Everything happened so quickly that Nolah was just finished processing the information when Simon bolted from the store leaving a very terrified looking Taryn in his wake. She opened her mouth to speak but the girl was already running for the stairs and she knew that Fynn would take care of her.

At Athos' subtle nod, she smiled softly and turned to head up the stairs. "What drink would you prefer?" She asked.

Fynn stood in the open doorway of the apartment, listening intently to the whole conversation. She didn't know where Simon got his ideas from but she didn't expect her mother to let her go anymore, not even on an adventure like this. She felt a pang of self-pity but quickly perked up when Taryn came racing upstairs.

"I heard everything! You guys are going on a trip, come on, we have to pack your clothes." She said, a flurry of red hair and white wings as she turned and headed to her room. Once inside she dug out one of her two back packs and began to fold all the clothing she'd pulled out for taryn. In a strangely organized way, she began to pack it, according to size, fabric and need. She tended to be a child who worried over details.

"COME ON TARYN!' She shouted over her shoulder, "The dress has to get packed. You can take it with you but it isn't very practical for travelling!" She set out a pair of jeans and a hoodie along with clean socks and one of her pairs of running shoes. She didn't know if the shoes would fit the petite blond but she hoped so.

Corbin was rather surprised when Simon came barreling out of the house and tripped over him. He'd just finished fixing up his fingers and was ready to sneak off when it had happened. Instead he raised his eyebrows at the boy's statement. "I'm not going anywhere with Athos... Why the hell would you want me to come? I'm stationed here..." But he trailed off. If Athos had ordered him to come, then he sure as hell better go, because the alternative wasn't exactly a nice oceanic vacation.

Finally responding to the boy's tugging, he got to his feet and ran a hand through his hair, sighing. Okay, so, the boy was gathering things, and he should too. Fine. He took a quick peek through the window at the dark haired man within, frowning at the fact he'd turned around and was speaking to Nolah. What the hell, man. Corbin had thought that Athos was a cold-hearted b*****d with an agenda. It was weird seeing him hold what looked to be a normal conversation with someone... Especially one of the people that had been partially responsible for certain plans falling through.

What Corbin didn't know was that Fynn was, in a sense, Athos and Nolah's child. Of course he knew she'd been created with a DNA cocktail, but he hadn't been told the details - and he wasn't about to go prying to find out. So, he cleared his throat, watched Simon run off, then made his way over to his own place, which was above the shop he ran, much like Nolah's home was set up. He gathered a few things (he really didn't need much) and locked up, putting up a sign that said the store would be closed until further notice. He hardly cared what happened to the building though. He had a feeling he wouldn't be back for a while.

Slinging the messenger bag of things he had over his shoulder, he took his leisurely time to make it back towards Nolah's bookstore, apprehensive, at the very least, as to what the hell was going on.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Athos, of course, had nothing to gather, as he'd just arrived, and instead of running off, he followed Nolah up the stairs. "I'll get my own," He said curtly, stepping into her apartment and into the kitchen before Nolah could protest. It didn't take him more than a moment to find what was needed to make some tea. Of course, before he even started making it, there was a close inspection of the mug and teapot. Satisfied that they passed his standards, Athos filled the pot and while it was in his hand, brought the water to a boil, then quickly prepared himself a cup of tea.

There was about an hour before Simon and Corbin would be back (and hell to pay if they were late), so Athos had some time to kill. Apparently, he was willing to spend it with Nolah, perhaps because he wanted to, or perhaps it was an alternative to spending said time somewhere else in Dark Haven. Obviously, he'd opted to stay.

He could hear Fynn and Taryn in the other room, discussing clothing and other such things. The man continued to stand in the kitchen area, but focused on Nolah. "She shouldn't be able to teleport." A simple statement, but the weight of it was tremendous. It was more than just a little worry about where Fynn would end up - it was more that she was able to do it at all. It would have been Theonidas' blood that would have granted her that power, but he hadn't been used to create her. Amadeus had - and while he'd been a clone, he had never shown any ability to teleport. Even now, back on the base, nothing had changed. His life had been spared by the Reaper's scythe, and he'd gone on into his own little world. He took care of himself, and Athos let him be.

"And it's obvious you've been holding up decently here." She had a house, a steady source of income, and was able, as far as Athos was able to tell from the reports Corbin had sent in, to raise Fynn well and survive just fine. However, his man had been observing from afar, and had no idea how the woman was doing on an emotional and mental level. Nolah had gone through quite an ordeal - perhaps on a deeper scale than any of the others - and it would be difficult to imagine she'd simply brush it off and walk away from it.

Of course, Athos voiced none of these thoughts and simply sipped at his tea, eyes trailing around the room, hands itching to right things that were out of place.

Taryn was a bit confused by the sudden outburst presented by Fynn, but quickly complied with the demands with a sense of hurriedness that didn't seem to make sense to her. Hadn't that strange man downstairs said they had a whole hour before they were leaving? She quickly stripped off her clothes, apparently now having no sense of modesty, and changed into the ones Fynn had laid out for her. Then she sat on the floor and pulled on the socks, as well as the shoes, which were a little too big, but they were better than the ones she had been wearing. Then, carefully folding the dress, she proceeded to stuffed it in the backpack with little care of how the winged red head seemed to be packing. It wasn't as if she was trying to ruin the organization, she just didn't really know what she was doing. She'd never had so much stuff that it had to be put in a bag to carry.

"Simon said you're coming with us," she said suddenly, frowning a little. Simon rarely lied to her, but she couldn't shake the feeling that Athos would say no, and she'd be separated from Fynn -- whom she'd come to think of as a friend, even if they'd only known each other for a few hours. She'd go anywhere with Simon, because she belonged with him, but she didn't want to leave Fynn either.

