Ӎelanie grinned and shoved her hands forward, her Appy taking off for an early lead. She rose into a two point position, staying still on her Appy's back. Since she was at the head of the trail, she pulled ahead for an early lead. She could feel Thunder pulling at the reins, but held him in. She could feel the adrenaline rushing througb her veins as she ducked her head underneath her arm to see where everyone was. She saw Andrew coming up on her and she let Thunder out one notch, but he had plenty more energy. She had run this gelding on the beaches in California, where she grew up. She had chosen the gelding straight off the racetrack, which made him naughty and sometimes dangerous. He had become a prime jumper and dressage horse, but he was truly bred to run. She snapped her head back up and focused straight ahead onto the wide trail on the far side of the meadow, her blonde hair whipping around her face.
(( Guys, don't have anyone be shooting ahead and winning. I think there should be at least a couple posts per person, battling for the lead in the race. So no one post winnings, because that wouldn't be fair and could be considered godmodding. ))
