On her first day her best friends, Riku and Kashi Uzumaki, (Twins) snuck off during recess into the Konoha forest. There, they were attacked by a sound ninja. Riku was knocked out and her and Kashi were cornered. At that moment, a rush of courage ran through them and they both activated their Byakugan at that moment. They left the battle badly injured but very much alive. from that day on, she had pledged to be a better teammate to both of them and carry her own weight.
