"Good job, get your a** down here." Alex responded over her built in radio, all the while her eyes remained fixated on the Deathclaw as it began to move around and tear up the floor.

"Touch those and i will take it out of your hide, beast." Alex exclaimed as stormed up to the large creature, and poking the deathclaw repeatedly in the chest as she spoke.
"If you actually used that pea brain of your's you would know, that those doors ain't opening unless some one IN HERE unlocks them." Alex exclaimed sounding rather agitated, despite the electronic amplification on her helmet. As she stared up at the large Deathclaw that seemed to almost tower over her, her right hand(the cybernetic one) swiftly moved from poking the large creature to grabbing a hold of one of its horns, pulling on it to force the deathclaw (erin) to lower his head to her level as she continued to yell.
"You do not, under any circumstances, deliberately destroy Brotherhood equipment. AM I MAKING MY SELF CLEAR INITIATE!? If you where to rip out those cables, you would not only trap us in here, but you would also cancel out the electronic lock, THE ONE THING KEEPING THEM OUTSIDE!" Alex yelled, before she finally released the deathclaw, hands at her hips as she glared through her visor.

"Roger, be down in a second.", Bren replied as he wiped the blood off his hand on the wall. Stepping out into the dark room, he flipped on his Pip-Boy light, flashing it over the room a couple times. He had a feeling something was ready to get him. Stop being paranoid. You're fine...he thought as he noticed the elevator shaft. "I wonder if they're any good...", he muttered as he wandered over to the open doors.

Looking down, Bren saw one elevator stuck on the first floor, while one was open into the door right next to him. Taking a look up, he flashed his Pip-Boy and saw that the wires were still intact, and actually looked to be in decent condition. "I doubt they work...", he muttered as he brought his view back down. Maybe I can slide down this...he thought as he reached out and grabbed one of the wires. He chuckled to himself for a moment, then stepped off the floor and slid slowly down the wire.

When Bren hit the roof of the elevator, he slowly put his weight down on the frame of the elevator, and reached down for the access hatch. "Hellooooo...", he said as he lowered himself down and into the open elevator. "I'm here!", he said as Alex finished screaming at Erin.

Erin, somewhat annoyed by her condescension, attempted a rebuttal. He spoke calmly, slowly, and without anger or malice.

"One, there's blood on the walls saying nice things to us, they have been in here already and they can get in again. Two, locks that stop working are good, this is why you snap off the key in a door you want to stay closed, because locked things with bust locks stay locked until you fix the lock and open them. Three, the doors are solid steel, a hundred of me wouldn't shift that barrier and if the ghouls can force open those doors then we are all going to die very horribly any moment now because the locking mechanism won't matter. Four, the cables are attached with standard hookups, they detach and reattach for transport so all you have to do is unplug them until you need it opened. Five, we ARE trapped in here, or hadn't you noticed the ocean of hungry zombies? Six, I'm right next to you and I have good hearing, so don't shout, you'll hurt yourself. Seven, you're letting your personal feelings about my kind get in the way of your command. Eight, you're trying too hard to intimidate me, I respond better to icy disdain. Nine, I asked permission specifically because it's not my decision so your entire rant was pointless. Ten, I'm going to clean off some of this blood now, so if you'll excuse me?"

He moved to her side and headed calmly upstairs. He felt sort of bad for talking back, but he wasn't very happy with their situation and had become snippy.

Low growl emitted from Alex's helmet as she took a step after the Deathclaw, intending to beat it into a bloody pulp, only to reconsider her decision as she realized she didn't have time to properly house train Renegades Pet Deathclaw.

"Where moving, ghouls or no ghouls, they aren't stopping us from completing this mission. Now get a move on, loot the place for any useful equipment and meet me back here in an hour. Considering the size of the horde outside, i suggest ammo, lots and lots of ammo."

Bren nodded. "Roger. And I'm gonna assume this place is safe to breath now, with all the doors close and filters running.", he said. "Anyways, I'll be upstairs. Holler if you need me.", he finished before following Erin upstairs. I hope he's not too angry to help me out...he thought as he hopped quickly up the stairs. "Hey Erin! Would ya mind helping me out?", he asked loudly as he reached the top of the stairwell.

I do hope someone lets the ghouls know they're not stopping us completing our mission or they might just go and stop us by accident.

