Scarlett instantly relaxed at his touch,smiling too as they began to dance. They danced for about 30 minutes when a strong light started to creep over the land,making it's way in to the hall.Scarlett began to pulse and she gasped,stumbling back and out of Austin's arms.She looked up and saw Jed walking towards them to see what's wrong.She bolted for the door, bursting through it ranning down the steps and towards the village,picking up speed as she regained her half demon form.

Scarlett sighed,"Damn that was close."She muttered,going back to Rose's hut. She stopped, however, when the smell of Rose and John mating came to her nose and she chuckled.Reaching her hand inside,she grabbed her backpack, which held her kimono and wooden sandles and quietly snuck to the woods to change. Walking back out of the trees 5 minutes later in her normal clothes,she untied her hair and undid the braide, her hair curling slightly down her back. She smiled as she watched the peaceful village as the villagers moved about, doing their nomals daily chores. Her ears twitched when she heard trumipets and looked over at Jed and his wife Catherine as they stood on a raised platform, Austin, Star, and Star's parents with them. She snuck closer and slipped silently in to the gathered crowded in front of the platform.

Jed cleared his throat,"Ahem,I hope you all enjoyed my son Austin's 17th birthday ball last night.Today,we have come with an annoucement.Austin, the next in line to being your leader,is marrying Ms. Star Annabell.Their wedding will be in 2 monthes time and I invite you all to come.That is all."He said and turned to leave,Catherine right behind me.Scarlett heard mummers around her,but didn't hear the exact words.Her ears were back and she felt sad.A sudden roar made her look up as bright orange fire burst overheard,catching on to some of the village huts. Villagers scrambled in fear as the dragon demon swooped down.She ducked and barely missed being swooped up by the demon.A cry made her look up.A young boy by around 6 crouched,alone,in the middle of the village,the demon baring down on him.She bolted for him as Jed shouted,"Attack,defend the village!"

Scarlett got the boy back to his mother before ran after Austin and the dragon,catching up as they stopped at a feild a mile away. Taking out her swords as she ran,they began sparking with electricity and she swung them,throwing a large lightening bolt at the dragon.It roared,the attack only scathing it as it roundedo n her and blew fire.She put up her swords and blocked the attack,getting pushed back a bit.

"Austin!"Scarlett said worriedly,putting her swords away quickly and running over to him.She kneeled next to him and put his head in her lap,moving his hair out of his eyes.(Thank you.)She thought to him,smiling gently.Suddenly,she was pushed away by someone and fell back,looking up in to the angry eyes of Jed,"Leave,now."He snarled through clenched teeth as Catherine kneeled by her son,"You are a disgrace half breed,you don't deserve him."he said and kicked her.Scarlett got to her feet and backed away,running in to the trees with tears in her eyes.Stopping under a canopy of leaves,she looked back before turning away and disappearing in to the woods.

Jed had one of the gaurds take Austin up to his room while he went to go speak with his family,"Alright,as soon as Austin's better,we need to attack the half breeds.We'll go in,take the full demon child,then raise her here, use her against her family."He smiled evilly.

(Somehow Scarlett's youngest sister was born a full demon and Jed wants to take her.)

"Austin."Jed called him and walked over,"Are you ready son?"he asked, handing him his swords."We have a mission tonight,be ready in an hour." He said and went back to getting ready.

Scarlett sat on the garden wall,staring out over the forest.Her hair flowed gently in the wind and she inhaled it,wishing she could have stayed with Austin.

Jed led them through the forest at nightfall,stalking through the trees silently.Soon,they came to Scarlett's familly castle and stopped within the tree line.He looked at Austin,"Son,you'll soon be the leader,I want you to lead this attack tonight."He said.

Scarlett looked up from her book as she sat in her secret hideout in one of the castle towers.Getting to her feet,she went to the window and opened it,looking out over the land as her ears twitched.
