I am not sure.
*Looks in Rosenkrantz and Ledlin's direction*
Is this a once a week post RP?
Are we putting the breaks on of Eiko?

Actually, we're on hold cuz' I'm trying not to become a zombie to the online world (AKA: Ton of projects IRL piled up that need tending to). I'll attempt to keep up as best I can, everyone! Please bear with me!

I'll attempt to keep up as best I can, everyone! Please bear with me! It's alright. Reality beckons, and its hard to ignore its call. Anyway, I edited poor Ellie's profile slightly. I removed "Shadowmeld" and replaced it with "Hypnosis," another ability commonly attributed to vampires and one that will surely come in handy. I used it in my last post.

Gorenza Oh great...know you have hypnosis. Now you can just take what you want. Only if I'm successful. razz Honestly, I hadn't counted on Eben figuring out Ellie's true identity so quickly. Even if he doesn't know she's a vampire, he does know she's not human, and that makes him a huge threat. I had to figure out some way for her to protect herself. That being said, all she can do is make people think what she wants them to think and, in rare instances, do what she wants them to do. However, she can't feed on them while they're hypnotized. That would break the spell.

Am I to understand that a roll of 2-8 is possible success for your soul abilities?
He's something fun to think about. If Eben ever attempted to tell anyone what he saw.
: People would assume he was delirious. 1) he had been noticeably sick. 2) He was in possession of a pill which could cause paranoia. Should the pill left on the sink go missing he would lose a lot of credibility.
Judging from his actions it seems he is not the slight bit panicked. Shows no need to cause a alarm.
Good to know that hypnosis has variable success rate. That she cannot feed while casting people under her spell.
Does causing people to think what you want include mild or manic delusions?
Since Eben is a player character how does Ellie's ability work? Do I make a roll? Do I attempt Diehard at the moment I feel my mind being invaded?
I can think of numerous interesting out comes that could come out of this situation.

I know that. Ellie does not. Gorenza Does causing people to think what you want include mild or manic delusions? A delusion, in everyday language, is a fixed belief that is either false, fanciful, or derived from deception. So yes, Ellie can cause delusions. However, she cannot create illusions. Not yet, any. Creating illusions involves more than altering a subject's thought process. It involves altering their sensory perception, as well. Gorenza Since Eben is a player character how does Ellie's ability work? Do I make a roll? Do I attempt Diehard at the moment I feel my mind being invaded? I can think of numerous interesting out comes that could come out of this situation. All I know is that the lower the roll is, the higher the success rate is. Since I rolled a 5, I should be moderately successful. If you want Eben to resist Ellie's hypnosis, you'll have to ask Rosenkrantz how you should go about it.

sorry all, I also have IRL crap to deal with. The owner of the apartment came by and saying "he wasn't happy" is an understatement. I have a buttload of work to deal with!! I will try to poast some more, I'm just really tired from working outside and when I'm done I just pretty much veg-out in front of the TV.

NoLifeKing66 You know that. I know that. Ellie does not. Quite right. However I thought I would express that options existed. Rather then changing your characters abilities in order be better suited or to handle the situation. Ellie would still have her fears just a diffrent level of control. Some of the other characters would have to shoulder burden which the situation created. I can understand why you would what some control over the situation. Gorenza Does causing people to think what you want include mild or manic delusions? Not yet, any. Creating illusions involves more than altering a subject's thought process. It involves altering their sensory perception, as well. So she can control what you thought was happening leading up to a situation. Has no control on what you see happening at that moment. Wouldn't she be able to effect what you think is happening at a particular moment. For example: A man is handing you a piece of mail. You believe it's a bomb even though it looks like a letter. None of your sensory perceptions have been changed. Simply what you think the item is. Would this hypnosis process be capable of causing amnesia? I hoped Rosen would see this message and have an answer. I assumed a higher score in your stats would allow you a wider range of success. I do believe your right lower scores to have a higher success rate.

Alright, I didn't plan for you guys to use your abilities on OTHER PLAYERS! O.o
Here's how it goes, unless "Ellie" rolls a 2 (Natural Critical), anyone against her can roll a defence roll, for mind control things like this, I would say roll under your soul stat. If you succeed, you don't believe what she's trying to plant in your mind and Ellie ends up blowing even more of her cover. If you roll too high, you lose, and the memory she gave you is the one you believe. Every now and then (With good reason to, not just cuz') you can roll a memory check (Roll your Mind Stat) and logically sort out the real memory from the fake, but you should only do this if the situation arises that your character questions the memory.
BUT for this instance, Ebon will be given an advantage seeing that he should expect odd behaviours from Ellie so I'll judge if he succeeds a defence based on that.
And next time, NoLifeKing? TELL ME BEFORE YOU CHANGE YOUR CHARACTER SHEET!!! BEFORE!! Send me a note, that's what the PM system is for, then I can judge if it is good for the game or not. I had to deal with a GM changing his character mid-game and it ticked us (the players) off royally! Alright? And that goes for everyone.
Thank you.

Oh my! I was certain you where going to out roll me Vince. ... Well I kind of like the way I have it written so I don't feel a need to make any changes. It really didn't matter to me what happened one way or another. It was the chance to fight that really interested me.

I can understand why you would what some control over the situation. I don't want you to think I'm changing her abilities simply to gain some small measure of control over a situation. Honestly, I'd been considering it this entire time. I thought that hypnosis would be more useful and appropriate for Ellie. I don't like making last-minute changes, but Eben forced my hand. Gorenza NoLifeKing66 Gorenza Does causing people to think what you want include mild or manic delusions? A delusion, in everyday language, is a fixed belief that is either false, fanciful, or derived from deception. So yes, Ellie can cause delusions. However, she cannot create illusions. Not yet, any. None of your sensory perceptions have been changed. Simply what you think the item is. Would this hypnosis process be capable of causing amnesia? When Ellie's hypnotic suggestions are successful (that is, when the subject is no longer resisting said suggestions), the subject thinks exactly what Ellie wants them to think. In order to reinforce the suggestions, new memories are created and existing memories are altered, but not lost. When something happens that contradicts these new or altered memories, the spell may be broken. If that happens, then the suggestion will wear off. Rosenkrantz Alright, I didn't plan for you guys to use your abilities on OTHER PLAYERS! O.o You should have planned ahead, especially after allowing a vampire into the mix. We haven't heard back form Rosenkranz as to what "image", or scene had been bothering him. I wonder if that's a bad sign.

Both instances with the "Blood" poring out of the body was equally distrubing, thank you.
Just a heads up, summer break is almost over, and I have a train crash of things coming up so updating on the guild RPs may not happen as often as some of you would like. I apologize, but that's how things are going.

The apartment complex sale is pretty much over with. The new owners are coming out this week and the complex needs to be sparkling. So for this week if I get to post at all will be lucky...sorry everyone...I will try to post if I have time (or energy).