Erin had had an idea concerning the fusion power cells he'd taken inside while setting up the barricades and his leftover grenades, and he wanted to ask someone who understood science better than him about it. Thus, he was doubly pleased when the voice behind him wasn't Alex come to shoot holes in him but was in fact Bren.

"Help? Of course, it's why I'm here." Erin had found an unidentifiable piece of fabric and was wiping the blood and gore from his hide. "What do you need?"

Bren light out a sigh of relief as he came through the doorway. He popped off his helmet as he approached Erin, and cautiously took a couple sniffs of the air. "Smells safe to me. Looks like the filters are up and running.", he said with a smile. He had contemplated pretending to die, but that would have been a rather cruel joke on his part. But it would have been quite funny...

"Anyways, I was just wondering if you could lift me through the elevator roof right there.", Bren said as he began to strip off his equipment, setting each piece of it on a desk near him. "I want to check out the area, maybe see if I can find any valuable information or equipment up there. Might help us get out alive.", he added as he finished stripping down to his Vault suit and P90 holster attached to his leg. "So, if you'd mind just give me a lift up through there, I'll let you go scavenge what you can.", he finished as he walked up to the elevator.

"Maybe you only think it smells safe. It you've gone insane already, how would you know? And don't ask the talking deathclaw, that probably wouldn't help." Erin chuckled and investigated the lift shaft. "Before you go, I've seen old cars explode when they're shot up, and it's the batteries that do it. If I was to stick a grenade on one of the batteries I brought inside and then throw it outside, would that kill me or the ghouls?" Taking a wide stance he leaned into the shaft so that Bren could clamber onto his shoulders, bracing himself against the door frame above him with one hand. He was intending to use the other hand to give Bren a leg-up once he'd got up there. "Up you go."

"Well, I'd assume so. I mean, it's probably the stress on the containment devices that set it off. As long as you can throw it far enough, which should be a problem for you.", Bren replied as he clambered onto the deathclaw. "But those doors aren't opening, if that's what you're thinking. I screwed up the electronic mechanism from up here.", he added as Erin lifted him onto the roof of the elevator.

"Thanks! You don't need to worry about me anymore. I should be fine, I got my radio and my gun. But go ahead and try for that idea, might prove helpful if we're in the open again.", Bren said as he reached up and began to climb up the shaft.

Erin chuckled to himself and went a-looting. "Naughty ghouls go sizzle-pop."

He found a few books upstairs in the control room, including a dog-eared and thoroughly re-read issue of guns and bullets. "Forward-assist? You have to be kidding." He swiftly put those away in his pouches, and kept looking. The rubbish bins held a few bits and pieces: a stimpack, some cigarettes and a leather strap that he judged suitable for attaching grenades to fusion cells. After that he moved on to another room and recovered two more stims from a box on a shelf, and a silenced 10mm pistol plus a small pile of matching ammo from a locker.

Joy of joys, he then found a technological something sealed in a box at the back of a cupboard, he didn't recognise its' purpose, but it definitely looked electronic and important. He imagined if the rusty fire extinguisher next to it was really some flamer fuel, and then making Alex be nice to him before handing it over. He would have liked that. His finest discovery was a big sack suitable for holding lots of useful things, such as a small pile of recovered fusion batteries from cars. He figured that the others would attend to the weapons and such, he was on the lookout for things of more long-term use. This included the spaghetti western holotape he knew no-one else would bother taking, because it had long-term cultural value and bore significant technological interest that only he knew about. He really did like the westerns.

That said, the top floor was a bit sparse for things of immediate use, but then a lot of it was locked or otherwise inaccessible to him, for instance because the catches on the desk drawers were too fiddly and he couldn't get them to work.

The climb wasn't as bad as Bren had thought it could be, but he was definitely tired. "Alright, take a look around...", he muttered as he looked at the midsized office. There wasn't much there, just several bookshelves filled with mostly burnt books, a desk and a large, ugly painting. Ugh...there's probably nothing useful here...he thought as he began to look through the bookshelves, finding nothing that wasn't completely ruined.

