The blush that was previously on her face abruptly removed itself when she finally took a good look at Mabushii. Eyes wet, fresh from tears. Her rare look of concern made it's debut on her face as she leaned in towards the male. Her eyes searching his face for any indication as to why he was crying. Out of all people, she didn't like to see Mabushii upset in any type of way. It's always been like that since she met him. Eyes trailed down his face and made their way onto the picture frame he was holding ever so tightly in his hand. What's got him so emotional now? A picture frame? Yomiko's eyes did not meet Mabushii's, but instead remained locked on the frame. Was everyone in this house having issues tonight or something? Yomiko was going to question him but the boyfriend comment caught her off guard. Wait-- what did he know, Yomiko wondered. Eyes filled with a flash of slight suspicion that was heavily shadowed by concern. Tezuka her boyfriend? Wha? She placed a hand on his shoulder as he wiped the tears from his eyes. Obsidian mascara running down his face, her hand that rested on his shoulder slowly reached up to cup his cheek. Yomiko placed a small smile on her face. "I wouldn't say awful... just a little angry and frustrated....," She told him with a small chuckle before she finally noticed picture, which seemed to have gotten him upset, revealed. "So what's this you got in your hand? Why are you---"
Zanza's yelling interrupted her. The woman frowned visibly. Here she was, previously, crusading for him to get out of the house. "Don't rush him. We were just talking..." Yomiko called down to him, her stomach growled once more. Food. She needed it. "Eh, while you're down there... can you make me a turkey sandwich?"

An exasperated sigh escaped Zanza's lips as Yomiko yelled back at him, hands shaking as he scrunched up his face in a subdued tantrum. "Are you ******** kidding me?" He asked, that little hint of annoyance no longer a hint as he stormed off into the kitchen. "Whatever, fine, just what the ******** ever!" There could be sounds heard as the fridge door opened and closed, followed closely by the muffled sounds of grumbling as curse words could heard every other word as he complained to himself, still going about making a sandwich for Yomiko.
Mabushii huffed loudly, blowing so of his bangs out of his face as he let her hand lightly touch him, bringing the hand he'd used to wipe away the dirty tears to cup over hers as he squeezed it lightly and hugged it to his face. "Oh please. I look dreadful right now...! Don't lie. You get crow's feet if you lie. Err, frown, or whatever! I dunno the term is, but don't lie, okay?" He threw his hands up a little, huffing again as he screwed up the old wives tale. He wasn't really in the mood to be right or wrong, but the more he talked the angrier he was getting at himself. Another sigh, this one drawn out as he looked at her again. "You were asking about the picture, right? Well, here you can punch it if you want to. I don't want to cut myself." Quickly the picture moved from his hands as he held it forward, exposing the smiling and happy face of the man upstairs that had been the origin of all this mess.
He looked younger, arm slung around an older gentleman that seemed to hold distinctly similar features to who his own. He was also smiling, but it was the moment that really made it seem like they were generally having fun: a park-like background with the night sky hovering off in the distance, fireworks going off as the two men shared beer and grinned stupidly at the camera maned by an unknown third person.

Yomiko simply ignored Zanza and his obnoxious cursing. That was the usual thing from him: The string of curses as he did whatever was required of him to do. Nothing new nor surprising, really. Yomiko just rolled her eyes in mock annoyance, all the while as a small smile appeared on her face just in time to hear Mabushii mess up the tale. The look on his face and the semi frustration was kind of adorable in Yomiko's eyes. She slowly removed her hand from his cheek. Her eyes moved over towards the picture to find a happy Tezuka. Confusion flashed in her golden orbs for a moment. This is what had Mabushii all emotional? "Why would I-- Nevermind...," Yomiko smiled weakly, still not understanding the unnecessary reaction Mabushii displayed because of the said picture. Deciding not even to question the male about it, she took the picture from him, tucking it under her arm pit. "But anyway, Tezuka's pretty much calmed down...," A small blush formed on her face and she proceeded to take a couple of steps down the stairs, ever so gradually. "I'm sure you won't be getting anymore tantrums out of him for a while. Maybe not at all anymore..." She told him with a chuckle when she reached the end of the stairs and made her way to the kitchen area. She moved past Zanza just as he finished her sandwhich, finally realizing she couldn't stay too long. She'd been gone for a bit too long. Yomiko placed the picture that she recently obtained on the counter. Her eyes wouldn't even make eye contact with neither of them. "Give that sandwich to Mabushii... I gotta head home...," Yomiko turned on her heel, walking to the front door. "See you two tomorrow, hopefully... maybe... I unno. If y'all need me just call!" She told them, walking out.

