Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 "I'll keep that in mind." she replied easily, giving D'kay an innocent smile. There was a dangerous undercurrent to the smile, hidden better in the garden. In the back of her mind there was still a nagging urge to stick out her tongue at D'kay but she resisted for the moment. ((XD))

D'kay sticks her fingers in her mouth and started making funny,
akward, and weird faces. Since she had a mind of a child there
wasn't much she could do besides piss people off.

Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka slapped a hand over her mouth, struggling to suppress her laughter. When it became too much she started giggling uncontrollably, clutching at her sides. While D'kay's intent may have been to make her mad she found the sight to be comical.

D'kay stood up and used a garganta to open a gateway to
the wastelands of hueco mundo. She tempted someone to follow
her so she could engage in some kind of combat.

Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka stopped laughing as the garganta opened, her face suddenly serious. She glared at D'kay, saying nothing. As much as she wanted to follow, she knew that by herself she'd be an easy target. Suzaku hummed softly at her side in an attempt to soothe her.

Leon did not speak to D'Kay when she appeared, still very annoyed by her behavior. His anoiyance became more apparent as she poked him, then left. He looked over at Ruka. "You see what I have to put up with." He sighed. "I must ask, is there someone that anoying amongst your ranks as well?"

Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka laughed at his irritation before sighing at the question. A small, uncertain smile came to her face "Theres...someone like that. But no matter how much they bug me I want them to be safe." she nodded and closed her eyes "I don't really mind as long as they're safe."
"Don't die."
She opened her eyes and smiled, forcing away the pain of the voice.

"Hmph," he grunted, unsure of why she would care for such an annoying person. Perhaps he has felt too much ridicule and pain from the others to know such a thing...save for his commander. "I shall not bother you for now, shinigami....Senorita Kusabana," he stated, correcting himself. "You have my respect for being calm and collected towards my kind. But know when we meet again...I will not be so passive." He looked around the garden again, taking in the fragrance. "I remember these smells from a long time ago...I envy this world...and how we can never be part of it... Adios." With that he sonidoed away, returning to that human's how to be sure that Blut does not try and take back this prize.

Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka nodded as he disappeared "As much as I wish that this war was over, I wouldn't have it any other way." Her smile was grim and dark before she sighed and let it go. She got up and walked over to the cherry blossom tree again, sitting down with her back against the trunk. Childish laughter filtered to her ears but she ignored it in favor of closing her eyes to listen to the wind running through the garden. This tree is so old. I wonder if I knew it when I was alive...

Ken watched the events unfold before him, looking as the two left he moved over to Ruka and spoke " I guess it's just you and me now..." he said with a happy hum as he looked at her awaiting a response wondering what it was that she would do now as he continued to stand before her and calmly look into her eyes...

Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka opened her eyes, blinking as she pulled herself out of her vague memories. "Still bothering me I see." she smiled "Well you might as well sit down." She motioned to the patch of grass next to her and looked up at the tree itself. The calm demeanor was still firmly in place, unhindered thanks to the peace of the garden.

A garganta opened up and out popped Natsu, Kenichi and Kiyoshi. Natsu stretched as he welcomed the breathable air. "I've had just about enough trips to Huerco Mundo in a lifetime. But...it does answer a lot of questions I've had about you, Kiyoshi."  Kenichi Kurosawa Kenichi sighed, and looked to the two captains, his mind now occupied on getting back to Kaliko as soon as possible. "If you will excuse me...I need to be somewhere." With that he went off on his own.

Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka's head shot up as she felt several spiritual pressures she hadn't even realized she'd been looking for. Wordlessly, she stood up and walked under an arch in time to see Kenichi disappear. She stared at Natsu and Kiyoshi, not quite believing what she was seeing.
