It was the second time that the opponent had forced Zeo to his knees, even though he'd managed to help them free Rednal. Red stains at the corner of his mouth showed, along with the other signs of the battle, just how far he'd pushed in order to help stop the monster, but as it lashed at Soji even Zeo was becoming powerless to stop it. "H-hey, hands off him you! He's got a girlfriend!" Zeo shouted, raising a hand and gripping towards the team leader, trying to close the distance even if his legs weren't obeying him. It looked like he was going to be the one to get saved again though, but the sight of strength returning to Soji's body, and severing the arm of their teammate in no way made him upset. 'You call yourself Captain Falcon like this? You don't even wear a costume!' A voice taunted in his head. "Shut up. Stupid three-headed dog thing. The entire fact I model my attacks after a bird is contradictory to my nature!" Zeo said, kind of recognizing his own inner self. And that about summed up the debate, perhaps because simple guys only needed simple reasons. 'Thou art I...and I am tho-'"DUDE, shut UP! I'm kind of busy here!" Zeo shouted at himself, stomping his foot as he forced himself to his feet with renewed strength. Damn, this time it looked like it grabbed Faust, and his girly companion wearing that dress and putting on that make up -oh wait, Faust wasn't quite that bad, but still, if ever there was a dude who was like a damsel in distress that needed rescuing who Zeo would reluctantly help even though it wasn't a babe, he guessed it would never happen! But Faust was his totally just a dude friend, and he would help him just like he always had! "With more punching! Burning Cerberus!" Zeo shouted, charging head-on through the mass-garu spell, smashing his card in hand as his Persona appeared, the roaring, fire-covered hounds of Hell charging forward as Zeo threw a punch, as if the two were connected, striking Faust head on with every ounce of Primal Force in it's primordial body! And if he didn't like it, well then that was okay becausehewasprobablynotwakingupfromthatone....yup, Zeo did it again.Quote: Pimp Mode(Persona Online): Activates his Anti-Shadow form, boosting all stats! Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader, and Rise Kujikawa, Investigation Team Idol If Soji was down, the Investigation Team would find themselves in a suddenly-hopeless situation; that was a likely line of thinking for any of the variety of enemies that had fought and dueled against them in recent weeks, his own power seeming to evolve every time that he needed to call out for it and save his friends. It was becoming second nature to him, to reach out for the true potential of the Fool in the moments of the most absolute darkness, and with its light he pierced the veil of shadows that seemed until those moments to be all-pervasive. He was unquestionably the hero of the story of their journey, but that was as much as misconception as it was truth. He was an instrument as much as he was a chosen one; he was the blade as much as he was wielding one. This was one of the great advantages that he Investigation Team had over their enemies who saw them as a hero and a team of followers...for in their own minds they were a team of heroes, whose power fueled their battles, and if Soji was the one who landed the killing blows most often it was only because he was the incarnation of the strength of their bonds, little more. He believed that, somewhere deep inside of his heart. His friends believed it. And the power of that belief was what fueled them, the turning point in the battles that allowed him to rise above the enemies who acted on their own, acted selfishly, who had abandoned their bonds and gone forward after their own desires to the detriment of all others. Nyarlathotep was just like all the others in that respect, having cast aside any use for others, an inward-thinking creature of chaos that had crawled out of some abominable pit and sought in jealousy and hatred (or so was the thinking of a human, though the reasons of a deity were almost always beyond man's comprehension) to eliminate humanity from the face of the earth, to manipulate them to its own demise, and to laugh, snickering in the end at its own amusing game and the successful destruction of the bonds they held dear. In all its chaotic wisdom it knew, could sense that the source of the greatest power in all its challengers was the possessed form of Soji Seta, and as it crucified him high above the field and away from his friends it could sense that the most imminent threat had been neutralized, allowing it a more suitable playtime with the others. ...Only, it wasn't quite like that at all. Contrary to its expectations, binding their leader had only caused their connection to strength and grow, to steel their determination and with that determination there came a power from the very center of the Investigation Team's heart and soul, erupting like white fireflies across the field and into their bodies, awakening inside of them their own power to ward away the darkness. Even as Nyarlathotep beat them down they rose again, fueled once more by the belief that their leader had in them and by the power that their friendship had given birth to inside of his heart...returned to them now when their need was most dire. In his oldest friends there came from their hearts the power most dear to them, their very own persona manifest upon their skin like a fresh set of armor. Throughout their bodies power coursed, a speed and sight and magic unlike anything they had ever imagined had come into their possession, and in the others it was simply a realization of potential, dormant, sleeping magic which had remained hidden until now pushed to the forefront by his will and their own need. And as the power erupted from their leader he remained bound within the grasp of the creature high above the air, until his head sunk down, chin touching his chest as his eyes shone red but were narrowed almost fully-closed. He looked spent...exhausted...but below him, faintly, he could hear the battle still going on, his friends still fighting.
'Do you want to go on?' a voice inside of his head seemed to ask. His limbs were powerless. His spirit felt suddenly drained at all that he had spent. His mind was foggy and that quiet little voice in the back of his mind was whispering again...not the welcomed aid of Izanami, but that treacherous one that had been hounding him all along. He wriggled but felt his limbs pulled even more tightly, his joints straining as if any minute they could simply snap...the pain was indescribable but all he could really register was the overwhelming exhaustion coming onto his mind, 'I'm so tired of fighting...I'm not the hero everyone thinks I am...' Inside of his head the voice seemed to hiss in laughter, mocking but coaxing, as if asking him to take another look. 'No? Can't you hear them, still?' the voice asked, cajoling, smirking inside of his mind...it made him inexplicably angry, he thought, 'What do you want from me? They can...make it on their own, can't they? They're strong...' His mind argued hopelessly, but then the other voice seemed to grow serious, determined. It wasn't about to let him off the hook. 'They're all waiting on you down there,' the voice challenged, and as he slowly began to force his eyes open and register pain again, he could see the action going on down below...Faust's possessed form fighting back, only to be caught by the crushing strike of Zeo and freed by the snipping of Rednal's green construct scissors. They were still pressing on...they were still fighting. But Nyarlathotep still had strength to spare, it was still all too much, wasn't it? They were fighting, but they were only hanging on by a thread. 'They need your help,' the voice was louder now in his ear, and yet somehow softer, satisfied at the feeling inside of his heart that was slowly rekindling. And somewhere inside of his eyes he was sure that the fire was beginning to grow. 'That's it...' it coaxed more, his limbs beginning to strain again against the bonds that held it fast...his fingers solidifying their grip around his wand even as he stay bound. He couldn't...stop here. He would beat this thing...he could beat this thing. And inside the back of his mind, he could feel the voice smirking widely. His friends were all calling out to him in their minds, desperate to put an end to this fighting once and for all. He could hear their cries, feel their hopes, and their power, their bonds were all seeming to flow through him anew. ...Their voices would not go unanswered.
'Finish what you started...'
It was hard to Rise to keep her attention focused on the actual battle with the way that her boyfriend was being tortured high above the fiendish enemy, high above the Tower itself to the point that he almost looked like a silhouette against the sickly golden moon. She knew that she was supposed to be giving support to the team members still fighting, but her concentration was still split between scanning the Crawling Chaos for whatever weaknesses she could discern amidst that indiscernible mass of wild energy and shattered consciousness and worrying over what would happen if they didn't pull Soji down right away! Her hands were over her mouth as she tried not to scream, her feet rooted to the ground when all she wanted to do was dash forward and tear at that thing's weird appendages with all of her frail might and shout with all her famous passion to give her back her Senpai! But she couldn't...she just couldn't dive headlong into the fight, and she was helpless when he screamed out and his limbs were pulled as though they might give way and kill him, her horror only deepening by the minute when Faust was possessed by the strange creature. There was a voice inside of her head shouting now, doubts creeping in, as though the very presence of this monster in front of her was enough to twist her mind and make her break down all at once, but just when the noise became loud enough that she was sure she would go inside...there was something else inside of her mind. Soft, cooing voices...the first one was familiar, a woman's voice...like her own voice only different. 'Thou art I...' it whispered, and everything else seemed to fade away, even as her eyes remained fixated on Soji in the sky, the energy bursting from him and the shout echoing unheard, fireflies swirling about him with strange power...she could still hear that voice loud and clear, '...and I am thou...' Suddenly, like a gunshot the firefly sprang from Soji's body and pierced her own chest, right through her yellow ribbon, faster than she could react. At first, she wasn't sure if she was supposed to be dead or alive...it was like listening in a vacuum, empty, vast...until finally she heard the other voice. A man's voice...and just the sound of him made her heart fill up with renewed hope. 'I believe in the real you...Rise.' What happened next was like a blur of white and colors, her body lifting from the floor of the tower as a strange power entered her and surrounded her, awakening inside of her heart a strength that she had never known before...couldn't have known was possible, and yet somehow the owner of that voice had known it. And he was calling out to her now, pulling it to the forefront, long black gloves sliding down her arms as a white dress manifested seemingly from nowhere and flowed down her body. Upon her head there was an adornment that was like a tiara, but on the back there was a dish, a needle, not the most fancy of accessories but just what she needed! And when she opened her eyes they were all-white for a moment, her vision clear as though she were seeing everything around her for the very first time. Each of them were cast in a different light, golden and light about Kanji as he seemed to be enduring a similar change, and around Faust there was a faint green mist. Rednal was an intense orange-yellow, Zeo burned hot, flickering with red and blue in equal measure. And Nyarlathotep was black, violet and black, and deep and oppressive and massive as all you would imagine he would be, an overwhelming presence but one that seemed to be...growing just a little bit less, and when Rednal cleaved the tentacle from its body it grew just a little smaller. They were starting to wear on it now! She nearly jumped at the realization, especially when Kanji began to close in on the creature, but it was at that very moment that she once again looked up into the sky towards the one person she wanted to see most...and when she did, in later days she would likely recall this as though she were seeing a god, or some sort of angel, for the very first time. His light was white and brilliant, but inside at the center there were all different colors swirling like an aurora of glorious reds and blues and greens and golds, like God himself had reached down to the earth and snatched up all his colors and then molded them into this swirling, mystical ball of wonder. Her white eyes sparkled and she felt her lips curl into the most brilliant smile, for at the center of the light she could see the outline of her boyfriend still held up there high, bathed in ethereal light, but he was far from beaten. In fact, he seemed more likely to be only just awakening. 'Senpai, you're...' she thought as she watched him, and almost unconsciously at that moment her own brilliant aura (which she could not see, pitiably, though it gleamed a gorgeous, lucid pink like the petals of a ripe cherry blossom) reached out and little waves from underneath the others seemed to reach up in pairs of two and mix themselves together with all the others...and with that mixture of her aura with theirs her allies would begin to feel a refreshment dawning over them, even in the hearts of those who had been sealed away from refreshment, but even as she healed them she seemed only to have eyes for one sight above all.
