Siren:Waahhhh big brother I wanted to pet the cat but it scratched me!!
Leo:Well how about I draw you a cat that you can always pet.
Siren:Really. *Siren watches him draw*User Image Wow you are really good at drawing Leo.
Leo:Well one day I am going to make new drawings in the stars, and the first one I am going to draw is the Siren constellation.
Siren: Really you promise!!
Leo:I promise.
Siren razz inky promise?*Siren sticks out her pinky*
Leo razz inky promise. *Leo grabs her pinky with his and shakes it*
Siren:Yay!

Without realizing it, Leorand hand pointed at the sky and began invisibly drawing the very cat that her brother had drawn for her as a child. He smiled softly, even visualized the cat prancing around among the stars, returning to play with her long lost family.

*Siren is running after Leo*
User Image
Siren:LEO! LEO WHERE ARE YOU GOING? DON'T LEAVE ME!!
User Image(ignore the girl in the background)
Leo:Go home! I have had enough of this! Just leave me alone!
Siren:But I need you Leo! You are my last family, the last person I can rely on!
Leo:No! Go away! Learn to stand on your own! I have had enough!
*Siren falls* Leo!!

Leorand's mindless drawing stops and he frowns. Of all the things for an older brother to do. No wonder she hates showing emotions. He sighed and closed his eyes, relaxing in his seat and thinking of ways to help her without throwing his ability out into the open.

*Siren looks at him confused*Your heart is sad and confused. *She covers her mouth realizing what she just said.* I'm sorry. I just blurt things out like that. *Siren thinks* Oh no I did it again! People will find out I can read their hearts and think I'm a freak!

"Cut from the same stone, a friendship forged by destiny." Leorand recited with a smile. He definitely read way too much fantasy, but it served him well. "I told you not to worry around me. To be completely honest, you're not the only one who can read people." He offered, opening his eyes and looking at her. Giving her a smile identical to her brother's.

Leorand smiled softly and reached over to tussle her hair gently. "I may not be Leo, but I'm definately better at handle things than he is." He stated looking up at the stars. "Anytime you need someone to help you, I'll be there to help."

Thank you. *Siren fixed her hair again*She spent about 30 minutes just looking at the stars and then got up* Well I better get going I have already taken up a lot of your time. But thank you for cheering me up. I haven't been this happy in a long time.User Image I know he may not have taken that well but I understand why. He always had to take care of me, and he never really got to be a kid. I understand and...is it crazy for me to still believe in him?

Leorand shook his head and smiled as he watched her stand up. "I think you're doing what you think is right." He offered with a small chuckle. "At least he's still out there. But we are a lot alike in the fact of parents. Mine died while I was growing up, but when they were alive, I used to wish they were dead." He said with a slight frown, the memory of his abusive parents swimming up again.

I'm sorry...I never really knew my parents. They were always busy with work. On my birthday the maid would buy my present for my parents and my brother would have to sing to me alone. On christmas they always held a buisness christmas party and I was not allowed to attend because "it was no place for children" *Siren put the air quotes in* I didn't have any friends because I was home schooled 10 hours a day, even on weekends. The only time they would talk to me is to yell at me for not getting every answer correct or for walking/standing with bad posture. I was always mad at them and I just got to the point where I couldn't take it. I have tried to commit suicide many times but my brother always stopped me. I even tried to...I actually did burn my house down. I was saying I would burn down the tool shed with me in it. But I...I fell and the firework I was going to use to burn it down caught the curtains on fire. My mom and dad were trying to save us but a beam trapped them in their room. the maid and butler were the ones to get us out. I was blamed for their death, my brother was the only one on my side.

Leorand had already seen all of this in her memories, but he still frowned slightly, feeling once again akin to her. He stood up and gently wrapped his arms around her in a compassionate hug. "For all it's worth, I don't blame you." He said before letting go and looking at her, his brotherly grin his own. "Accidents happen, it's nothing to trouble yourself over. I'm willing to bet your parents are up in heaven, praising you for the girl they didn't see until now."

*Siren smiled again* I blame you...for making me smile. *Siren giggles* What about your parents? If you don't mind me asking. *Siren sat back down and looked at him intently*

Leorand sighed, remembering that she could only feel current feelings, not past memories. "Well, up until I was seven, me and my parents got along famously. Until they caught me reading a fantasy book. They hated fantasy with a passion, blaming it for everyone's current issues, saying it created killers and sinners." He looked up at the stars, visualizing the long forgotten faces of his once smiling mother and father. "When I got into High School, I hid my books in my lockers and the whole incident was forgotte, but my parents would still get pissed at me. Through this stress, I developed my ability and found out why they hated fiction so much." He looked back at Siren and shrugged.

"When I tried to tell them about it, the abuse returned until I finally stood up for myself and sent my dad to the hospital. My mom then found out that he was cheating on her and killed him with his own revolver. Later that year, she snapped inher sleep and tried to kill me, thinking I was him." He looked away, feeling like looking at her reminded him a little too much of the first girl he told, who had run away in fear. "I told her the next morning, she turned herself in, was put into a loony bin and died in her room. Apparently a heart attack." He sighed having finally finished his story. He didn't blame her for feeling responsible for her parents. In a way, his parents were his fault too.

*Siren looked at him and she touched his chest where his heart is*She started to cry* This is how your heart feels right now *she says looking at him* My heart too. *Siren said touching her own heart with her free hand* You shouldn't blame yourself. It had nothing to do with you. Whatever happens, happens for a reason. You don't have to be worried about sharing with me because I won't judge you or hold it against you. *Siren hugged him gently and placed her hand on his heart again* Open the door way to the spirit world. With this mortal as my companion and I as a guide open the entrance now. *Siren snapped*A big white gate opens up in front of them* Come with me. We'll clear all of this up with one final good-bye. It is up to you. *Siren offers her hand*
