Jewel remained silent for a while as she thought through what had happened. She gently laid her head against his shoulder, listening to the calm drumming of his heart, as she relaxed. She probably wouldn't be able to sleep much after what happened, she'd been so scared and felt so useless not to mention stupid. Her tears stopped, she looked up at him curiously, hardly wasn't able to see a lion in him, just what appeared to be a normal human being. She touched his face gently, her curious eyes searching, they stopped on his ears, she'd never quite figured out why normal ears fasinated her so much, though to her, hers didn't seem that out of the ordinary. She pulled her hand away to touch her ear, soft, fluffy, and slightly folded over at the tip. The rustle of leaves distracted her, her head flicking in another direction, the world began spinning before she layed it back on Adam's shoulder, she groaned. She felt pain throbing through her head as images of what happed flooded back into her mind. The image of Rashel right before she got hit came back, the anger on that womans face. "What do they want from us? Why do they hate us?"
((Sorry I'm having a hard time thinking of something for Rashel.... I'm just having a mind blank..))

((That's fine. And I'm sorry I couldn't get on for a few weeks. Some things came up.))
He let her touch him. Adam wasn't about to tell her no after everything that happened. Not to meantion she probably didn't know she was doing it. It looked like her head was pretty banged up. He looked at her a bit curiously as she touched his and her ears. What was she thinking about? His head snapped in the direction of the rustle and his arm automatically wrapped arounf Jewel as she came onto his shoulder. It was only a couple of birds flying by. He relaxed and looked back down at Jewel as she asked him the questions he had been wondering for years now. He took a moment to think it over. "I don't know..." he started softly. "I think it's because we're different. Because of that camp." He shuddered at the memory of it. What he could remember of it at least. Ten years of running made his memory foggy, but the pain and smells from the place were still clear to him.

Alisia didn't know what was going on. She had been wondering around aimlessly till she saw two people. She thought she could hide and go without being unseen.

Jewel could feel his eyes one her, she nuzzled up closer to him. Taking in a sharp gasp of shock as his arm went around her, but she slowly realized what was going on and what he was doing. Trying to protect her, she couldn't think of the last time someone actually tried to, well if there was a last time she didn't remember at all. She slowly took his hand, and looked at the twos different sized hands, and smiled. Remembering that she'd asked something and that he had answere, her smile faded, "I don't remember anything about a camp..." she looked up at him, her eyes showed confusion, sadness, and that she was just plain tired. "You can sleep.. Its fine. I can tell that your tired too." her voice semed suddenly distant, she was listening to her surroundings, they kept her so easiy occupied. She noticed someone, sort of hiding, slowly slipping under Adam's arm she crawled over to the newcomer.

He smiled back at her and he could feel a wave of calm wash over him. Adam hadn't felt this calm in a long time. His smile left as she spoke. 'She might have been too young,' he thought closing his eyes for a second after looking into hers. After a minute he felt her crawl out from under his arm and he opened one eye to see where she was going. He didn't want to to get into any more trouble then they already had. He opened both eyes as he realized that there was someone there. It looked like another Halfling perhaps.

Shocked and scared that she had been noticed, Alisia stood still not know what to do. Her brown eyes flashed between the two looking at her. What she didnt realize was that shse was speaking, even though it didnt sound like her own voice. "Who are you?"

Jewel smiled, her blue eyes bright with excitment, she could easily hide other emotions and feeling out when she got happy. "I'm Jewel, and this my... uh.." she didn't really know what he was to her since some didn't like being known as her friend, most would just rather not know her at all.. "This is Adam." she said, still her smile lingered on her face slightly. She'd gotten confused so it had started to fade.

Alisia could find her voice to talk again. She was shaking at the knees, not knowing what was going to happen. She tried to speak, her voice sound horse. "I'm....Alisia. I...I was out walking but then I got lost and...ran into you guys." She paused thinking what to say next, not sure how to explain herself. "People have been looking for me, I didn't know who they were so I took off running." She stood frozen, feeling a creeping feeling on her back.

Jewel smiled again, trying to reassure the girl. "Its ok, they came after us too.." she bent her ear down, and it folded slightly at the tip, tipping her head slightly. Showing how she'd been attacked by one of them, the blood was beginning to seep through the makeshift bandage. She brought her head back up, leaving her ear down, she smiled slightly, even though her eyes didn't show the smile.

Alisia started to speak fast as she got nervous, "I dont even know what they want from me. Im just a human girl, what did I ever do. I heard one of them shout "Get that monster before she figures out the truth about herself".....what did he mean?" She averted her eyes upon the man that was there. She become even more nervous just looking at him.

Adam nodded at his name in the introduction. It didn't seem like now was a good time for him to talk about the camp. The girl would probably get more confused than she was now about the whole thing and then run away. And running wasn't a good option right now with those trackers. As gently as he could, Adam asked, "What is it that you are confused about?" His voiced probably sounded tired and rough, but that wasn't something he couldn't help right now. A lot had happened in the last few hours and he needed to rest.

"I.." She paused, her words getting caught in her throat. "I don't really know. I guess I'm scared and don't know what to do." She started to think, but it hurt her to remember anything, as if she had once been in the same situation before and escaped to be put back in that same place she tried to run from. " I don't know how I got here..." She looked like she was on the verge of crying cause of how frustrated she was getting.

"Hey.. It's ok.." Jewel sighed holding the other girl in a hug, "Adam, is there somewhere close by that you know of where we can stay where they won't be able to find us? Or somewhere thats sheltered would work too.." she asked quietly, still holding loosly to her "If you can find somewhere, I'll watch out while you two sleep.."

Alisia hugged Jewel back and looked up at Adam in silence. Her face had a begging look but only because she wanted to be safe. "I'll be good and I won't say a word of this. I swear."

Adam looked up at the tops of the trees to the sky beyond it. He was trying to think of a place where they could go. "There should be a town up ahead to the west. If we can reach there before sundown I'm sure we can get a room." He looked back down at the two girls. "I can only afford one room though." He had enough money money in his pocket for the room. If he charged the credit card he had, he was sure the Trackers would be able to find them. It was best to make small withdrawls with it.