'Senpai, you're beautiful...'
It wasn't just Rise who had awakened, however, and even as she marveled and unconsciously released her own new powers, the delinquent on the far side of the tower's precipice was already making his own move against the Crawling Chaos that would set into motion the final act. Nyarlathotep hadn't been sitting by idly as the Awakening hit, but when he reached out to strike Kanji he found that the boy's speed had increased drastically. He flashed across the way like a black menace and his weapons were thunder, ripping like a flash through black ooze and white mask, the head of the 'human' body of the chaotic fiend popping high off into the sky like a champagne cork! It sailed high across the field and landed with a thud near the feet of another interest observer, the snake that hadn't moved the whole battle, but impressed as he seemed to be from watching he hadn't moved or stopped smirking for the duration...and only when the head landed and began to writhe and sizzle did he move, bringing his foot down casually atop the skull to crush it into the top of the Tower of Demise where it sizzled and melted into nothingness. And high above all of them, even as the bleached-haired Junior's swing followed through and beheaded the crawling creature, the leader of the Investigation Team felt the long tentacles of the creature loosen ever-so-slightly...and perceived his chance. His wrist twisted against its bonds, wrist grinding against its own sleeve, but it was just enough to turn the blue, glowing wand inside of his palm to aim down not at his enemy...but inward! He grit his teeth as his eyes regained their life, blue power pooling in the center of the wand's circular head, and even though he knew what was coming he couldn't say that it wasn't going to hurt. "Megidolaon!" he choked past the limb that squeezed his neck, and then with an explosion of blue power he felt his body shaken down to the very core by his own incredible power, burns and black soot coating his white jacket...but the intended effect had been achieved, the limbs that had gripping him were sizzling as well, retracting from his body almost instantly, and suddenly vertigo was taking him as he fell from the sky down towards the obsidian tower, the floor not far from where Kanji had stricken down the creature. Twisting his body, he only barely curved and landed feet first upon the hard floor, but even as he did he could feel the ominous presence of their enemy nearby, violently flickering as though Kanji's blow had finally managed to hurt it...but severely managed to piss the thing off. He was wrecked and aching, but as he slammed his wand to the turf to support his feet his sharp eyes from beneath the mask spied the headless body of the many-limbed fiend begin to writhe where it stood, tentacles flapping and flailing and slamming against the top of the tower as its body began to boil and bubble, as though threatening to burst out at the seams! It twitched and seized and its chest and upper body expanded unpredictably...until finally, it all seemed to mass near the top of the chest and the empty space upon its neck where the head should have been. Finding strength in his legs and lungs again, he heard the cry from nearby that he had been dreading and anticipating since he had been freed.
"Kanji-kun, Senpai, look out!" Rise shouted with a sudden foreboding, but even her warning wasn't quite fast enough. From the open, black-spewing neck of the creature there suddenly erupted a whole mass of long, thin, black tentacles like some young kid pulling the end string on a party popper. Flying forward wildly and with a vicious strength, the tentacles his every standing person on the field and sent them flying back and away from its body, crashing against the floor of the tower's top shelf near the far edge of the precipice. Kanji and Soji had received the worst of it, close in proximity to the strike, but even as he hit the Senior rolled back and up to his feet, but before he could reach it his blue wand had slid and fallen over the edge of the tower behind him and out of his reach. He watched with a desperate, forlorn sort of look as it fell, but no sooner had he glanced back than he saw the next evolution of chaos before his very eyes. Its black, 'human' body was ripping to pieces with each passing moment, like a suit of flesh torn as the black tentacles ripped out of every direction and waved about wildly...somewhere in the center of the creature there was a thick mass of ooze not unlike a body, masks still lining the long tendrils and limbs, but there was something different about this form than all the others...something that drew the eyes of the Senior instantly, that told him that whatever this final menace before them was, this was the very last leg of the battle. There, prominent on the black mass of flesh surrounded by the biting, laughing tendrils of ooze that flew all about the top of the Tower wildly, was a thick, wide, white mask with empty black eyes and a wide, thin smile with colored lips like some sort of a court jester or joker.
To Soji, however, all he could see was one giant bullseye. And a moment later, confirmation came in the beautiful voice of their suddenly-elegant and transformed support.
"That mask! That's its weakness!" Rise shouted with unbridled excitement and determination, and if he didn't know better, Soji might have thought she was already on her way to strike the damned thing herself. As it was, she would still lay far back behind...though if the aura he had seen around his allies told him anything, she was acting now as far more than just a scanner. 'This is it, guys! Just a bit more and we can really win!" She cheered, and where he stood Soji reached towards the sheaths of his weapons and drew forth two swords...his secret and special style, the one he had developed and trained personally in secret in anticipation of his match with Hetero (and one which did not go unnoticed by said watcher)...but just as his fingers touched the hilts he could feel a sudden voice inside of his mind chanting out excitedly again! It was urging him, coaxing him along, just a little bit further until the finish! They may have been on their last legs, but so was the Crawling Chaos. Now, they had a chance to end things...really end them...once and for all.
And the thought was all he needed to summon up a power deep inside of him; his twin blades clashed together and scraped along the long, blunt edges of the other and lightning seemed to dance from the tips, or maybe it was just sheer power of a different kind. All about him, the tentacles suddenly whirred into a frenzy and answered by smashing their way down at all of his allies, striking them and forcing them to the dirt, holding them suddenly like giant, black vice grips while it assaulted their minds with an overwhelming mass of chaos! It screamed in their ears, cries of pain, cries of fear, cries of despair! Voices, many voices, too many voices to hear but all of their words seemed to ring clearly inside of their minds, and not all of them unfamiliar...it was a hellish cacophony that could break even the sturdiest of minds, but even as it seemed to reach out and try to claim them, the blue power of the Fool danced along the edges of Soji's blades and suddenly erupted in a blue light that danced across the sky like falling stars and struck the bodies of his allies with a restorative energy, a new strength! And even far below those who had been failing in strength and will felt themselves bolstered all at once by their bond with the Fool, their bonds with one another...Aeon Genesis was the name of the spell, and it had once allowed them all to rise from certain death to live again and complete their tasks in this place, this TV World. And now, it would lift them up above the darkness once more...and set them on the path to an ultimate conclusion.
Black tendrils were practically torn away by the energy that burst forth inside of Soji's allies...as if burned by the very touch of it. But they continued to swirl and redouble themselves for another attack. As they rose, Soji crossed his swords in front of him and another wave of blue power passed over them, reinforcing their spirits yet again with his own magic that was all but spent. ...But he didn't need it anymore. It wouldn't be long now, one way or the other. And as he looked into the white mask of the Crawling Chaos he could feel the end coming closer, hear that voice inside of his mind urging him forward. Two swords, one in each hand...but in reality, they were all as one. His blades, his friends, their personae...their bonds were a strength, a singular power that could strike down any enemy. They had only to take hold of that power and let it do its work.
Soji smirked beneath his mask...and as his greatest foe began to lurch forward, he silently issued a challenge that Nyarlathotep couldn't help but answer.
