Sarek peeked an eye open to look outside, but he knew he wasn't needed to help with the situation, Deitra seemed to have it under control, and he couldn't anything to help anyway, and would just be a nuisance. It was best if he just waited for someone to come for him. He wasn't that skilled in soothing other's mental pains, at least by what he thought. He can heal most physical wounds, but not those that don't leave a mark or a scar, that don't draw blood. By his estimate, his inability to soothe others fears was product of his long life, his mind worked differently than anyone elses.

"What a mess," Deitra sighed, eying Mat as if sizing him up. "Thanks for yelling, by the way. Things might've gotten out of hand if you hadn't," she added, running a hand through her hair distractedly. "I need to head back into town tomorrow morning, so I'm going to get some rest," she continued, heading out the door. She was starting to feel drained, adrenaline quickly wearing off.

Katrina was halfway down the hallway when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned to see Deitra exiting the room, and she hesitated before following the other mutant. For some reason, she felt an attatchment to Deitra. In any case, it might be safer to sleep close to someone else, just in case.

Mat just nodded and leaned against a wall as he watched the two girls walk out. "Man today is just one bummer after another." He grumbled to himself and drained some electricity out of a lightbulb before heading back downstairs, laying down on the floor and looking towards the ceiling.

Deitra noticed Kat following her and grinned. "Come on, I don't mind sharing," she said, inviting the girl into the room she had picked out. It was spacious with a large bed, and Deitra hoped that would keep Kat off the floor for one night.

Katrina quickened her pace and stepped inside the room. She eyed the bed, hesitated, then sat down on the floor. If she should have another seizure during the night, she didn't want to end up clawing Deitra by mistake. "I could go to the store tomorrow and buy some food and cook breakfast," she offered quietly. She still felt guilty and embarrassed over the whole incident, and wanted to make it up to everyone.

"No need, I'm meeting Warren tomorrow afternoon to get some stuff," she replied cheerfully, closing the drapes to block the light of the setting sun. "And you can sleep on the bed, I have ways of protecting myself," she added with a shake of her head.

Katrina looked over at Deitra doubtfully. Still, she reluctantly clambered onto the bed, settling down as far from the other mutant as possible and curling up. Within a minute or two, she passed out, her body welcoming the rest.

Sarek popped an eye open and looked around, guessing that everyone was asleep. Stretching his back to the left, Sarek vaulted out of the seat, landing lightly on his feet. Walking rather quickly but quietly, he avoided any creaks in the floor, before jumping through he doorway and rolling to his feet. Once outside, he took in his surroundings, until he spotted a dead leafless tree not to far from the cottage, or whatever the owner of the domicile wished it classified. Putting his hand up to the poor plant as he reached it, he came to the absolute decision that life no longer flowed through it.
Nodding to himself, he began doing his exercises, in sets of ten, from punches to kicks. His counting became steady, "Ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku, shichi, hachi, ku, juu. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Ein, zwei, drei, vier, funf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn." His language unconsciously flipped after each set of ten, but he didn't truly notice.

Deitra sighed in relief as Kat passed out on the bed. She wasn't tired herself, just drained of all mental energy, and decided to go for a walk before getting some rest herself. Going to the balcony, she shut the door quietly behind her and landed on her feet. She heard muttering in what seemed to be babbling and decided it was Sarek.
"Wonder what he's doing out," she thought, heading towards the noise. She saw the man and then noticed the tree with a frown. "Aw, what happened?" she wondered, crouching next to it and trying not to disturb the man. Touching the trunk gently, she eased her mind into it.

Sarek shook his head as he finished, not tired but knowing he did enough, that was usually how he had to time his work outs, whenever he thought he'd done enough. Putting a hand on the tree, he nodded, give it a quick thank you, before walking further out into the clearing, and began practicing a large combination martial arts, showing a large amount of grace, dexterity, strength, and agility in doing so. In truth that's why he did it, what was the point of being healthy if one didn't work for it? Plus the rigorous, or normally rigorous, exercise was good at emptying his mind. He needed it after the day that had transpired, killing even more men, almost killing an innocent child because he was lending a hand, on accident of course, but death is death, even if it isn't inclined.

Deitra raised an eyebrow at the man's odd behavior, but shrugged. "To each his own," she reminded herself, straightening up and turning to head back towards the house. Rolling her shoulders, she sighed. She wasn't look forward to tomorrow's meeting with Warren, that much she was sure of.

Sarek continued his exercises until dawn, after all, he really didn't need sleep and practicing his routine drill of martial arts wouldn't tire him for days, and even then only slight. Not even sweat had broken across his brow. Stretching, he looked around. The sun had risen, but by his guess, it was only about six to seven in the morning, and he doubted that any of the others were awake by now. Laughing a little to himself, he went back to the dead tree, finding a rather large branch that had fallen earlier. Satisfied, he cut off a bit of the branch about half a foot wide, tall, and long with a blade of light...laser. He was never going to get used to calling it as such... Shrugging, he sat down, leaning against the dead giant, and started scorching a design into it with a solid looking white beam of heat.

( eek Uh, Noj...the tree wasn't dead. She revived it. Only now you killed it.)
Deitra groaned as sun filtered through the heavy shades to wake her up. She sighed when she realized how stiff her body was from using her power so much the previous day and swung her legs over the side of the bed. She noticed Kat was still there as well, curled on the side tightly.
Shaking her head, she wandered into the adjacent bathroom and showered quickly before redressing and braiding her hair. She grabbed a black fedora-like hat to help hide her hair on the way out of the room and headed downstairs.
"Can't leave without making sure they have some food," she thought, seeing Mat on the couch and rolling her eyes. Staring out the window, she smiled in satisfaction as she felt several things begin to take root outside the front porch. "That should hold them over till I get back," she murmured, tiptoeing out the front door and heading for her car.

Not long after Deitra left, Katrina slowly regained consciousness. Despite the comfort the bed provided, she still found herself sore. But she soon found that she could shift again, and trotted out of the room in her favorite cat form. Wonder if anyone would mind if I took a hot bath she thought. Well, Deitra was nowhere to be seen, and Sarek didn't seem to be inside either. And since Mat was still passed out, she figured a half hour or so in the bathroom wouldn't inconvenience anyone.