Things were quiet in the Matsushima household, a soft hum of activity as the things that were destroyed were having the final touches preformed upon them, mainly sanding and re-painting of the walls and positioning of recently purchased furniture as the main reception area was refurbished with brand new items of leisure. The picture frames that had hung upon the wall as one ascended into the upper level were replaced with simple, but beautiful wooden frames: built for durability and practicality rather than for presence and appearance. Both Tezuka and Zanza could be found working like loud construction workers as they traded insults and laughter while working diligently to repair the damages incurred after Tezuka's little tyrannic explosion of immaturity. They were, healing. A better word could not be found, but wounds were still there between them, a silent acknowledgment that things were to be set straight being enacted quickly after words were spoken to him by Yomiko, who subsequently had accepted him even after his little childish romp.
It was a nice thing, a fresh start of life for him with the addition of something he had desired for far too long. Words weren't the only thing they shared though, other activities being kept hushed before anyone could ask and be told. All that was needed to know was that they were now together and there was little anyone could do to upset him now.
Even though he had become disgusted by him from the act, Mabushii openly supported the two joining, getting excited and giddy like his old self, but refusing to hug Tezuka with a giant smile like he did Yomiko when he was told they were finally together. He knew it was to be, but their stubborn natures and such were always there to impeded any progression until as of late. For now, he was out entertaining children of the Peterson's, twin girls around the late tweens with a knack for getting into trouble wherever they went. He sure had his hands full this time, but that would never stop the Great Mabushii!
At last things were beginning to turn around.

It had been a few days since Neppa and the rest of the group he was now apart of moved to the new location. He simply had to follow, no real choice in the matter if he wanted training. Either way, he had a roof over his head and some possessions of his own, he was content. In his new room, he sat, full lotus, on the floor with his materialized Zanpakutou in his hands in his lap. He was meditating, both with himself and his inner Hollow. There were a few main points of doing this: to learn more about Hollows from one and to try and better himself with using the mask. With his right hand, Neppa moved it to the top left of his head. With an exhale, he pooled energy into his hand and through his arm. A downward drag to the front of his face, not unlike bringing a hood from one's back to cover their head, and the skull like mask formed over his face. The world began to sound a little distorted, yet still clear, and he became more attuned with the minor sounds. Eventually it became unstable, somewhere around a minute and a half, and cracked almost neatly along the vertical center line. It fell in two pieces and vanished before it hit him or the ground. A sigh left his lips as he began the process once again.

The days after moving everyone into his home were what Tezuka would have called controlled chaos, not about to do much about it, but not caring about it one way or the other. They were the closest thing he had to family. Sure, some of them had their quirks, but he could handle that in stride if he really needed to. The only thing that really bothered him was not being there to see much of it or help when someone needed something done. His position within his own company made it hard for him to have a week, or even a few days, alone to himself and his family which was where he currently was. Not home, but wishing he were.
Mabushii was always able to occupy himself with something, tedious or otherwise, when working in home. It was what made his job easy, and even fun at times. He loved what he did either way and being paid to watch Yomi's newest addition was literally a dream job. He wouldn't have taken payment for this job had Tezuka not insisted so fervently that he be paid to watch Ame. She was a darling in her own right.
He smiled to himself, currently vacuuming the carpet upstairs in the hallway that ran through the epicenter of the top level. Delicate hands gently gripped the single until Dyson and he was amazed by how easy it was to operate this piece of cleaning machinery. Would have to get one that could be stowed away in a small part of his car for when he went back to his other charges after this job was over.
His free hand tugged at the cord, letting it slacken before looping a section in his hand to have a little give farther along the hallway. The area he was working on seemed to be a rather troublesome part, hearing the suction of crumbs and other material even after several passes near the opposite end of the 'T' section that split off towards his own room and the collection of smaller rooms that now housed Neppa, Fuyu, and Ame. 'Boys will be boys. Messy...' He sighed lightly at himself and bent forward to adjust the controls to dig deeper and pull out more of the mess, the locks of chestnut he'd let grow back out to about his shoulders slipping effortlessly in front of his view. With a slight whip of his neck they retreated, settling quietly behind his ear after standing back up and tucking them back with a finger.
If Mabushii remembered correctly, Zanza was the last one to vacuum this part of the house before their guests had arrived. He made a mental note to go talk to the Mod-soul after he was done beating the drums, hearing a crash cymbal every once in a while over the dull roar of the Dyson. "Probably left the door open again, silly boy..." He hummed lightly now, moving further down the hallway towards Tezuka's office.