'Let's finish this..."Quote: Faust has been freed!

Rednal Ak'ThiasThe scream of Nyarlathotep erupted through the area, sinking into Rednal's mind even as it battered his body; the attack of its minion hadn't even scratched Rednal, absorbed as it had been by the light of his ring. This time, however, the terror that the Crawling Chaos was trying to inflict had two things to deal with. The first was the bolstering strength of Soji's Aeon Genesis technique, which was filling Rednal with confidence and certainty. The second was the resurgence of his Persona's full power, and Yidhra erupted out from the depths of his subconscious to combat the invader, taking the terror away and into herself. To the Dream Witch, terrors and nightmares were nothing odd at all, and she returned that Nightmare in full as her manifest form focused. Rednal exhaled just once, then looked to where Rise had called out a weak point. "Then we just need to hit it... Let's see if this will be enough to crack it open!" Rednal took a step forward, then another, then broke out into a run as he headed towards the target, using the light from his ring to create a long pole that he used to launch himself into the air with. That, however, was only the beginning, as power overflowed out of his body and his Persona, following behind, formed an enormous mouth out of her hair and opened it wide. Out of a void where time and space had no meaning erupted something more complex, advanced, and terrifying than ever should have come, and as a missile the size of a freight car soared through the air, Rednal landed on top of it and slammed his hands onto the weapon. Not only riding it, but infusing it with all the power he could focus into the weapon. The power held in his shining gauntlets, the legacy of Sola Invictus, Soji's Aeon Genesis, the ring he was wearing, Yidhra's own madness, the boost from incense past... every iota of power he possessed, all focused into one attack that he was riding straight into the heart of an Eldritch deity. As it neared its destination, Rednal leapt off of the attack... and just in time, as an enormous fireball, a miniature sun called into their world, erupted as the missile detonated... and Rednal went shooting downwards, straight towards a big cushion made of green light. "Finish him!" the boy yelled as he shot downwards. Landing still hurt, but he'd done everything he could; now, it was up to his allies to see if they could follow up and take down the Crawling Chaos. Quote: Rednal's Actions:-Ari Dance (Reduce Attack Power and Accuracy of All Enemies) [Passive] -Youkai's Sight (Detect Resistances of Enemies) [Passive] -Green Power Ring (Increase STR, VIT, MAG, and AGI; Slightly reduce damage; Drain Wind) [Passive] -Regenerate 1 (Recover 2% HP per post) [Passive] -Spell Master (Reduce cost of spells by 50%) [Passive] -Nightmare (Drastically Increase Magic for 3 posts, with a two post cooldown; 1/3) [Reason: Akuma] -Aeon Genesis (Buff; 1/3?) -Mystical Salve (Support from Rise) -Mystical Wave (Support from Rise) -Action: Nuclear Missile (Target: Nyarlathotep) [Severe Nuclear Damage to All Enemies] (Aeon Genesis) (Magic Incense) (Green Power Ring) (Nuclear Boost) (Nuclear Amp) (Nightmare)

Faustus Necromonium, the Trappish Junior And, true to his friends, Faust found the control over him wane almost as quickly as it has started. But at the same time, he felt the tendrils press down on him again, filling his mind with some of his biggest fears. Kusuri, Eo, and all of his friends.... However, not soon after the horrible, mind breaking imagery, he was greeted with a much more pleasant feeling. One...that he remembered from a little over a month ago. Aeon Gensis.... As he was freed, he once again felt the massive power boost from Souji, their leader, and heard the encouragement from Rise herself. So, they were nearing the end..... "Just need to hit it?" Faust called at Rednal's comment, smirking. "I have just the thing. And the figure started forward, moving quick as he could, watching Rednal ride a sort of missle towards the enemy, as he reach deep inside his mind. Several new powers opened themselves to him, and he could feel a pair of them begging to be used. "Take This, Crawling Chaos!" Faust called as he Pointed at the being, as he shone brightly. "Judgement of Light!"
And as he called out the name proudly, the powerful, light elemental spell rang out, striking directly at the white mask of a Target they had to fight against, and went to rock it's world. Quote: [Faust: Judgement of Light-High Light Damage to All enemies: High chance of killing each target. "NO! I don't want to be an 'I've Seen enough Hentai Meme!" It was pretty safe to say that if something was trying to mind-rape Zeo Kirijo, it was probably not going to work out to well. If there were images in the world, ANY images that could disturb the Hell out of such a disturbed mind though, it wasn't hard to figure out what those probably were. Hit to the ground, the metal boy felt himself down for more times in one fight than he could ever remember being hit, but what had him screaming wasn't pain or anger or anything totally lame like that because really he had built up an incredible tolerance to all of those due to all the hits and desks over his head and falls from helicopters and you totally get the point already. It was the images that Nyarlamothingy was stuffing inside of his head right now to torture him, the most horrible, disgusting, vomit-inducing flash frames that could ever possibly be envisioned by a totally straight pimp daddy wannabe android like Zeo TOTALLY was baby AWWW YEAAAH! His teeth grit and lava-like waves vomited out of his mouth as he fought against the tentacles, screaming like a crazy spider monkey with a lit campfire on its tail because really that would be totally crazy wouldn't it? "OH GOD! Gross! DUDE! That is WRONG!" he screamed as the Nyarlamothingy assaulted him with the images. What sort of things were being shown to him, you wonder? Images of his friends being hurt? Babes turning him down when he was 25 and countless memes one day being made about how the android-boy-awesome guy was Forever Alone?! If you answered any of the above you are ALL orphans AND wrong! Except for Kankuro! "I KNEW those two were GAY! But I never wanted to SEE IT!"
Yep, Zeo has issues.
It was about that time that Soji's wave of awesomeness hit him, and for once the goofball android felt himself filling with power and a new sense of seriousness and purpose. Suddenly, the images stopped and the black limbs pinning him were gone, letting the crazy android get back to his feet in a flash, red falcon head still roaring around his fist. Only now, Zeo was actually kind of pissed. "OKAY! You can attack me, you can hit me, you can call me Don Francisco whlie we do it in the Middle of the Street with EVERYBODY watching (if you're a hot babe and not a creepy black tentacle Nyarlamothingy), but I will NEVER, EVER forgive you for what you just made me watch!" Zeo shouted, following the others to jump into the sky, higher than the others with his metallic legs, and pull back his fist, card getting punched at the height of his jump by a Falcon-Punching Fist of JUSTICE! "Thanks for the help Soji-pimp-Bro! But now it's my turn to Help you! BURNING CERBERUS!" he shouted as his persona roared to life over his head, "CHAIN STORM!" A mass of energy formed in his palm and erupted like a lightning bolt down at the tentacle-wavey enemy, but even as it tried ot raise its limbs to block thick chains gripped it and held it in place, protecting the attack from defense as it aimed at the thing's big, white, stupid, ugly, NOT-pimp face! This was his last strike with as much power as he could muster, but it was going to be enough! And all the ladies would be totally impressed and say, "Oh Zeo baby, I want you!" And then he'd do a little of this, and a little of that, and AWWWW YEAAAAAH!
Did I mention this guy has issues?Quote: Pimp Mode(Persona Online): Activates his Anti-Shadow form, boosting all stats! (4/5) Reason of Yosuga: Increases Physical attack! (4/4) Jaungreipir, the Iron Gauntlets of Thor: Constant Power Charge! Zeo's Daidara Metal Skeleton Thing I forget the name of: Divine Pillar, +2 Strength Red Power Ring: Ups my stats whatever Rednal got. When the user is severely injured or near death, their rage will build and begin to change their body. Wearers will then be forced to throw up what appears to be similar to a molten lava, but when they do, their eyes will turn red and their muscles will strengthen, increasing all of their powers by a drastic effect for 5 turns or until the end of the battle. (3/5) Chain Storm: Creates a tornado around the enemy of energy, from which chains emerge to bind one enemy in place and repel outside interference with the bound person for one turn. During that time Zeo collects non-elemental energy in his hands, and fires it at the enemy for Strong Non-Elemental damage. Can only be used [Once] per battle. (Nyarlamothingy)!

