As soon as Elina was on her back Maureen stood up. Though she was only 5' 2" she was going to try to help this woman as best as she could. Using her hands she grabbed the woman and hiked her up on her back so she was a bit higher up and she stood under where Jimmy was waiting. "If you can climb up on my shoulders it might be more helpful for both you and....Jimmy."

[Kill them with Kindness] Jimmy reaches down further and opens his hand. He looks back at his position and panicked, noticing his grip on the ground was slipping. Jimmy quickly looks back at the Maureen trying to hoist Elina up and grabs hold of her hand, then pulls her up and falls back onto the ground. He looks over at Elina that had fallen next to him and stands up "Sorry for the roughness.." [He always gets the job done]

Elina smiled. "Thank you." she pulled her legs up to her chin, the wrapped her arms around them. As she waited for Maureen and whoever else to get up, she sat, watching as the sun slowly rose over the tops of the trees. It felt like years since she'd done that.

[Kill them with Kindness] Jimmy walks to the hole again and calls out to Maureen "I'm gonna need your help when it comes to getting out of here.. The other two seem kinda shaken up about what the people did to them.." Jimmy obviously kept his voice down to prevent complication, but he still feared that Elina and Dan's trauma would get in the way of their escape. He knew it couldn't be helped but it was still an issue to be discussed "From what I can tell from looking around, we're on some sort of island.. You can hear the sound of the ocean.. Its bloody frustrating.." [He always gets the job done]

Giving a nod and sitting down again Maureen rubbed her eyes to get some of the dirt out of them that had fallen when Elina was taken out of the hole by Jimmy. "I would climb up there right now, but I cannot find where I put my glasses....." She whined softly, beating herself up mentally for her stupidity. How could I have lost them so easily? she questioned herself as she blinked several times and looked around the hole as best as she could.
"I will probably have to wait till the sun comes up more to find them. You guys go on ahead without me and I shall find you as soon as I find them," she told Jimmy as she got on her hands and knees and began looking around for her glasses. The ground felt much different from what she had first thought and it was almost as if she was climbing over bodies of sorts. She pushed that thought from her mind as she focused on finding her glasses so she could help the others.

[Kill them with Kindness] Jimmy rubs his chin and grabs his parka, then reaches into one of the pockets and pulls out his lighter "Here, use this" He hands the lighter down to Maureen and quickly grabs another pill for himself "The light should help you.." [He always gets the job done]

Hearing the lighter fall not too far away Maureen crawled over to where she thought it landed and found the little square metal container. Flicking it open she ignited the oil within and begins to use the light to do a better search of the ground. Her assumption of the ground having bodies in it was exact and she nearly screamed again the first time she came upon one with open eyes. Shaking all over she moved away and continued to crawl, using one hand to keep the lighter ignited as she searched for her glasses.
"Found them!" she exclaimed as she crawled over to the pair of glasses and picked them up to put them on. She put out the lighter and slid it into her pants pocket before heading back over to the side of the hole where Jimmy was. Much better, I can see the holds now, she told herself as she dug into the wall with her hands and began to pull herself up the wall.

Hearing the soft scratch of someone climbing, natural instincts took over and he got up. Stumbling over, he carefully let his hand down and mumbled,"I can pull you up if you want.....I mean...only if you want...we're all soldiers here....soldiers helping soldiers." He mumbled something else too, but that was undistiguishable.

Looking up at the new voice Maureen smiled and pulled herself up a bit more before slipping a bit. She managed to grab a hold of a foot hole as she slid and she jammed her foot into the wall to keep from sliding more. She looked back up to see that he was not too far away, just a foot or two above her. "Alright, if I can make it up that far," she called up as she began to climb again, hoping that either this other guy or Jimmy would be there to get her up the rest of the way if she couldn't.

He made a soft bird whistle, pulling his hand up; but ready to shoot it back down and grab her. His mind was clear of war, of the experimenters and experiments; and his only thought was of that of the present. His green eyes were clear and his face looked much younger then it first appeared to be. These inklings of hope were doing much for Dan.

Digging into the dirt of the wall she was climbing Maureen fought against the will of gravity that clawed at her body to get up to the rest of the people. The pain in her wrists from the beating she had taken just recently throbbed but she ignored it and drove herself to keep climbing. Her mind focused on getting out of the hole so she would not be stuck there like those who had failed to escape before her. But if there was to be an escape it would have to be now before she got too weak from not eating or drinking water.
Almost there, just another foot or two, she told herself as she pulled herself up some more and froze for a moment. Sweat beads trickled down her face and the pain in her body was causing her to shake slightly. She looked up again and gave a soft whine as she attempted to pull herself up a bit more. The feeling of wanting to slip back into the hole and give up was rising, but she clung to the wall with all her might, hoping that her body would not give out before she could get to the top. "Jimmy..." she called up with a small whine, hoping that either he or the other guy would hear her and come back to help her up the rest of the way.

The men dragged Maki along the sand, her legs and feet chafing from the gritty heat. "My god, this girl is like a rock!" muttered one of them. Her head lolled limply, eyes closed although she was conscious, and she said nothing to their insults, their dragging her across the hot sand, or their hard grip on the bruises on her arms.
They threw her unceremoniously down the hole, and she hit the side before slamming into the bottom. Hearing their retreating footsteps crunch across the beach, she relaxed a little, sighing.
Perhaps it was her imagination, but was that a voice? Probably was. "Going really crazy now, huh?" she mumbled.

Dan watched, frozen as two gaurds threw another girl down the hole and left--without a second look. He sighed and thought,must not give a damn... He pushed his arm down and wrapped his hand around Maureen's wrist,"Don't worry, I got you. Just need you to push with your feet a bit....you'll be outta there sooner..." He started to gently tug to lift her up. And hopefully before my madness kicks in. He hated those times of raving. Not a conscious thought went through his mind but to get away from the bombs and rapid fire of machine guns...--No, not the time to think about that. This came first, then the others could help the other girl.
The strands of darkness shrouded the edge of his vision.

Maureen winced as the fingers of the other man wrapped around her bruised wrist. She bit her lip to keep from squealing in pain and pushed her body up with her feet. She used her other free hand to help the man pull her up as she kept struggling with her feet on the wall. Good thing I was wearing my boots when I tried to escape. I could not imagine doing this with my regular shoes! She struggled, ignoring the fact that the guards who tossed someone new into the hole could have spotted them, and looked at the guy who was trying to help her out of the hole.

Straining, and then using his other hand to help; his muscles managed to start to inch her over the hole's edge. He grunted with exertion, but continued...it was nothing his experience couldn't handle. (Assuming that they continue this pattern of pulling and struggling)--Almost there, just a few more feet to go! Getting to his feet heavily, he yanked hard before tumbling to the ground and letting go. (Sorry for the bit of godmodding... ;-; Physic's defies godmodding rules) The last heave had pulled the young woman over the edge and onto the sand.He panted before saying,"That's done...I'm sorry...." Dan collasped and made a soft mewling sound, his eyes clamped shut and his mouth silently moving things. The darkness had taken over.