As Bren went to the desk, he pushed back the old chair, knocking it over. It fell onto the painting before falling to the ground with a dull thud. As he searched through the desk, he found a .32 pistol and a box of ammo for it and a roll of duct tape. "Hell, we used this back in the Vault...", he muttered as he finished up looking through the drawers. He had found a couple holotapes of old family conversations that probably belonged to the (long) dead mayor, but he took them anyways. As he turned, he noticed the painting hanging slightly off the wall, like a door.

Curious, Bren pulled it out more, exposing a safe. "Well then...", he said as he stepped over the knocked over chair to examine the safe. It was rather large, and from the looks of it...unlocked. Speaking into his radio, he said, "Hey, I found a safe up here...opening it now..." As he cracked it open the light from the Pip-Boy lit up something he didn't expect. It was some sort of shotgun, it looked almost like a Tommy Gun. It was long, black and had a large drum, which he assumed was the magazine. Next to a pile of pre-war money was several boxes of shells for the new weapon. "Well I'll be..."

Leona blinked a few times, catching her breath as the doors. She was completely out of breath simply from the adrenaline rush, and absolute terror of seeing a swarm of berserk ghouls rushing her way. She looked between the others, actually surprised when she saw Alex pull the Deathclaws head down to her level. "Holy..." She expected at first that it wouldn't move when she tried to pull it, but seeing it move like it had in response to her actions, she was fairly sure she didn't really wanna piss off the commanding officer anymore, thinking she'd get her throat crushed. And since things seemed to be going in a bad direction so far, she started to look around. She kept her new best friend close in hand and ready to swing as she followed Bren... Or started to before he was assisted to a higher floor by the deathclaw. Deathclaws still gave her chills, so she decided she wanted to find an alternate route up. She went looking around some more and eventually came to the elevator shaft, looking up and down inside of it. She grabbed hold of the cables and gave a firm pull to make sure it wasn't going to fall as soon as she started, then began to pull herself up... She caught up with Bren just as he had unlocked the safe. She came in just in time to find the weapon, and let her mouth hang open...

What a lucky b*****d! Leona immediately began searching the areas Bren had already looked in... She then looked back to Bren. "Hey... Um... If you wouldn't mind..." She looked to her bat and then to him again. "Er, Could I have one of those guns? I ran outta ammo for my Uzi y'see..." She blushed a bit behind the faceshielded helmet of the environmental suit, rubbing the back of her head as she spoke, kind of embarressed to seem like she was begging for one of the weapons.

Bren looked at Leona, slightly surprised that anyone had followed him up here. "Erm, I guess. You can have my other shotgun. It'll work for ya. Has 4 shells in it and one in the chamber, so be careful.", he said as he turned around to grab the new weapon. On the stock there were two letters and number pressed into it. "AA12...I guess that's the model. Looks like this is mine now.", he said with a smile. "Oh yeah, there's a bag of shells downstairs too, has about 30 shells in it. Take it too, I have enough ammo here to last me a bit.", he finished as he looked at the boxes.

Each box contained 15 shells, and there were three boxes. "Alright...so that's 45 shells.", Bren muttered as he played with the shotgun until he popped the drum off. "This seems to be full...geeze...", he continued as he counted the shells through the transparent backing. "30 in here. Wow. Looks like I'll be set for a bit. Don't see a pump on it, so it's probably semi-auto...unless it's auto. That would be something...", he finished as he grabbed the pre-war cash and stuff it in his pockets. He put the shells in there as well, as many as he could anyways, and moved back to the elevator. "After you."

Leona smiled a bit more. "Thanks. Any gun's better than this hunk of wood when faced against something like what's outside..." She grabbed up the shotgun. "Yeah, an auto-shotgun would be nice. You picked up something real special if it is." She let out a small laugh. From there she'd decided that she'd stick with him. Even if they were safe from the horde outside, there still might be things hiding around here. Even an 'all clear' in one area might not be completely accurate. She kept the shotgun ready, getting used to the weight of the weapon, aiming it at areas of the room with her index finger settled on the triggerguard(Unless it didn't have one, in which case it would wrap around the stock or grip with the rest of her fingers.) She then noticed Bren moving and followed him as he went to the Elevator. "Alright then." She set the shotgun away, either shoving it between her belt and herself at her back, or setting it at her shoulder depending on wether or not it had a strap to do such with, then grabbed ahold of the wires and started down, assuming they were heading back downstairs to where the ammo was...
