She perked up at his name. It was familiar she had heard of strange orders before. He did smell diffrent then most humans although she knew he wasn't another dragon."I prefer Rae if you get tired of saying the whole name all the time." Rae laughed,"Actually technically you were there is only one of you there was more then one of them... not to say you couldn't take them all yourself but you were outnumbered." Rae seemed smug about herself not fearing this individual at all. She had nothing to fear of a two legged anyways. Yeah sure there had been ones to defeat drgaons Rae was not the ne to stay in a fight that she knew was losing. Flying was a better option. Not that she had ever gotten close to losing a fight.
Nvira chuckled,"She has a point. Only she missed thta there was two of us three counting her...still making her right though."She could feel his anstyness on fighting her,"Why do you wish to fight her?" Truly curious did she strike lucky and get a bloodthirsty person?

Valen was hesitant to answer Nvira, I have spent the last couple centuries of my life looking for battles that push my limits.... a dragon would certainly push my limits. But I am getting over that urge to fight for such shallow reasons.

Nvira paused,"I see." Nvira seemed to stay silent after that broading over diffrent things.
Rae gave a huff of boredom as they kept walking. "Don't you eat or are you some weird person who gets all the stuff they need with air?"

Valen decided it didn't much matter that she knew the truth, since he already knew she was a dragon she would understand, "no, I am a Vampire. I have fed about 2 days ago so it will be awhile before I need more blood."

Rae nodded,"I thought you smelt funny for a human. Now I know. Well..." She held up a finger,"I suppose I shall eat and wlak then I do not need that much." She started munching on some of her left over food that she had bought. Mostly beef jerky. "So how did you know my name? What else do you know about me...?" She asked curiously. "You a mind reader or something...or some weird magician? Does all those things come with the whole vampire territory?"
"She asks a lot of questions before you can answer them..." Nvira put in with a chuckle.

"I have never met a dragon my masters had not killed I do not know how she would react to such information. How would you reeact to someone telling you that they knew your name and what you were and almost everything of the sort?" Nvira replied.
Rae waited patiently,"I do not accept that as an answer. I want to know how you do it. Mind reading is a type of magic of some sort is it not?"

My response would be different from hers. I would likely do what I could to hide my thoughts and deal with it, but if she were to discover you had the power to read minds she may become interested in you, and that is something I don't want to deal with right now. A Dragon's greed is never satisfied. "It is a type of magic, but how I execute it is of little consequence when the result if the same... besides you have not told me why you are out here in the plains. I thought dragons preferred to stay in or near the mountains."

Rae was taken aback at him calling her a dragon,"Your ability is quite good." Maybe I should eat him now he knows too much...I can spare the sword... She paused some more as she thought of him reading her thoughts...it was too late now,"Well whats the point of being able to use a human form if we don't get to use it and have a little fun? Staying up in the mountains your whole life is quite boring. Most dragons actually do go to a city or two once in thier lives just no one ever really notices it." Except for you... It was said with some malice in it.
Nvira was on edge,"She doesn't like that you know...."It was a clear warning that Nvira gave Valen.

Valen cursed himself for mentioning that. She will get over it, he replied to Nvira. "I suppose. I have only met one other dragon, so most of what I know of them first hand comes from that encounter."

Rae smiled,"Oh? What were they like?" Rae wondered if it was a bad encounter or good. If he had wondered into the cave by accident she was sure wasn't good at all.
"She seems to have gotten over it quite quickly..." Nvira replied. "Be careful though she was thinking about eating you and taking me she knows I am magical it seems or more magical then your other sword because she doens't seem intrested in that one at all just me."

"It was also my first encounter with a vampire too. The same vampire who would eventually change me. I was a questing knight at the time and came across a dragon's den. Not long after I had found the cave I heard a mighty roar not too far away. I went out to find where it had come from and found the vampire fighting the dragon. Suffice it to say the dragon did not win."

Rae shrugged seeming to not care,"Dragons have been disgraced and hunted before. There was most likely a reason to its demise. Stupid dragons let others find ways to thier caves." Raetherstria sighed,"I'm sorry that you have such a bad first incounter with my kind. I assure you we are as broad ranged in personality as humans are."

"That is good to know," was all Valen had to say.
They continued walking all night and as the first rays of the sun started to come over the horizon they could see a sparkling ribbon of light not too far away.

Vanessa started he journey off in the Blighted Plains heading toward Silver River. She estimates that it may take a few days to reach the river. Then from there she'll head down to Dun Fee Aran.
As she walks she begins whistling a tune that Trell played for her on his flute. as she walks on through the night and the next morning roles around, she finds a tree to sleep in so not to be seen.