(writer trying to make up for absence, bare with meh. ;w; ) Amelia M. HeartillyThere was nothing but pain that flowed over the girl's body, nothing but pure agony scorching right through her muscles and bones. She knew. She knew for sure that she wasn't ready for this but still, she still kept holding the will to keep on fighting. To keep on moving forward, to stay standing even if her legs were shaking where she stood. The attacks from the BM's were merciless, of course Amelia expected no less from them. But she had to keep in mind, their mission was to give Soji enough time, enough for him to stop what it was that was going on in the high tower. Whatever that might be. She felt the undeniable pressure just sinking down onto her shoulders, she felt her energy draining little by little. Yet, despite all that, despite the pressure and the look of doubt and uncertainty... there will be a light at the end of all this. This was what they were all here for, right?! To get to that light! Amelia exhaled out her breath then readied herself, readied her hand to take a hold of the power that was within her. But she couldn't help but just wonder. Just what was happening to Soji? Yukiko, Rise! Those who were at the top, what was it that was happening to them? Were they able to make it after all? Zeo had already gone to back up their leader, but was that enough? The girl's mind screamed at her. Stop! Just stop!! It almost felt as if she was hearing Fulgora snapping to this disgusting doubt that was suddenly growing within her. Hold faith! "Hold on..." Hold on... Then she heard it. That voice. That scream. Awaken... AWAKEN! With a great force from above, so came the sudden rays of red piercing right on through the veterans of the Investigation Team. From Yosuke to Teddie... the girl's eyes widening for a moment that it was an attack meant for harm. But no, she saw no blood spilled on the Tower's floors, saw no face of pain or dread upon their features. Nothing. Wait! She saw it on Chie, she saw it on Yosuke. What was that armor? What was this very form? Amelia's breath left her again when the realization dawned on her. That was the form of their Persona... but... merged with them, merged with their very being to become one! This is... Soji's power! "He's alright!" she suddenly cried out. He's fine! "Go! Go!" She cheered to them, knowing that now a blessing was given to them. It was that moment that a flash of another red started to flutter before her eyes, a light so delecate and warm...yet so very power ...floated in front of her eyes. Orbs of wonderment stared at the butterfly that fluttered from her... and by instinct did her hand reach for it. It called to her. And with a grasp onto the butterfly, she'll take it! In an instant, like a flash, the power seeped from her figners and vanished into her being to flow through her very veins, an overwhelming.... near complete feeling washing through her. Yet it felt...as if she's always had this. It was only sleeping.. hiding away within her mind and now it was released. Lips parted, a calm sigh escaped her... then a grin spread upon her lips. This power! The girl's hand clenched then relaxed, a subtle laugh escaping her as if she couldn't believe this feeling herself. Yes, this is power. Yes... she has it now! And at this moment, as words echoed through her mind, a skill so new, yet she knows so well... She'll finish what has started before. No more, that's enough now! Wash away that doubt, it was never needed it was never wanted! And as Yosuke's powerful wind was caught within her grasp, she knew what she had to do. The hard within her hand burned, it glowed with an awesome power! "Guardian Hammer!" so was the mind's card shattered. So merged the wonderful wind and merciless lightning to fuse into one! And so will it be unleashed!! "Hurricane Riot!!"

Yukiko Amagi It was a horror movie just flashing in front of her eyes. Attack after attack came, leaving the girl almost rendered useless on the ground. Tattered red fabric tainted with a much darker color, a black that almost matched with the noisy and deep thoughts that invaded the heiress’s mind with each second passed. What was this thing? Hope was slipping through her fingers; all the team was heavily wounded, the creature didn’t seem to even react to their numerous attacks, but taunt them by mind controlling part of the team into launch at them, instead. It really was discouraging, and the Amagi heiress felt her heart shrinking inside of her chest, wringing at the sight of the enemy taking hold of their leader, the one who kept them going… and …she wasn’t sure she could continue. Another round of attacks came, on from their own ally, the other, more powerful, by the Crawling Chaos and the girl fell to the ground below, the air being knocked out of her lungs. Her muscles writhed in pain, her sight blurring in and out of consciousness, blood trailing down the deep wounds. She could still listen to Rise’s urging words, but… she couldn’t move. There was no strength left…there…wasn’t…
A crimson blur shot through her heart just then…and everything went a blinding white. A warm feeling wrapped around her, enveloping her chest, her mind; almost like a figure wrapping its arms around her weakened body. ’Thou art I…’ a soft voice whispered, Yukiko finding it extremely familiar as she turned, searching for the one calling. She wasn’t even sure where she was right now, almost as if her mind had detached itself from the body, as she walked around the shining light. She felt confused but lighter, the darkness clouding her mind just a gray spot far away, feeling inexplicably more confident. ‘And I am thou…’ It didn’t take more than that to dissipate all the lingering uneasiness, as a burst of colors surrounded her, eyes opening once more to the battlefield. Air entered her lungs in a gasp as power she hadn’t known she possessed ran through her, Feet left the ground, an unknown force pulling her towards it, a warm flickering flame growing into a burning fire inside of her. In an instant, her ragged red sweater was replaced by a pink and white dress; circling cherry blossom-like blades opened up like fans from a disk on her wrists, surrounding her protectively. This was… “…Konohana Sakuya?”
She saw the other members of the team going through the same transformation, the newly found power managing to get a smile out of the girl. Her strength was back, her mind was clear…And it was all because of him. Determined eyes shifted towards the enemy, catching a glimpse of Kanji dashing towards him faster and way stronger than before, just at the same time as a powerful Megidolaon exploded on Nyarlathotep, the silverette freeing himself, despite the damage taken by the almighty attack. A head rolled, but that wasn’t the end. The creature was enraged it seemed, and within seconds, black tentacles were shooting towards them. The girl suppressed a pained yell as she tried to keep her stance, standing upright once again, only turning to listen to Rise telling them about the weaknesses. “That’s it! Thank you, Rise!” It was in that moment that the enemy morphed once more, revealing even more dark energy. Whispers, screeches, suffering voices…It was maddening. The girl gritted her teeth, her knees faltering under her until a restorative energy washed over her, eyes turning to the silverette. Yes…she couldn’t falter right now. They were almost done…They could do it.
Her hand moved swiftly, pulling out one of the pink blades with easiness, almost as if she had done this times before and it was just a practiced move, before letting it fall before her; it didn’t though, fall heavily like something metallic would, but with the lightness of a feather. As it brushed the ground, the mythical fire bird rose behind her, magnificent wings spreading wide; with a flap, a burst of flames waved towards the black creature. Phoenix Pinion. The name appeared at the front of her mind, almost as if she had forgotten about it before, and was just remembering she had this ability. But whatever the case, she would use all her strength, she would give her all to end this! They will win! Just a little more... a little more...

▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ❛♚⊰ :KANJI TATSUMI.zero x neon YOU MESS WITH THE BULL, YOU GET THE HORNS! This power was just unbelievable! In just one blow Kanji completely beheaded Nyaralthotep with just a swing of his arm. This fusion of human and persona was just awesome, absolutely awesome. He wasn’t the only one who was testing out his new skills though; Rise, Naoto, Yukiko, and Teddie were all upgraded to Soji’s level. Everyone was healed, everyone was now stronger, and the only thing they had on their minds was absolute victory. He wanted to shout out with much energy, but that was going to have to wait. Nyaralthotep began to reform himself after Kanji started to show the b*****d just who was boss. The bleached haired delinquent could only look on with disgust at its transformation, didn’t look like it was going to get any easier; that was until Rise found a solid weakness to the Crawling Chaos. “Hit the mask right? Piece of Cake!” The aura of lightning still covered Kanji’s body, lending him more than enough strength to charge in with everyone else to finish this fight. Again Kanji bolted towards the enemy at sickening speed, his target was the mask, that was the only thing he would be focusing on. As he rushed along the crawling chaos’ tendrils made their way to attack him, along with everyone else; quickly Kanji moved about to avoid, his was like a flash of lightning with each movement. He manage to dodge the tendrils, but that didn’t stop Nyaralthotep to make am ear shattering shriek in Kanji’s subconscious. It was giving Kanji a brain ripping headache, he could see disturbing visions induced by the shriek, Teammates dying, Family tortured and suffering, the world ending in blood. That was enough to make any man cower with fear, but for Kanji that was motivation for him; motivation to make sure that it doesn’t happen. He was going to stop Nyaralthotep if it was the last thing he ever do! “GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HEAD.” he roared as his mighty lightning bolt sword crashed down into Nyaralthotep’s mask. He didn’t know if it was sharp enough to pierce, he didn’t care, one thing was for sure though; it was going to hurt a lot.

Dan Sekohara Dan leapt back again when the alabaster messenger clapped his hands together. He could almost feel the dark power trying to sap him of all his energy. However as Kabuto's spell whipped out across the room hitting its mark on some of Dan's allies the spell flew over his own shoulder and then fizzled out in the arm behind him. That was a lucky break and he couldn't take it for granted, a couple inches to left and he would have probably been sucked into the darkness. As Dan raised his hammer for another charge on the snake a warm light flowed into him. The power was incredible, so full of light and energy, as the light shone on him he could feel the boosts it gave him. His muscles became stronger, his skin hardened, and he could feel his speed increase. "No one cares about your stupid skills!" Dan called angrily, his eyes still burned bright with unattainable heroic energy. The blue card appeared infront of him and Dan shattered it with all his might. "Agneystra!" Above him the Zeus mk 1 raised its lance and from the sky fell meteors which struck down over all of the Messengers and Messiahs. Dan's eyes showed no signs of dimming as the meteor's rained down upon all his enemies with a holy power.

