Tsumi smiled. She was understanding magic a little bit better. " Is there a spell to find someone?", Tsumi asked. She bit her lip hoping the answer was yes and if there wasn't, she would make a spell.

Aénir thought through this. "A few, one is scrying, which is an indefinite science... another requires that the person you are looking for have something with a specific spell already ingrained into it."

This was going to harder than it looked. Tsumi thought about what spells her sensei told her. She nodded and sat quietly in her desk trying to figure out what she was going to do to trace her biological parents and her former sensei.

"Do you have any questions, Silva?" Aénir picked up the chalk again.

"N-no, ma'am, I understand." Silva said, looking at her hands. She didn't like that the two students were now the focus of attention, and she is always stiff and uncomfortable when she was someone's focus.

"Alright then," she turned back to the board. "With dark magic, the concept is very similar. Though, because it is mutable, darkness might be harder to grasp at first it but it becomes easy to master with practice." She drew out a few symbols onto the board, one was a moon, and the other was the symbol of a major constellation. "Basic dark magic revolves around the subconscious, what one thinks they see, the things they imagine. Black magic focuses on the things that remain unseen, the unknown."

"Ah. you mean the misunderstood.", Tsumi replied. She smiled. She wasn't scared of the unknown or the unseen.

Aénir chuckled. "This magic can be perceived as such, yes. However, this is not the lesson." She added a few more symbols to the board, the one for the sun and also one that represented the north star. "In contrast, light magic is based off of the things that can be seen, that are easily picked up and used. It is straight. However, it is also in some ways harder to master because of its simplicity."

Tsumi heared footsteps outside the classroom. She focused on what her sensei was saying. A look of confusion appeared on her face. How can it be harder to master? She studied what the teacher wrote on the board and said nothing.

"Light mages may disagree with me on that idea, though." Aénir shrugged and finished a few touches on some of the symbols. "However, for the most part, the idea of where the magics get their name and focus is universally the same. Light mages favor the light, the sun, and often bright colors, whereas dark mages prefer shade, the night, and darker colors. In some ways, this helps the caster focus their energy and magic."

A 12 girl with bare feet opens the door and enters. "Ah, sorry for disturbing the class.", Renji says. "I'm Ren." She walks to a desk and sits.
Tsumi looks at the girl and says nothing. " What other types of mages are there besides Drak mages and Light mages", Tsumi asks.

"Hello Ren." Aénir scanned the room once more before moving to an unmarked section of the board to mark down a number of symbols that referred to different elements. "Mages can be of a number different elements, actually. There are nature-based mages which can focus on one of a few magic types such as earth, fire, air or storm, and ice magics. There are also summoners which branch off according to what the specialize in summoning, from spirits to animals. There are also those who like to use some of science in their magic working, which is often utilized in potions that can be used to heal or to poison someone."

Silva shifted in her chair, sending a few innocent glances to the new arrival. Twirling a strand nervously on her index finger, she tried to listen to the lesson. Taking out a black notebook, she put a large bold heading, the date, and class at the top of the paper in her tiny neat handwriting.
She had trouble obsorbing the information. Jotting down important things she heard, she did her best to focus and not get off track. Silva had some trouble with daydreaming. Though she tried to be attentive, her mind was like a trampoline. All of the information sent into it was bounced right back.
