Definitely man, and I am sure you will get it, and most likely quick. Times are hard and a reliable, cheap car is what people are looking for so they can get to their jobs and not loose them lol.

Honestly, I'm incredibly excited to get the Cressida. This afternoon, I'm going to call the guy that's selling the white Cressida, and see how low I can get him to go. Oh, and I've actually never seen a Cressida in person. How big are they? I know pictures can be deceptive. In pictures it almost seems only as big as my Integra is. But, IRL, my Integra is TINY. So how big is the Cressy? Can I expect more rear leg room from the Cressy over my Teg?

Just looked up some wikipedia info. '91 Integra Length: 4,485 mm (176.6 in) Width: 1,715 mm (67.5 in) '87 Cressida Length: 4,770mm (187.8 in ) Width: 1689 mm (66.5 in) So, wow, the Cressy is more than 10 inches longer than the Teg! And, haha while VIP is nice, I think the look I'm going to go for with the Cressy will be a more rugged, dirty beater/ weekend fun car look.

I've gotten serious offers of at least $1200 for my Integra now. So, as far as selling it, I think I'm covered as long as I don't take too long. Now it's up to me to schedule a time to look at the Cressida. Unfortunately, this guy seems busy so I don't know when I can schedule a time for me and my dad to go look at this car.
What worries me however, is that this guy says that he has replaced head gasket seals, oil pan and plugs. The plugs don't worry me too much, but the head gasket seals and especially the oil pan does really worry me. Why did the gasket seals need to be replaced? Did he just want to replace it because it was getting old, or did he blow it up and then decided to fix it? The oil pan? Why? Was there a major oil leak problem that he's trying to fix, and DID that repair fix it or does it still leak?
Any tips and advice for what I should be looking for especially when the owner has admitted to changing these parts?

Well, when you are looking at something as old as a cressida, things like that tend to wear and go out and need to be replaced. I would not worry about it. Especially if he told you about it. He is just trying to "up" his sale, like I told you to do with your teggy. The fact he replaced his gasket, seals and oil pan means, you don't have to. Get it checked out by someone you know who is a mechanic and go from there. But, doing that has nothing to do with the seals or anything, that is just something you do with EVERY car you buy. But like I said, it isn't a big deal, it doesnt mean he blew up the motor, because if he did, he would of replaced more than seals and an oil pan, or the car wouldn't be running right now. They were probably just bad and leaked oil, so he fixed it so it wouldn't leak.

I'll be checking the underside for traces of oil leaks and see if the fixes he made fixed things. As it stands right now, I have both my seller and my buyer lined up for Wednesday. I'm going to go Wednesday morning/ noon to look at the Cressida. Then, the potential buyer will come and look at my Integra Wednesday afternoon. If I like the Cressida, I will tell the seller to hold it one day for me and sell my Integra that afternoon; then pick up the Cressida next day. Hopefully, it all works out smoothly. Wish me luck! I've replaced head gasket seals and oil pan on the Jetta. Front and rear seals, intake manifold gaskets, all that crap gets old and needs replacement. Anything called a gasket is really an expendable part in the fullness of time.

No cressy for me, lawls. The car was on its last legs. Power steering pump, gone. Transmission, gone, clunked from R to any gear and vice versa. Engine still had fresh oil spots which meant that the gasket seals didn't solve the oil leaking problem. And, worst of all. The engine itself was on its last legs. Foot down, pedal to the metal, no response. Just taking its sweet time.
I'll just put up with my FWD nonsense for a bit longer. rolleyes