Yoshizo's helmet absorbed much of the impact as Leon's fist cracked violently against his metallic helmet. Gray Fox's armored hand did not release the high frequency blade even as he was knocked back and the knock back caused the skin slicing blade to cut through even more of the young man's stomach. Gray Fox bounded back off of his hand and landed easily on his feet. "You are nothing before the power of shadows." The broken blade called with a grin across his face. The warrior raised his blade and just as he was about to dash in and strike another blow the tick began. Back several feet from Leon, Yoshizo's mind became dominant again and before his protected eyes appeared a frightful image. A young girl was there, burning into his mind ripping through his sanity. ...No! NO! The red eye dimmed slightly with the fear. He could not move as his body was paralyzed by the sudden fear.

Teros looked around as the war around him raged on, his Vamp still incapacitated, Raiden fighting Minori, Kazuma fighting Raiden, the strange new comer playing the field with his spells and the I.teamers even going through a strange power up partway through the battle. This was getting more and more interesting... He watched for a moment as his opponent turned, skewering the fool who had stepped into the battle of titans as a mere man and grinned his beaked grin, watching as both Raiden and Kazuma took a turn on the boy as well. He glared at Raiden and the new comer, a man who seemed familiar... maybe from some comic or something he read, ninjas came to mind, before deciding that he didn't want to deal with either of them alone, and yet they needed to be dealt with... but by who... several candidates rolled through his head as he walked over to vamp, still deep in thought looking up at the man as if to draw inspiration. "Who would be strong enough to fight those two and keep them from bothering me... the person would have to be sturdy... and possibly unkillable... And strong, definitely strong... Do you know anyone vamp?" He asked curiously, looking at the man before shaking his head. "Ah well... wait.. hah! You are unkillable, and strong, perfect! Now to get you down from there..." He starts shifting a blade up and cutting through the limbs of his boss before pulling his torso and legs away from the energy holding him apart, letting the legs reconnect before letting go. "There, now then I'm sure your arms will reconnect fine, juuusst remember who your favorite underling is when promotion time comes around." Teros finished in his guttural voice, energy pooling into his throat as he turned on his original opponent, the slightly familiar new comer in the armor with the katana. "Now then, to fix you up like I fixed the supposed 'toadkiller'" he chokes out through the energy opening his mouth as he releases the almighty blast the cacophonous roar resonating through the area as the wave of energy crashes towards his original opponent and anyone unfortunate enough to be in his way. The yellow ring, still ever present on his finger pulsed as it had every few moment before tendrils of pure fear reaching out to grasp at the minds of those he deemed and opponent. "Lets go partner!!" "And that senpai you were sweet on? Her death was the perfect excuse!" It had been a harsh battle so far, and the scales were definitely tipping in the favor of their enemies. Yosuke had been trying to direct people as much as possible, but when Leon was dealt a severe blow, and Kusuri ended up against that man in the hood, he knew things were going bad. If only he were stronger, if only he were more like his partner! And that's when a light hit him, something he totally didn't see coming. W-was this an attack? D-damn... 'Though art I... The words were the first thing out of place, and with that he noticed that he wasn't pierced, but healing, and suddenly there was a comfortable feeling beside him. The voice that had spoken to him, he recognized from long ago. It was what he had sought after, the thing that he'd pursued that drug everyone into the Television World, it could even be said that everything that happened up to this point was caused by his single desire for that one power. How had he forgotten it so easily? He'd released it when he came to become friends with Soji, and realized the true weight of his guilt about Saki-senpai's death, and it had been the guilt that helped him find a new power, but he'd forgotten one thing along the way. He'd become second fiddle to his friend, and followed him without ever searching for his own true self again. That was it...and now, if he wanted to be worth anything, he needed to find out who he was once more! 'And I am though...Energy poured over his body as the shadow of his lost self appeared before him, and the Senior stuck out his hand without any hesitation to reveal who it was. He knew all along that he had been there, but this time, he had to show him in all his glory, not throw him down into the darkness; after all, there was only one Persona that could represent his desire to be a hero! 'From the sea of thine soul I come! I am Jiraiya the Toad Sage!' The power swirled around Yosuke as the figure turning, and for a glimpse he thought he saw his own face, bearing the armor of Jiraiya reborn. "Look out!!" Yosuke shouted, as a yellow metal covered foot suddenly crashed into Raiden's face, knocking the evil freak away from Minori before he could do more harm. Gone were Yosuke's normal headphones and uniform, and in place was the body of a hero which had fused with his own, the legendary opponent of Orochimaru's own soul binding itself to his! No, really it had been his own all along, but he'd been too blind to see it. Now he understood that, thanks to his Partner...once again, he'd helped to pull Yosuke from the darkness. "What's wrong, you've got a pretty messed up look on your face? Don't you know, the hero always shows up at the last second." The Fusion of Persona and man gave a cocky smirk to Raiden, knowing that there wasn't going to be any love lost in this match. Not this time, this time they were going to finish what they'd started, and the Black Messengers were going to pay for what they'd done to the Konishis, and countless other families in Inaba! "Chie, help me out! Minori, please try to use your support to help the others! Leon, get out of there!" Yosuke asked then ordered respectively, the group getting ready to turn the tide on this battle for a change. Quote: Sage Mode: Increases all stats, and makes them un-reducable! Brave Blade: Severe damage to the enemy! "Ugh...that took FOREVER!!"

Leon Mori
As Leon knocked the grey fox away he cried out in pain again, "GAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!" He fell to one knee, the wounds from his foes pouring blood onto the ground. "Dammit...! Why won't this stop bleeding...?" His reason was about to stop, the mild healing it gave for closing wounds had already stopped, even so, it wouldn't do much against a cut of this magnitude. 'No... I can't... I WON'T' Leon cried out inside, he wasn't going to die here. "Thou art I..." A faint voice rang in his hear, and he felt a surge of power run through his whole body. Not like before though, not like his reason. A healing wave washed over his body, and his wounds were closed. "Thou art I..." The voice called again, louder. "And I am thou... From the Depths of Despair I awaken... I am Razgriz, My raven wings ablaze in majestic light." Leon stood back up, checking his wounds, smiling. "Let's end this!" He called, summoning his ultimate persona, Razgriz. Imbuing himself with a Heat Riser and taking a defensive stance. As Gray Fox stood, the ticking repeating the same horrifying images over and over, his mind searched for the exit. His reforged mind was becoming trapped in the every lengthening maze of neural connections that were still faulty from his time as the toad killer. As the ticking continued the battle raged around him and the broken blade was unable to do anything but watch. Spells whizzed by his head as he stood there, blade held high as though he had been frozen by a medusa mid stride. The fear he was expieriencing was beyond any act that the toad killer had perpetrated on his own. In his mind he watched whithered hands of those he had sacrificed return to him and tore him apart armor plate by armor plate. The red eye focused on Teros as he opened his demonic mouth, he had seen this attack before. Just as the blast of Almighty left Teros' mouth Gray Fox was broken from his fearful trance. The time wasn't enough however and the warrior was barely able to bring his arms up infront of him to mitigate the damage to his core. The pure force of the blast pushed the broken blade back and crushed into his body with a holy strength. As the almighty attack dissipated Gray Fox was able to drop his arms again. Steam was wafting up off the armored warrior as he cooled from the intense explosion of almighty damage.
Yoshizo wasn't out but his armor had been tested in the almighty wave's strength. This wasn't the time to be fighting with the messiahs however, the toads had received a huge power boost and he saw that they would have to knock their foes down. The gray fox's red eye focused on Leon's form, he was getting more powerful... increasing his strength with a skill and taking up a defensive stance. Beneath his helmet the broken blade almost smiled, did he not understand that even with that boost he was much too slow to catch him because he was a warrior of pure speed. In a blur Yoshizo was gone a blur swooping across the area. With his sword held tight; in a blur gray fox approached from behind his foe and brought his sword violently across the young hero's spine. The sword easily cleaved through both bone and skin where it hit but if the warrior could react in time he would be able to avoid the paralyzing slice that crossed his back.

Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader, and Rise Kujikawa, Investigation Team Idol If this was a race, then they were coming down the homestretch now; Nyarlathotep had gone through two transformations and while it didn't seem as though it was getting much weaker, Rise's keen eye told her more than its violent nature was apt to reveal to them. This thing was chaos itself, unwilling and psychologically incapable of backing down or cooling off until the very end, and even though it was clever and devious and all those other things that had allowed it to match wits with Philemon, when it came down to battle it had proven chaotic...adaptable with its mutations and its sharp reactions, taking advantage of the openings that it was given. However, whether it simply didn't view them as a threat in the first place to ever consider backing down, or it was too far gone into madness to know that the tide was turning against it, retreating had never been an option to this thing. Now, the final stretch was come and it was reduced, or rather, changed into this fleshy black mass of limbs and masks and that large, thin, mocking face that it wore on the only mass that wasn't flailing out as though it were going to strike them. Soji and the team had recovered now and his eyes were challenging to the fiend, whether it could see him or not, he knew it could sense him and his confident, sense the certainty and stability inside of his mind when it had gone to such pains to instill chaos in each and every one of the people around him. It had underestimated them, like all the deities in their way before them...taken for granted the indomitable will of the human spirit and now it was staring at its own destruction, the power of the bonds that the Investigation Team held with one another. Now it was suffering, twisting, becoming something unrecognizable compared with what it had once been...and yet similar in its unique ability to be different, to constantly change. For how long it could endure, however, was another matter entirely. And it was a theory that the team was ready to put to the test. Fire flowed through the veins of the six members of the combat team atop the Tower of Demise; their eyes shone with a brilliant light...it was the light of hope rekindled in their hearts and minds. And at the forefront was their leader, their rock, his two swords shining and crackling with blue light...now turned golden as he infused them both with a brilliant, hot power that made them glitter an even brighter yellow than the moon over their heads. He was the perfect contrast to the gloom of the Dark Hour, the destined foil to the dark creature which had broken the rules of existence to combat them on this night. His white robes were stained red but looked all the more majestic when he drew his weapons to his side and let the breeze flow up the back and lift it from his feet. There was a quiet, impregnable pause...a silence in the night air like the great breath before the plunge. It stood to reason that the first to move would be the creature of chaos, the very incarnation of all the evils that had beset the town this last month and a half and nearly lead them all to their destruction. Hatred, power, war, greed, vanity...they all burned somewhere in the center of that black mass and its antithesis stood before it like a pearl spire with mounted weaponry ready to repel her. It surprised no one when that white streak did away with the patience for once and shot across the field with his two golden, flaming swords and spun through the web of tentacles, thicker and more violent than ever, to start the climactic exchange of the War of Chaos.
He was like a whirlwind as he twirled towards the center mass of the thing, the black and white limbs thicker than branches at the densest parts of the Amazon. Rolling over some as they shot to grasp his ankles, there were golden streaks which followed and whirred around his sides and sent steaming chunks of black flesh flipping into the air and splattering onto the floor in bubbling chunks that dissipated once they hit the tower beneath it. His guard had been abandoned, the need for it practically moot for if he stopped long enough to defend one of the strikes he would have been caught by another, and so he wove through them in some places and simply spun and cut his way through others, countless black tendrils flinging this way or that, only to be replaced by new ones springing up moments later...but it wasn't to eliminate the tendrils that Soji was moving forward with such certainly, no, that was but a misconception. He was akin to the snow plow, clearing the road for those who would come in behind him, paving out the smooth path, the golden, smoking, hunks of black flesh hitting the floor in blocks that lay like a yellow brick road for the team that he had brought this far to follow, right behind him, just a little bit longer. And follow they did, in a more impressive fashion than he could have imagined...weaving his way closer to the center of the body, he could see the white face again through the thick curtain of black limbs, and with each hack like through the tall grass in the jungle he could see it growing larger and larger...until the face was finally close enough to reach it! His sword was within range, the black empty eye sockets of the mask were calling out to him, but it was a bit too smooth, a bit too easy, only this time he knew it! He could feel the shadow looming over his head more than he could see it; a rain of black strands smashed down onto the spot where Soji stood with a reckless abandon, crashing into the floor of the Tower with an incredible force! And all signs of the white coat of the Senior were gone for a moment, just long enough for his friends to raise an eyebrow in concern...before a brilliant golden light ripped through the veil in a wide, burning 'X' that tore away the strands and left the path clear for landing! High over the creature he floated now, falling away from the Crawling Chaos with his blue eyes tinged red as he soared through the sky, focused on the mask of the creature that lay before them. He could have attacked it...could have gone in for the finish to ensure that this chance he had created didn't go to waste...but as he had said many times before, this fight wasn't the peril of only one of them, and if it had just been his own efforts that brought them here they would have never survived this long. He would have never survived this long ...He could barely contain the smirk that curled the corner of his lips as Rednal sailed into the opening with his nuclear missile clutched beneath his open palm and dropped into the heart of the thing's mask, exploding in an incredible display of golden hot light, like a small sun melting away black and tossing hunk of the Crawling Chaos in every different direction. But that was only the tip of one hellacious iceberg, as more streaks of various colors shot into the opening that Rise had found, that he had carved open, and with each of their powers united there was a chorus of explosions and a repetition of thunderclaps and bolts of power that sparkled and flashed and set atop the great tower a display of strength as impressive as any it had seen since that day a little over two years ago. And from his spot flying back across the Tower towards the spot where he would soon land upon the obsidian floor, Soji had the best seats in the house.
White light flashed next, like a symbol or some sort of a talisman that burned the fiend at the touch and reduced much of its black mass into nothingness, smoldering remnants of some great and evil thing on the top of this high, twisted tower. Faust's Judgment of Light was a lot like him in its simultaneously fair appearance, white and brilliant and beautiful to look upon, but when aroused it had a power that was intense and terrible, meant for cleansing from the world the dark threats that would beset her and those that it sought to defend. His green hair flowed proudly and for a moment, he seemed much taller and intimidating than he ever had as he stood casting that spell, though no less fair or soft at the same time...in a way it was elven, like a fleeter, freer folk from a long lost time or in fantasies. And his magic was divine in its nature, pushing back the darkness just a little bit longer, just a little bit further, keeping it down for the next wave to come. Here was when Soji crossed his swords over his head and began to gather his power once more, a blue mass which was pure and bright, deep and rich in all its splendor, but even as he summoned every ounce of power inside of him it wasn't quite there, wasn't quite enough...not for the enemy as powerful as it was just now. He had faith that they would make it, though, and with each moment they proved to be a little more capable than he remembered. ...It was a streak of blue over the head of the creature shooting into range just in the space that Soji had vacated, his fist covered in a falcon-head light that belied his tendency to smash that fist into enemies' faces and shatter it upon impact. This time, however, he had opted for a different path and when he rained down his screams, promising to deal the damage that his 'Pimp-Bro' needed, the silverette smirked with absolute confidence that he would live up to his word. Up came the black tendrils to wrap around him but down they were pulled once more by the Chains of his Storm, energy pulling inside of his non-punching fist before he shot it into the center of the fiend and smashed the white mask with an incredible power, cracking the face of Nyarlathotep just a little bit further. It was an attack that was anything but subtle, and in true Zeo style it was noisy, intense, and erupted like blue fire up from the fiend as it smashed and crushed the Crawling Chaos in its wild fashion. He might not score a babe with any of his pick-up lines, but anybody would have been impressed with the way that he had delivered his attack, the confidence in his stroke, and...well, not the landing, as he sailed down from above and seemed to linger just a bit longer than perhaps was necessary in the air. Chances were, he would faceplant. It was just the type of move Zeo would follow such a brilliant attack with. But only Zeo could pull it off without somehow losing face, and in the end, it probably wouldn't even hurt him that badly. Persistence was one of his strongest suits, after all. Just asking any of the ladies in attendance would reveal as much...in a much less cordial, more 'he's a stalker' kind of way.
He could feel his power growing with each passing second, as if the strength that his friends summoned into their own attacks was becoming his own, like their will could become steel and make his even stronger by osmosis, by simply being in their presence, which wasn't as far from the truth as one might have imagined. His blue energy began to circulate and mingle within itself now, pure and clean, and by the time that he was beginning to reach the apex of his power charge he could see two of his oldest friends springing into action...and he could see them in all their new-found glory, clad in shining new armor with a strength inside of them that was new and powerful and entirely their own. This was the fruit of their soul come to bear, the heart of their determination; all he had done was unlock the door, but only they could fully realize what they could do with the power at hand. And realize they had...from the feathers of her gown he saw the beautiful Amagi Heiress pluck a single pinion and hold it over the ground before her with an elegant flick of her wrist. It slipped from her fingers and slid down, dropping like a weighted thing rather than floating as it should have, and for a moment he could see surrounding her an aura of pure red like the fires of Mount Fuji come into a human form, walking upon the Earth. She was beautiful as she stood with her flowing dress and her silken black hair caught up by the wind of her own strength, the way a you'd imagine a goddess in human form ought to look, and when the fires of the reborn phoenix began to climb out of the circle of flame given birth by her feather she looked like the other half of the deity, all wrath and terrible fury that was still just as beautiful but oh-so-treacherous. And even the Crawling Chaos, what tentacles remained trying to block its path couldn't stop the flames that scorched them like rice paper and sent them burning back to the core of the thing, its mask black and burning in different places, eaten away by her fires. But if Yukiko was fury then there were no words to describe the way that Kanji looked, like some sort of a reaper from the underworld and a divine god all at the same time, his armor black like Hades but the bolt in his hands held all the power of Zeus. Like a flash he moved through the path that had been cleared by his friends but he hardly noticed them, that rage which characterized his fighting style pushing him to notice little else but the enemy save the need to protect his friends. It had touched his mind and tried to tamper with his feelings again, teasing him and cajoling him in a way that he had thought he was done with when the bathhouse incident was finished last year. From where he was in his trajectory Soji couldn't help but think that doing this had been a mistake...because if there was one thing that was worse than having to deal with Kanji in any sort of fight, it was dealing with an angry Kanji in a fight where the lives of his friends were on the line. And when he moved his shadow loomed over the greatest of all shadows here in this wretched place, the incarnation of the dark realm of the human subconscious, his bolt crackling with brilliant lightning that struck down out of the sky. Even if it had tentacles left to defend against the strike it wouldn't have saved it; Nyarlathotep's mask cracked right down the middle, in a spider-web pattern, little flakes chipping away as the bolt crashed down into it and forced it back into the body/head/mass of the thing...and by all rights the assault should have ended things right there.