Even with days flying by, Ame just couldn't adjust to this house. Adapting was always a weak thing for her. She had almost been successful while at Yomiko's home, but now that she was in a new area, her efforts seemed useless. A sigh escaped her lips as the little girl sat in the corner of Yomiko's bedroom with arms snugly wrapped tight around her stuffed animal. Lately, Ame had been getting more and more attached to her stuffed animal, barely even letting it out of her sight. It was something that always comforted her in foreign places. However, it still wasn't enough to keep her from being withdrawn.

In the following days since she arrived at Tezu's house, Yomiko hadn't been doing much except for lounging around in Tezu's room, surfing the net, and drawing new material for her webcomic. That's all she could do currently at the moment since she was supposed to be 'so sick'. She had to admit, she felt herself becoming a little weaker as the days went by but that was nothing that she couldn't suck up. Yomiko knew when she was at this point, the feeling weak aspect, it just wasn't one of her 'mini-attacks'. It was the real thing. She didn't bother to inform anyone around the house about it, having the feeling that they were going to baby her even more. Yomiko knew their intentions were good but she didn't want to feel as a burden. This disappointed her greatly.
Yomiko huffed a sigh as she sketched on her drawing pad. The older woman sat next to her daughter, whom seemed to have become a bit withdrawn over the past couple of days. In an odd way, Ame's withdrawal kind of reminded her of herself when she was younger. Her behavior worried Yomiko, she just couldn't see the child unhappy. Placing her pencil down, Yomiko leaned her head against the cool wall deciding she was going to take a break. She was currently taking a break from a rather detailed version of what looked like a courtroom. Several people were in the picture as well, including Ame, who was pointing her finger obnoxiously towards the other side of the courtroom and yelling some obscenities. Her trademark fish was on the side of her, anthropomorphic with a slick suit, acting as her 'counsel'. Mabushii, Neppa, Tezu, Fuyu, Yuji, Angela, and herself was in the picture as well. Yomiko handed the book to Ame, a weak smile gracing her features. "What you do you think of that?"

Of course, she giggled as soon as she saw that drawing. Yomiko was always talented at drawing, just another thing to add on the many reasons why she respected the woman and thought of her as her role model. Ame grinned, breaking her bleak mood. Yomiko always had that effect on her, as did Mabushii and Tezuka. Maybe that's why she chose to be around them the most whenever she could. "Have you been playing too much Phoenix Wright?" She snickered, knowing how much the woman loved that game.

Yomiko couldn't help but chuckle at Ame's comment. She had to admit, she did play Ace Attorney a litttle bit too much over the past two days. When there was nothing on TV, she went back to play the Ace Attorney games. The series was amusing to her, to say the least, even though all you do is read a bunch of texts. Which was fine with Yomiko, she didn't have to do much work. She nudged Ame with her elbow, chuckling slightly before she nodded. "I guess I have. It's a good game, Ame! You can't fault me for playing a good game!" Yomiko told her jokingly before standing up from where she was sitting. Hearing all the noise from the vaccum, Yomiko only assumed it was Mabushii or Zanza. She hoped it wasn't the later, Yomiko didn't feel like going back and forth with the mod soul.
"I'll be right back, okay? Just gonna go downstairs for a bit." She said to Ame, giving her a small smile. She didn't want to leave Ame in the room by herself for various reasons. Maybe, if it were the right person, she could get them to sit in the room with Ame until she got whatever she needed.
Yomiko walked across the room rather slowly Tezu's room. Once she got through Tezu's office, she leaned against the doorframe as if it took alot of energy just to do that little task. Peeping her head around from the frame, she identified Mabushii vacuuming. Just the perfect person. Ame did like Mabushii more than anyone else. Yomiko just watched as Mabushii did his thing, she planned on bothering him after he was done doing whatever.

