Death smirked when Midori said, "How someone as stupid as this survived long enough to make Jounin I'll never know." It was a little ironic to him and a little humorous, too. But that smirk was quickly wiped off his face as he saw Midori's fist out of the corner of his eye.

Without enough time for a proper block or a dodge Death just tightened his stomach and took the blow hard. He slid back, the punch was very good, but he was OK. Death had practiced enough conditioning that taking a blow like this wouldn't really hurt him.

After the comment of putting things in his mouth, Death made two and two make four. For two reasons Death grabbed his scarf and shoved it in his mouth. The first reason was just so show that he didn't care what he put in his mouth. The second reason was actually mature, what a surprise.

When Death pulled the scarf out of his mouth it was wet and had a different shade of red on part of it. The different red was Midori's blood, all of it. Blood was something Death treasured so he kept it in his mouth for as long as possible to enjoy the flavor. "Is this what you wanted?"

Daniel looked at Kuroi with a smile. "A chunin and your uncomfortable with senseless death? Thats pathetic."
Kuroi looked at Daniel, hissing, "Shut it Daniel. I am accostomed to death but senseless death is pointless and meddlesome is all. I was surprised the Kage partook in it."
Daniel looked at him again, seeing that Kuroi was lying, smiling. When he returned home with his younger brother he would surely do away with the pest and his quest in the name of the family. He wouldn't kill him but he would go 3/4s of the way, meaning that he would be practically dead by a normal person's standards.

(ooc: Ok what am I doing wrong? Lately several people have been acting like my characters thoughts are words she spoke out loud when she didn't! This hasn't happened to me before now so it's really confusing)

"Good, if you couldn't handle a blow of at least that level you wouldn't be fit to be my second in command." Said Midori with a wan smile as Death defended himself from taking the full brunt of the punch. He wasn't exactly her first choice, but none of the others had either his experience or power so he'd have to do.

As he swallowed his scarf then pulled it out of his mouth soaked in her blood she pointed at it sending a small stream bursting from her finger in an attempt to insinernate the scarf and along with it all traces of her life essence.

"Yes, that is what I wanted, Every part of me is a weapon including my blood. You wouldn't have done much good to me or the village if you had died because you swallowed some. Perhaps now you understand how it was that I was able to cause so much devastation during the exam..." She said.

Of course her poisonus blood hadn't been quite as bad back then as that was before she had gotten a hold of Chaos's notes and really started experimenting with new stuff but even so it had been enough to get the job done.

Turning to Flagenza she looked at him her face grim, "No, judging from the numbers you reported they would be fools to make us their only target. Hidden Steel has always been a small village, now that they have the opportunity to expand they won't waste it. For them striking against us to get revenge would just be a convent cherry onto the cake as it where." She explained

flagenza tensed at midori's words. so the village hidden in clouds could be in danger. if it hadn't been for hizeru flagenza would have run home immediatley but with that ninja there the village hidden in clouds couldn't be touched.

" well i'm personally looking to take this fight to their door step but i could show someone around quicklly."

((It's ok, your not the only one who did that. My style has always worked before so it's a little baffiling for me))

"Oh hush you big cry baby, If I wanted to burn you I'd have used a much bigger flame" replied Midori as she burst out laughing at his "Jesus, woman!" comment.

"If it's any consolation you can have this." She said as she pulled a scarf out. "Unlike a normal scarf this one has seals woven into it so that it will actually act as armor. It can resist being sliced and even some light elemental jutsu" She explained.

"It's a test product I was working on for when I opened my weapons store as a right of passage in my clan. But now that I've become the Gaikukage I don't have time for something so frivilous so I want you to have this." she said as she held it out for Death to take.

"And yes I am crazy....crazy like a fox as you'd do well to remember." She said with a small grin before turning to Flageneza. "I'll be sure to include you on the trip then, but the time to leave won't be until the morning..." She said

"Oh sweet," Death commented as he accepted the gift. It was perfect, especially since his regular ones kept being lit of fire, ripped to sheds, exploded, turned into Swiss cheese, etc. This new scarf would be super helpful with his future missions, and he won't loose so many if at all.

Death reached behind his head with his free hand and attempted to untie what was left of the singed knot. For most people, this would be a simple task. For Death, he was blind as a bat in this scenario since he was only using his hand to see. He finally got it and the old, burned scarf fell to the floor, regaining its original red color.

With his mind on gifts, Death remembered something as he was tying on the knew scarf. "Hey Midori," he called. "You just reminded me, I have a special gift for you, too. I don't have it with me right now but I'm sure I could get it after all this commotion dies down." The gift he had was actually priceless secrets from his clan about seals and dead souls, something Midori would probably kill for.

Death laughed a little about the "crazy like a fox" comment Midori made. It was probably true that she was just as crazy as he, she just didn't let everyone see all the time. "So we're leaving in the morning? I guess we should all get a good night's sleep so that we're ready for the mission." Turning to everyone he advised, "Don't stay up to late, kiddies!"

"I'm....I'm flattered." Midori managed to stammer out when Death said that he had a gift for her in turn. "Just great, first the stuff with Chaos..." She thought bitterly. "Then Falta thinks I have a thing for Flagneza and now me and Death are giving each other gifts. People are going to start thinking I'm running my own haram or something." she thought bitterly.

"Yes, we'll leave in the morning, It's going to take me a little bit of time to put my invasion equipment together. With any luck I won't even need it but it dosn't hurt to be prepared just in case." she replied.