But this was no rudimentary threat, no shadow that knew when it was beaten and sizzled away into dust. The Crawling Chaos lingered on the precipice of the End and knew that it was nearly beaten, that it was beaten, and still from the mass of its strange body there shot out a wave of pure hatred, like physical force without a limb to strike them, knocking each of the team that had rushed him back but not off their feet, dealing great damage but not great enough. His teammates had done their part now, the Senior thought, as his feet touched the top of the highest sharp pillar of the tower and caught him there with an impossible agility. His blue, crackling spell of pure cleansing power stood stark in contrast to the golden moon and a dim ending against the sickly green sky over their heads. His mask was cracked in two but their enemies was cracked forever. Nyarlathotep bubbled and writhed as it tried to shift or change, but as Soji's two swords lowered the power that danced at the ends of it had become too strong, it had grown too great. Finally, after all the time and all the fighting, his trump card had been given rise.
"Do it now, Senpai!" he could hear Rise's voice out loud and inside his head. His lips curled...he didn't need to be told twice.
"Myriad Truths!"
It lowered like a hammerstroke from God, or maybe it was like the thunderbolt of Olympus. Descending from the sky the blue ball of power and light didn't even seem to be moving swiftly, or maybe it was just everything else which seemed to be in slow motion. It fell upon the blackness even as it writhed and fought to escape it, all its defenses and long limbs blow and burned and cut and smashed away by his friends, his allies, so that there was nothing left between the heart of the Crawling Chaos and the cleansing light of the Truth...that humanity wasn't so easily corrupted, that men were more than gods like Nyarlathotep could imagine, or simply that when juxtaposed against one another, the dark would never snuff out the light entirely. And then it hit, the squeal of the creature primordial, primeval, like some screaming, writhing menace that had been cast into the furnace to die a slow death, only all at once it felt the pain and agony of a thousand years...it was darkness being cleansed, hurt being healed, but there was nothing left inside of Nyarlathotep to be restored, no former glory to behold. It twisted and burned the black thing like gelatin in a frying pan, bubbling and pained within the blue light until suddenly...like the light had over come...it was banished entirely from sight!
...It was only a moment later that the world, for each of the six, went dark...
----------------------- Kanji Tatsumi
Kanji's eyes opened when the sound of a nearby machine hammering away caught his attention. It was a sound he had heard a million times, but never had he heard it in his bedroom. Upon his back he lay, shifting his head to the side in a sort of groggy haze...only to feel a sudden surprise upon him at what he saw! There, in a white shirt and very little else, was the beautiful figure of none other than his girlfriend, Naoto Shirogane, and her skilled fingers slid along a piece of cloth through what looked like a personalized sewing machine, knitting together some small piece of clothing that he couldn't quite identify. He had never worn something like that before, he surmised, but still couldn't place it. Besides, he was too busy being shocked down to his guts by the fact that a scantily-clad Naoto was two feet from him in this softly lit room. And when he woke and looked in her direction her cheeks pinkened slightly, as though one who had been caught doing something they shouldn't have, but rather than hide or move away she offered him a small but gorgeous smile. He could see the blue strands of her hair freed from the blue hat that normally adorned it and it was beautiful. She called out to him softly, not in any sexual connotation, but altogether intimate. It was the way that you spoke to someone when you were in love.
'Kanji-ku...forgive me, I mean. Kanji. Would you help me?' she asked softly, glancing towards the machine sheepishly, 'I had...hoped not to wake you. You've been working so hard lately. But I appear to lack the same skills that you possess with this machine. And I was hoping to finish this before we visited your mother.' She hadn't even mocked him about his skill with the machine...she wanted his help? It was hard for him to imagine this situation even in his wildest dreams...but like a moth towards the flame he was drawn, sliding off the bed in spite of his confusion to look over her shoulder and bring his hands over hers, slowly guiding them along the press though he was more concentrated at the soft feel of her hands...and the way she seemed to actually be nuzzling into him as he helped her. Suddenly, he felt a creeping urge to see what it was being made...in fact, he couldn't suppress it, he had to know! And so he asked her...and the answer was enough to knock his groggy mind into the next world.
'No chance. You know you're not supposed to look before the wedding,' she looked up at him slyly, cute and beautiful all at the same time, her eyes sparkling with love as she spoke the words. His mouth suddenly went dry when he noticed the color of the material she was weaving...all white and lace and frills and instantly he knew what it was that she was working on.
It was a wedding dress...
---------------------------------------------------- Zeo Kirijo
'Mr. Kirijo! Mr. Kirijo! Is it true that you went 12-for-12 with the Maxim Model Cover girls this year?'
There were plenty of flashing bulbs and beautiful people on the red carpet as the blue-haired android made his way slowly down the path towards the large theater. He didn't exactly remember how he had gotten there but he was having far too much fun to care. On either side of him there were beautiful women who clung to his arm as though he were the hottest thing since sliced bread. And judging by the fact that his face was plastered all over the posters around the area and his name was leading on the marquee overhead, it wasn't a total stretch to say that he was. His suit was white and blue, fancy and elegant, all the fine style expected of a member of the Kirijo Group. Reporters were clamoring to get a shot of him and women were at either side of the rope practically begging him to shake their hands, to kiss him, to sign their breasts or in some cases, to even have their babies. Yes, all seemed perfectly brilliant for the would be pimp...in fact, you couldn't even call him that anymore without being branded a liar. Zeo Kirijo was without a doubt, the biggest pimp-daddy of them all.
"Yes and no, babe," he said automatically, as though rehearsing from a script, "no because March and I had a scheduling conflict, but yes because the Christmas issue was twins. Any other questions?" He smiled brilliantly and the ladies swooned. On either side of him were reporting things such as how handsome he was, how successful he was, but what caught his ears in particular were the rumors. 'Zeo Kirijo continues his rise to fame starring in the year's top action film, 'The Zeonator', which is expected to gross over 500 million dollars worldwide. The question on everyone else's mind, however, is still this...will he or won't he get back together with his longtime beau and adoptive sister, Japanese Bombshell Actress Mitsuru Kirijo? Only time well tell...but the word on the street is that when he's done having fun, she'll still be there waiting for him. And all I can say is...wow, that guy's cool!' The world's best playboy turned his head as one particularly fetching reporter glanced at her notes, and then looked him in the eye. 'Tell me, with your luxurious lifestyle, do you ever lose sleep? "I'm prepared to lose a few hours with you." The girl paused, then winked vivaciously, as the hottest thing since napalm walked by with absolute confidence.
------------------------------- Faust Necromonium
'Give me a Y!' his eyes opened at the sound of a cheer, bright light immediately assaulting his senses as he looked out painfully into the blue sky and the green grass...it was light on the soccer field of the Yasogami High School club facility, but it must have been a little bit later than usual as it was dipping slowly but surely into the distance. Before him there were no soccer players, however, only a crowd of girls in uniforms that were familiar to him; he wasn't wearing one himself but he had at one time, though he had eventually grown content with just being around it, watching, playing around with it occasionally as he was sometimes wont to do. He had no insecurities about who he was now...he could see on the far side of the field some of the bullies who used to pick on him walking along and he didn't even feel his stomach clench in anticipation. 'Give me an A!' he could hear the cheers continuing, asking for any number of letters, but Faust wasn't really paying attention to them. He watched politely for reasons he wasn't completely certain about, but it was only when the cheer was finished and he found himself standing and clapping that he knew that he was here watching a practice for some reason...or was it someone? His eye raised slightly as a small, pink-haired girl made her way across the field and beamed at him cutely, folding her arms behind her back as she tilted her head.
'Fausty-kun! Did you bring Yuno her drink? Yuno is really thirsty,' she beamed brightly, and though he didn't immediately know why he lifted his hand and there inside of it was a drink that made her beam all the brighter. She took it graciously with a thank you and began to drink, but Faust's eyes drifted from her lips after a moment to her neck and he could see her perspiring...a sight which should have worried him only it...didn't. He seemed mesmerized by that patch of skin, pale and slick and smooth, but it was only after a few moments that he realized he had been staring and it was a moment too late. Her perceptive grin caught him by surprise and sent his cheeks aflame, an uneasy laugh and an explanation jumping to him when her voice cut him off playfully. 'Yuno didn't know Faust was so forward,' she teased as she handed him the can back and closed her eyes in the biggest, widest smile she could muster...only this one wasn't forced or false like some of the others, nor was she giving it to Rednal like he was used to after so long...this was for him and him alone, 'Fausty-kun is going to have to wait until he and Yuno are married for that sort of thing.'
