.....with her help she said, he would indeed be the master of all existance.....and as an added benefit...be able to exact vengence on Summoner Yuna and her guardians. But who was this alluring and fearsome beauty? Then suddenly the name appeared in his head.....as if spoken not into his ear...but directly into his mind.

"Jenova..." , he whispered with revered admiration. Gathering himself he stood and collected his staff, gazing out into the ocean. He nodded to the waves before turning around to start his journey.....and then he saw it, in the distance. A sight unlike any he had ever seen....dark clouds, hovered eternally over it....a giant structure in the center....and a huge disc seemingly hovered over the ground..............and machina.....hordes of forbidden machina. This indeed must be why he was called back to the living world, to punish the infidels and thier foolish ways.....he started towards the great City on a Plate with purpose.

Yuna's eyes opened to be greated with the morning sun and with Rikku's silouette between herself and the window.
"Morning..." the summoner replied, sitting up.
At the moment, Yuna could hardly decide if her dream had been a bad one, or a good one...
"We'll have to leave soon." she said, looking out the window.

Green eyes blazed, a fire burning within them.
"The village is destroyed..." he whispered, a smile finding its way to his usually grim visage. "I have brought you what you seek... I have brought you the power of their lives, energy that would have gone to Gaia... but instead... has come to you."
Sephiroth knelt before what could only be described as an alter, in his hands was a crystaline container. He placed it upon the alter before that which he served.
That which he continued to serve, and would always serve, even if Meteor has been destroyed and his plans thwarted.
His Mako eyes sparkled as he beheld the head of Jenova. "Your power will be revived."

Yuna smiled as she stood, banishing all thoughts of the dream, "Right!" she spoke with a laugh. "I had out luggage already taken to the ship yesterday. If we hurry, we should make it in time."
