ArtikGato Well, all I have to do is survive my finals and I'll have the ENTIIIIREEE month of May to do cosplay!! (since Artikgato is a worthless bum who will be staying with her mother once school is out, and doesn't want to get a job until after her birthday, which is coincidentally a few days after Animazement). Currently, I'm about 60% finished with my Lillymon costume. I just have to build the boots, do the wings, and do other random little things like adding floral decorations. I have all the necessary fabric, thread, and the pattern to remake my Suzuka costume, which I will most likely doing this weekend...if Kingdom Hearts 2 does not endlessly occupy my attention, as it did for almost all of my Spring Break. I also have all the necessary fabric and (YAYAYAYAY) the wonderflex to make Soi's costume. As for the fabric part of the costume, all I need to do is find a pattern for the shirt and some black fabric paint. For the armor... well, I need to get some gesso, a bunch of maroon and gold acrylic paint, a heat gun, and a lot of sand paper. This costume will probably steal away 50% of my month off. sweatdrop But, it'll be worth it. After that, I may try to improve my Jun costume from last year and finish off my ghetto Envy costume. (solely for playing DDR in...and scaring all of the Ed's at the con... twisted ) There's also random stuff, like props to go with my costumes (the biggest of which will be an actual working Flower Cannon to go with Lillymon...should I decide to get off my lazy butt and actually work on it), and some easy costumes for other people. Oh!! you are going as lillymon!!! I am going as Tai and my friend is going as Mimi!! (I hope to have a sora too but she is being stubborn) If I see ya, can we take a pic?!?!?! that'd be cool! what day are you going as lillymon? (sorry if it has been asked, I just scanned all the posts)

man! my comp closed my window down so i have to type this all over again! sad
kk well my Tai costume is almost done, I just gotta add stars to the shirt and finish my koromon plushie. (the eyes arent the same color, but it is simi close...sorta.) Also if it looks good enough, i am making a digivice and crest out of clay (since I cant find a season 1 digivice anywhere!) If it looks good i will take it.
my Naru (love hina!! ^^) costume is done, but very ghetto. I couldnt find a red skirt for the life of me and i really didnt wanna buy a pattern and fabric so I went to my aunts house and complained to her. She brings me this tube like fabric (it was all one big peice, reminding me of a dress looking thing. Sorta more like a tube top but long) and said something abou it being used for like pj cuffs or something ( i was too happy to remember what she called it) so you can tell it is pretty ghetto. also my friend says her snowboots look just like Naru's boots so i am going to take a look at em. If worse comes to worse i will just use my boots. ^^
and finally when I was all out of money (I of course got side tracked ^^" ) and laying on my bed i saw the perfect pair of pants (my room is teh messy, but I do clean it.. well my sissy does lol) they were really close looking to kyo's (fruits basket!) but they are capris. So i decided i will do a girl version of him. I am not too fond of the idea of me making his outfit more girl like, but it is all I can do. I think it will look decent though! ^^

-Need to find sneakers that I like and are comfortable
-Need to finish weapon
-Need military looking bag
-Need to add "finishing touches" to my collar. I may have to make it all over again though...
-Need a plain white shirt

I talked to the girl doing my kitty stuff and as you suggested Kasumi she's just running a little behind, she hasn't forgotten me. mrgreen
I'm plotting all kinds of the stupidest geekiest stuff too. *L* I've been on this huge craft felt kick so right now I'm thinking of making a felt applique (sp?) of one of the Duck Hunt ducks and putting it on a tank top.

I just realized today that Animazement is only four weeks away, I still haven't died my costume, I still haven't gotten a wig, hell I still haven't figured out what sort of spray paint to use on my gloves. gonk

I know, it is closer than I expected!! well at least it should be simple to dye your costume. hmm I dunno when I am going to dye my hair, any suggestions? I dont want to like have it faded by the time but also I want to be able to use product and be able to wash my hair. (you know how some dyes say you cant for like a day or 2)

I normally dye my hair a week or so before the con so I can still wash it, it won't look like I JUST dyed it the day before, but I won't have roots either.
I haven't dyed my hair since before AZ last year so I'm rocking the mad roots right now. I don't know if I'm going to dye it before the con either, we'll see. *L*

Digimon cosplayers need more love. heart I am going to be wearing Lillymon on Saturday, most likely, but not all day. I think if there is an Animazement group meeting I'll wear it to that, because for some reason Lillymon has become my most famous costume around here. mrgreen Oh, and the Animazement board over at cosplay.com is in need of Love Hina cosplayers: Clicky Clicky!Here's what hopefully will be my cosplay schedule for Animazement: Friday: Twilight Suzuka (Outlaw Star) Saturday morning: Lillymon (Digimon) Saturday night: Soi (Fushigi Yuugi) Sunday: Tao Jun (Shaman King) and possibly Soi again Dance Dance Revolution/Rave Costume: Envy (FMA)

Pics of what I did today!  The sword, unaltered, next to the sheath I made. The sheath was made with a cell phone belt clip/holster, paper towels, and carton sealing tape. Sounds almost Macguyver, no? Put the sword through the cell phone case (it already had an open bottom: two straps would have held in a phone), then wrapped the sword in paper towels to make sure the sword didn't get taped into place. Then wraped the whole assembly with the carton sealing tape. Realized a little later that the tape uses mosture to get sticky, kinda like an envelope seal. With drops of water in a few strategic places, it held without me having to redo it, though I may make another layer.  Here it is on my hip. A real pain to take this picture, had to look into the little viewport of the camera(okay, my cell phone) in a mirror to get this. Otherwise, I'd have tried to get the whole length. It reaches halfway down my calf.  Looks like a I stuck a batarang or something onto it, no? The frilly edges are tabs to be folded under when glueing the top and bottom together. Please ignore the dirty sock. Please do not ignore the Berries and Cream Diet Dr Pepper. It is the most wonderful soda I've ever had with no calories. Only non-diet Berries and Cream Dr Pepper is better. Don't have pics to share of the cloak, that's at my parent's place. I'll have to take some pictures when I go there Thursday, will share pics of me in the cloak Thursday night!
