She sniffed smelling cooking fish and was tempted to go back. She shook her head. No... better to eat her own food... even if his smelled better. She began eating one of the squirrels slowly letting her mind wander and brood. He said they would be there for a day or two so there was no rush... She hummed to herself quietly and tried to plan. She could probably get him to drop her off somewhere where there was some sort of civilization... next time he stopped in for supplies anyway... The future was bleak though. Dark and empty. She stared at the bones and put them to one side. Squirrel didn't taste good. She reached for the second eating it slowly as well. Food was food after all. She was tired again and it was nice to feel the sun again even if it... wasn't a normal one...

He continues to eat and descale, filleting fish one after hte other. He had cooked about five or six fishes, and filleted about eight or nine, having caught a good bit. He layed out the flesh, letting it sit, having used the last of his salts to cure it. He pouts a little, then continues to eat the cooked fish, having a few more left, the smell filling the area around him. Klaus picks up the little grill, hiding it under the deck with everything else.

The smell was almost maddening but Alicia Mary was stubborn and after a while she put out the fire and went to sleep in a patch of sunlight feeling wrung out. Life used to be simple, why was it so complicated now?

He sighs and clicks the fingers up, spinning the wrist so the hand spun rapidly, taking aim. he didn't fire, but Klaus had to make sure all the joints and locks worked. He released it and smiled as he stretched out. The fish would take a while to cure, so he'd figure he'd make the most of his time. Pulling his pistol, as a rabbit hopped along, he popped it good with a single shot. The boom was like a small crack of thunder. He hopped off the boat and headed to the rabbits carcass. He brought it back to the boat, slowly taking his time to skin it.

Hearing the sound Alicia Mary leapt to her feet and staggered blinking. She shivered and leaned back against a tree and took long deep breaths. It was just Klaus... She sighed softly and shuddered. She was actually scared to mention it. He might think it was funny to... no, he probably wasn't that sick... but still. She shivered and sat down slowly. She wanted to sleep but that was impossible for now. Reluctantly she got up and wandered through the woods restlessly trying to settle down. She practiced with her bow again then sighed wondering what the bloody point was. People here had guns. Who was she trying to fool? She didn't feel like going back to the boat. She sighed softly and after a while tried to take another nap in the sunlight.

Klaus sits down and finishes skinning, taking the rabbits fur, he pulls it out and stretches it, so it could get tanned and be usable. He then takes the meat, cutting the choice parts and setting them on his little grill, since he had no choice but to cook it, the smell easily filling the woods. He chuckles, wondering if he should be extra mean to the Alicia. He takes a little fan out, waving the smell towards her.

Alicia Mary twitched a bit but remained asleep, her short sleep before hadn't been enough for her body. After about an hour she woke again feeling sore and grumpy. The smell of good food came to her and she shivered. He had seasonings! not much perhaps but some.... She swallowed. Squirrels were small and not very filling. She gathered up her stuff and came over, hoping onto the boat and hesitating. "Um... what you were cooking... is there any left?" She asked trying not to sound too eager. She had been taught that if she showed any sign of eagerness to expect whatever it was to be snatched away while she got laughed at for wanting things. She had a slightly frightened look in her eyes and couldn't meet his.

"Rabbit. I ran out of salts so I can't preserve the meat." He says as he cuts a little bit of it, eating it quietly. "Do you want some?" He asks, feeling a little evil this day. The little islands sun slowly started to set as he went and inspected the fur, seeing that it had done a good enough job, tossing it. "To cover your metal arm at night."

She gave him an odd look. "Huh?" She asked plainly bewildered. She caught the fur before it hit her and examined it carefully. She shivered and dropped it abruptly as if it had burned her.

"Something wrong?" Klaus inquires as he sits down. "Also, I asked if you wanted any rabbit." He says once more as he eats a little more of it. His left arm once more hidden behind the shoulder cape as he relaxes against the railing.

"Just... don't like..." She was backing away from the fur then looked up at him. "Metal arm? Like... yours?" She felt like her brain was skipping showing up the words of the conversation in the wrong order.

"No, because mine is built with the idea that heat and coldness shouldn't pass threw it." He says as he looks at her. "Your arm is made of metal, or at least some kind of machinery, maybe some high strength material." He says as he looks at her. "Your arm, if it was human would have been, if not broken, several torn and slashed open from the rope. Not to mention how you seemingly started loosing while sleeping." He says as he walks up and picks the fur up. "Don't like rabbit?" He questions.

She swallowed and blinked slowly. "We couldn't find a good insulator I wouldn't react to..." She mumbled looking down, her hand curled slightly. He had figured out her secret... and so easily... she should have been more careful. She hesitated. "I like rabbit..." She said vaguely trying to figure out what to do now.

"Hm, that you wouldn't react to?" He askes as he ponders. "Does that mean that the controls aren't insulated either?" He asks curious as he sits down, eating some more of the meat. "Well, the fur is for you to wrap around it at night, it should hold the heat in so you don't hurt as much." He says as he plays with some of the grilled meat and fish.

"I have allergies... though I don't expect you know what those are..." She said slowly and swallowed. "Thank you." She gave the fur a intent look wanting to question how on earth he had gotten it properly tanned in such a short time without the proper chemicals. She had a feeling it had something to do with how magic worked here. The rules of science and reality were different. "Could I have some please?" Despite her best efforts she couldn't distract herself from the smell and even while thinking hard she had ended up staring at the grilled meat. She closed her eyes and cursed herself inwardly.