She smiled and he choked, stepping back for a moment and only earning a confused smile that melted into playful. Yuno shrugged after a moment and started dashing off towards the edge of the field, waving with her arm for him to follow...and there at the end of his sight he suddenly saw them. Yuno running away and there to greet her, hand-in-hand, were both Eoria and Kusuri...an complete Kusuri, without her scars...and they were all there waiting for him with a smile on their face.
'Come on! We're waiting...' they called out to him brightly, 'Let's go home...'
---------------------------------------------------- Rednal Ak'Thias
And...there it was. Whew, that took a while. Rednal was pouring sweat from head-to-toe, but nothing was quite so fulfilling as a long day's work. He couldn't remember exactly what it was that he was working on, but as he had finished with the last brick of the foundation of this wide building together with his father he was sure that it was all getting done for a good cause. Probably a school or a nursery or something, maybe even a hospital...he really would have to ask his dad later about all this. For now though, a towel would be nice to wipe the sweat from his brow. It was a miracle that he hadn't had a heart issue from this whole thing. Wasn't he not supposed to work for extended stretches like this? ...Well, whatever the reason he felt fantastic if only a bit exhausted. Moving over towards the cooler he could see the smile on his father's face as he pulled out a drink and handed it to his son, Rednal turning around to look at what they had done together with satisfaction. Construction hadn't always been his dream or anything, but there were merits to taking over the family business at the young age of 22. His father had become his own employee for one. That was a plus. For two, he made enough money to support his growing family and could decide his own hours. He didn't even have to come to work today, but in the end, Aselia had asked him to go. She said that she and Kanade were going to have a surprise waiting for him when he got back.
That was something worth going to work for if ever there was one.
And now the day was done, the foundation put together and his feet were carrying him slowly through the streets of Inaba, the streets of the town that he had grown to love...the town that he with the power of the World and his close friends had protected from Hetero. He still remembered striking the final blow in the battle...coming home to Aselia and Kanade afterward, proposing to the both of them and making their marriage official. They were a family now, but they were always willing to expand. Every so often Keira came by, more beautiful and outgoing than ever, not the scarred, broken girl that Rednal had saved all those years ago. She was fine now...if not perfect. And he had been a big part of that recovery, too. She wouldn't be there tonight though, he was sure of it. He saw the Amagi Inn shrink into the distance and wondered how Yukiko was doing, if she and Soji and Rise were getting along together wherever they were...but that wasn't really his concern either as he came loser to his home, finally reaching the door with his breath about ready to give.
He took a deep breath and thought about what they had waiting for him inside. It must have been good to take all day to prepare. And then, with a soft smile and anticipation, he reached for the handle...
----------------------------------- Yukiko Amagi
It was quiet out tonight, the steam from the bath rising all around her as she looked up at the beautiful moon high above her in the sky. It was luminous and bright, the stars shimmering all around it like a backlit canopy with holes punched through it. Warm water lapped at her body as she crossed her arms over her chest and the towel that separated her from the cool breeze blowing along. Tonight was just...perfect, she thought. Her aides had talked her into letting her aging mother run the Inn for a night...her own mother had practically forced her into a night off, swearing that her old fingers were fine and that the Inn had 'survived enough nights when you were in diapers and I was running it, and it would certainly endure one night with her behind the desk again'. How could she argue with that logic? She smiled and giggled as she thought about how she had spent her night until now. Soft covers, scented candles, beautiful music, all serving to put her into a lovely and relaxed state that had lead her to want nothing more than a warm bath alone in the springs to ease away the last lingering traces of her daily grind. And...she was sure that her mother could forgive her for putting up the 'Out of Order' sign for an hour or so after all the work she had gone through to make her relax, right?
It was with that lighthearted thought in mind that the door slid open anyway, but startled as she should have been, she didn't even look back to see who might have been there. Soft footsteps padded across the stone in the onsen and neared the pool, her lips curling into a soft smile as the water gave way to a body not so far behind her, obscured by the steam. Glancing back over her shoulder, she couldn't see through the mist at who it might have been. But when she felt long arms wrap around her and pull her against a rigid chest, a pointed chin resting upon her shoulders, she knew that touch better than she knew her own name. It was those long, lithe fingers that she loved more than anything, knowing the cares that they had, the burdens they had carried for her, the future that they had carved out...and the thin little band around the ring finger that made her heart warm. She leaned back into the hug and heard a whisper. 'He's sleeping, you know,' came the voice, thick and low and full of promise...and then there were lips against her cheek to back it, 'Amagi-san said she would keep her eye on him all night.' He held her a little tighter and she was sure she was in heaven. Everything about this was right, perfect. Wait, but who was it that he was talking about?
She wasn't sure if she voiced the question or he had read her mind, but with a look over her shoulder she could see the quizzical glance in those clouded orbs beneath silver hair...full of love and promise and all the warmth that made her love him.
'Minato,' he beamed, kissing her cheek, 'our son.'
---------------------------------------- Rise Kujikawa
It had been a lovely ceremony, all swans and white lace and flowers floating along the air, cherry blossoms falling from the sky as she beamed brightly out at all her adoring followers. Some of them cried while others cheered wildly, the line of guests leading all the way back into the streets before the church where some of them had to be turned away by security because there simply wasn't enough room and it was already a fire hazard. Opening their ceremony to all the fans hasn't been such a good idea, maybe, but they always did their best to put their best face forward for everyone who asked them. Ever since she had returned to the entertainment industry it had been like this, the 'Risette Fever' had swept Japan by storm and now, on the heels of her second straight #1 Album, she was the hottest acting property this side of Hollywood! And she had turned down an offer for a role over there not so very long ago due to a scheduling conflict. It was this weekend, in fact, that shooting was set to begin filming, and the date couldn't be moved. It was really a shame, she thought, but there was nothing could be done. She wouldn't have missed this for all the fame and fortune in the world.
Today was the day that she married her longtime boyfriend, Japan's formerly most-eligible bachelor, and star of the reality-TV sensation 'Iron Cook Inaba'...the one and only Chef Soji Seta.
Flashbulbs weren't permitted inside the church, but some got in anyway. She didn't care. She was beaming when she walked down the aisle, she was beaming when she greeted the fans and the press before the ceremony, and she was beaming at the reception when she announced that Soji would be playing a small role in her next movie so that he would be coming with her on the road. Her fans were devastated, sure, but hey, a girl was entitled to her happiness. And nothing made her happier than this moment, not even those days gone by when they had played together at Marukyu and fought together to defeat Izanami. Those were all in the past, however, fond and not-so-fond memories of their childhood together, far off in the past. They had grown up since then, together. And one day they were going to grow old together, too. She was certain...and she didn't need some vows to tell her that much (though she cried when she heard them anyway).
She knew it in her heart as they walked down the stairs of the church, rice flying into the air all about them. They were meant to be together all along...
---------------------------------------- Soji Seta
"You can't tempt me," his voice pierced a veil of utter dark, suddenly sharp and stern, as though he could see in this place where there was nothing. He was floating endlessly in this darkness, no longer a fusion between personae but simply himself, silver hair and black clothes, but in his mind he could still feel the presence of his strength coursing through his body. They could show him an illusion, but there was too much strength in his mind, too much bright and good to be corrupted by the chaos. Not when he was already beaten...nothing but a spirit with muted potency. "You've already lost..."
'I can't tempt you,' a deep voice like a hiss suddenly answered, arrogant and haughty, laughing at them but bitter all at once, 'but I can take your friends...they are not as strong as you are. One of them will given in...one of them will accept what I offer.' It hissed and laughed, echoing in the dark all around him. But Soji only smiled in return, confident...he knew his friends well.
"You're underestimating them again," he answered without missing a beat, smiling as he closed his eyes, "There's more to them than you think."
His only answer was a hiss of resounding laughter and a parting message.
'We'll see,' he hissed sharply, 'Humanity will always lead itself to destruction.' And then finally...

To defeat Nyarlathotep entirely, the final blow cannot be dealt with fists or magic or any physical weapon. To neutralize the spirit of Nyarlathotep, it must be denied a new human host! To resist the temptation, the lure of the darkness that the Crawling Chaos, its enemies are faced with an offer, black promises suddenly made real before their eyes.
To accept this false reality is to accept the Temptation of Nyarlathotep and succumb to the poison in his words.
To reject it is to deny his power and deny his very place inside of you, the dark temptations of your subconscious.
But given a world where all that you desire is suddenly yours...could you reject the offer?
Can you resist temptation? Quote: The Final Battle! Make your choice!
-Remain in the paradise of the illusory world... -Notice (and post noticing) the false promise for what it is and reject it!
