Nah, not the way I equip. If I do that, then I tend to just barely kill them...
Not everyone goes for pure defense, after all. I tend to go for Power and Resistance instead, since physical attacks aren't really that dangerous compared to elemental ones.

Depends. If my party is low level, i summon rush. If my party is high level, theres no point.
At Level 100 against the Doom Dragon:
-Judgement deals around 500-600 damage per turn -Sol Blade Release deals over 1000 damage per turn
Also, at Level 100, Megiddo occurs pretty much every turn.
So all in all, if i'm higher levelled, its easier for me to 12-15 turn Sol Blade release kill the Doom Dragon then 96 turn Judgement Rush the Doom Dragon.
(All stats above are based on Felix solo fighting the Doom Dragon)

I don't like mixing Djinn because that takes the individuality of the characters away. You can pretty much turn any one of them into super fighting machines as long as their Djinn don't drain, and if they are, your battle strategy is completely altered. That got so annoying to me after a while. o.x
I don't summon rush cos it's lazy. I want a challenge! RPGs are too easy for me, so I want to try to build my way up to a summon. If Djinn Storm gets me, I wanna be able to fight my way up to recover from it. The thrill comes from trying not to die afterward. I love it. =D

if you have the Djinn set that summon Daedalus however you spell it then use that more often since the big missile comes 3 turns after the summon was activated.

exp. 99 i summon rushed the dullahan, once. then I came back later having not saved and kicked the crap out of him the old fashioned way, just for the bragging rights. its just too cheap a tactic for my sense of gamer's honor to let slide. Exactly! Someone who understands! I commend you for going through it the long way. And I'm impressed as well. It took me days to beat him the long way... before I found out that his attack plan is the same always, and used it against him.

Azura Cantarella I only summon-rushed when I was going through Crossbone Isle for like the third to fifth time.
Anyway, summon-rushing against Dullahan is an AWFUL strategy. gonk You begin the battle with dramatically lowered stats, so it's most likely Dully will get the first hit on you. I tried that, and it was NOT fun. gonk gonk i agree, unless u r EXTREAMLY LUCKY, he will own anyone that summon rushes him

Summon rushing is a lot easier when your using the book that gives you the Dark Mage class, since it ALWAYS has Revive.

actually, summons do damage related to the enemies total hp and your strength in that element so the damage you do is different from creature to creature. and i despise summon rushing! theres no honor in it!

cool girl sadet rundas93 actually, summons do damage related to the enemies total hp and your strength in that element so the damage you do is different from creature to creature. and i despise summon rushing! theres no honor in it! I think he's right cause when Jenna uses metteor its stronger then when Sheba uses that sommon. And it also explains why summons do so much more damage to bosses who are loaded with HP.
I summon rushed Dullahan the first time I beat him, but mostly because I kept losing and didn't know any better back then. I haven't done it since, but I don't think it's wrong. It's a viable strategy with its advantages and disadvantages; a high risk, high reward maneuver.

I barely ever use summons. Seriously. Maybe one or two if I'm facing a particularly annoying boss.