Mabushii's eyes darted up from his vacuuming, seeing movement. His facial expression didn't change, one of gentle delight being decorated now by a pleasant, closed lip smile as he greeted Yomi. "Oh, yeah, Yomi dear! How're you feeling today?" His eyes narrowed a little giving his face a sort of glow as his neat locks framed it. With a jerk of his head looked back at the vacuum and shut it off, bringing a sense of worry to his features. "I'm sorry, did I wake you up??" His face reddened a little, feeling the warm flush against his cheeks as embarrassment flooded over him. His hand rose up as if to hold her off or stop her, delicate fingers splayed before him. "I am so sorry!" He chuckled lightly afterward, but just stood there.

Yomiko watched Mabushii and his overall reaction to her standing there in the doorway. She didn't shrug off his concern for her, like she normally would've if it had been someone else. Folding her arms against her chest, she continued to lean against the doorframe. She huffed out a small sigh, clearly ignoring the sharp pains in her chest. She knew better than to give Mabushii a distressed look while she was around him. There was no need for him to get overly worried about her. A small smile couldn't help but make it's way on her face as his face turned red in embarrassment. He was just too cute at times. Yomiko shook her head, golden eyes watching his every move. "You didn't disturb me. I've been up with Ame for the last two hours...," She chuckled. "We've been doing a lot of fun stuff. Anyway, I need a little favor from you. Could you... would be able to look after Ame while I go downstairs for a bit. I've... I just don't want to leave her alone by herself. She's been a bit... off. Get what I'm tryin' to say?"

Mabushii's features softened again, the smile magnified by Yomi's proposal. "Oh of course, sweatie!" He said in a delighted tone, turning around to look down the hallway and heading back to unplug the vacuum. He returned shortly thereafter with the bundled up cord in his hand, placing it on an outstretch hook under the Dyson's handle. Next he moved the vacuum into the corner and propped it up with the handle facing the wall and left it there, returning to Yomi with another, smaller smile. He inched closer now, hands sort of testing the air in front of him before letting his arms extend out and around her in a gentle hug, letting her go before she could object at him being that close to her personal space. "It's good to see you up and about at least." His eyes became a little glossy, almost making him seem to be on the verge of tears, but the rest of his body didn't convey any sign of a sudden sob. "If you need anything, medical-wise, don't be afraid to pull me aside. Okay?" He wagged his finger at her with the last part, giving the feeling of a mother trying to cover all her bases before letting her children play outside.

"Yeesss mother...," Yomiko told him teasingly before moving out of his way. She couldn't help but chuckle as she moved into the newly vacuumed hallway. "I'll make sure not to make too much of a mess while I am downstairs, mom." Yomiko patted Mabushii on the shoulder before heading down the hallway. She stuffed her hands in the pockets of her navy pajama bottoms, now feeling a bit of fatigue showering over her. Yomiko was debating on whether she should just turn around and go back into the room or just continue. Her stubborn nature was damned if she was going to play the 'I am soo helpless role'. She made her way down the stairs, slowly, making sure not to trip over any stairs. All was going well, until she got to the fifth bottom-step. Yomiko tripped over her one of the steps, resulting in herself falling down the rest of the stairs. Landing on the floor, on her side, she let out a rather painful wince. "Fuuccckkkk..."

Mabushii nodded at Yomi matter-of-factly and watched her go, turning to go into Tezuka's room when he heard the tumble down the rest of the flight of stairs, followed by a resounding and drawn out curse word. "Oh, that woman's gonna kill herself before the PE does..." He sighed and shook his head, blinking a few times before letting his arms come off their position on his hips and check in on Ame. The girl was being quiet, even by Mabushii's standards, and he had been around a lot of kids in his line of work. He entered the bedroom in a slight stroll, hands at his sides as he drew nearer. Only about a foot away he knelt down in front of Ame and smiled at her. "Why hello there cutie...!" He smiled and tilted his head a little to the right, noting the clingy nature towards the giant stuffed animal and smiled even bigger. "I haven't seen you in forever and we live under the same roof now! What's up with that, hmm?" He let the smile lose some of its boldness, letting his cheeks have a little bit of a rest as he plopped down next to Ame. He threw an arm around her in a half and stared over at the sketchpad still laying on the floor. Leaning forward, he picked it up to examine the first picture and huffed, chuckling at the Phoenix Wright motif and noticed his position in the judge's chair. Hair long like it used to be before he had had it trimmed. "That girl and her love for this silly game, I swear." The arm around Ame jiggled a little bit as he looked over the sketch, giving off the sense of a very lighthearted feeling.
