Back down the hall and in the wings the boards weren't in as good a shape as they were where others were conversing (if it could be called that). Russel had chosen one of the worse places in the theater to take a nap.
Beneath his piled-curtain bed, the floorboards began to crack underneath his weight.
Below him was a rather sudden drop to the stage in the main part of the building.

Russel didn't notice.
He had been dead tired and just wanted to sleep so he was going that!

He'd be getting a rude awakening soon enough. With a final dry crunch, the floor gave way. At least Russel had stage curtains to land on, though.
And then the music began again.

There was a lot of screaming as Russel woke to find himself plummeting ground wards wrapped in the thick velvet curtains.

Moving with the girl both tim and dew both made there way to the spectacle. “i would not express an undue concern , miss. This is an old building that has not been maintained , most likely the floor was just rooting.”