"...are you coming?"

Simon, on the other hand, was speed walking back into town, clutching his book, along with a small stuffed animal that he felt foolish carrying, but it was Taryn's, and she loved the silly little thing, so he couldn't leave it behind. Completely unaware of where he was going, he bumped into Corbin (again), and it was like running into a brick wall. Both startled and thrown off balance, he fell over backwards and landed in the dirt off to one side of the main market street.

He gave an involuntary little whimper and a whispered "ow" before getting up and brushing himself off. He picked up the book and the stuffed toy and madly brushed those off as well. Looking up, his steely gaze fixed on Corbin's and he looked vaguely contemplative.

"I know you don't want to go because you're scared of what Athos has planned...but...I can't really explain it...but I really want you to come. You have to come with me because..." and he trailed off. He knew exactly why he wanted Corbin to come. He was scared. He'd never admit it though, because damned if he wanted to show weakness, but Corbin had been the first person he'd talked to that had a connection to...this Theonidas person. And he hadn't been cold about it, nor had he threatened to kill him. Yeah, he sorta liked Corbin...and he felt more secure with him around.

"You know, we have this really bad habit of running into each other. It's gonna get one of us hurt... And I somehow don't think it'll be me," Corbin lilted, thinking about offering a hand to help the boy, but Simon was almost immediately on his feet, dusting off a book and a little toy.

When fixed with that gaze, Corbin raised an eyebrow, giving a bit of a pout while he let his thoughts wander as to why Simon was carrying a toy. Either the boy had a soft spot so buried that it was nigh impossible to reach, or it was Taryn's. Corbin could pretty much guess it belonged to the girl, but he sort of half hoped it was Simon's. It'd be funnier if it was Simon's.

Though, what Simon started saying surprised him a little bit. For one, he was pretty much right - he WAS scared of what Athos had planned... Perhaps not because he had decided to spirit Simon away that day, but because he KNEW there'd be repercussions of him listening in on the conversation. Athos didn't just... let things go. Especially when said 'thing' was spying on something that wasn't any of Corbin's business... And it was when Athos had lost his temper - he didn't like people seeing him lose his cool. That usually meant death to the offending party.

Thankfully, if it meant death, Corbin would already be in that state, so he knew he'd be keeping his life. Whew.

"I have an idea as to what Athos has planned, Simon, and no, I don't like it very much, but I've also been trained for such a thing for years..." He trailed off. It seemed that Simon HAD a reason, but he didn't want to say it. Silly things, kids were. At least sometimes. He threw Simon a bone and didn't ask as to his real reason. "Hey, I'll come willingly. It'll be more interesting than hiding out in this little hole of a town, spying on people. As much fun as that was... It wasn't."

Then again, having to deal with Faolan and his blasted boylover Roka wasn't going to be a picnic either. Hmm. Boring town, spying... Interesting world that surrounded the Base and dealing with Faolan and Roka... The choice was a difficult one.

Nolah remained quiet, letting Athos do as he pleased. She knew that control was what he needed to keep some level of calm and only when he was done with the tea did she move in to get herself a cup, dropping a spoon of suger inside before stirring it.

'I know." She said simply, taking a sip. It soothed her throat. Athos hadn't grabbed her particularly hard and she didnt' sense any bruises forming but still, the tea felt wonderful.

She watched his eyes wander around the room, thought she saw an imperceptible twitch at the untidyness of a few things. He'd probably be surprised to find that those were her fault and that Fynn was essentially like him in the fact that she tended to have things in order. Nolah couldn't count the times she'd been doing something, maybe been in the office when an annoyed 'Mama you left the sugar out again!' or some other such thing was shouted from the apartment.

"So...Simon said Fynn was coming as well. When was that decided?" And why wasn't I asked?

"It's up to my mom. I guess her and that man are going to talk about it. Mom won't be happy...but if it'll be good for me then she'll agree I think..." Fynn seemed to ponder this for a moment. "Which means I should pack a bag too! So much to do!" She smiled at Taryn and ran across the hall to the bathroom where she collected her shampoo, soap, toothbrush, floss and toothpaste and came and dumped them on the bed. That done she raced into the kitchen, nearly a blur as she grabbed a few ziplock bags and was back in her room in record time.

Sitting back on the bed she began to put things in different bags, sealing them tightly. "Simon doesn't like me much...I don't think he wants me to go anyways..."
PostPosted: Sun Dec 07, 2008 11:01 pm

Athos moved from behind the counter to the small table in the room, setting his teacup atop the wood before settling down in one of the chairs, looking somewhat miffed at it creaking slightly. None of the chairs in the base made any unnecessary noise. He'd made sure. And people wondered why he never left. Pffft.

He watched as Nolah made her own tea and raised his eyebrows. "It only makes sense for her to come. If Simon is indeed the reincarnation of Theonidas, then it's plausible that the Reaper lies somewhere deep within as well. He needs a check, and Fynn's it. That girl he's been traveling with is an interesting one as well. She's coming along to keep the boy quiet, among other things..."

He trailed off, searching Nolah's gaze. "Of course, I expect you'd want to come as well?" Nolah probably wouldn't want to be separated from her daughter... And, well, Athos didn't want her to be simply left behind. Perhaps it was because he felt some sort of attachment to her... Though it was probably because if Fynn was separated from Nolah, she might be difficult to handle. Athos had no practice in raising children in a good, solid, decent way. After all, he'd been locked up in a room for most of his childhood, being asked to explode blocks and cutting himself to practice healing. Not exactly a normal childhood.

Fynn wasn't exactly a normal child though. However, he didn't wish to stick her in a room and experiment on her. If nothing else, Nolah wouldn't have any of that, and after what they'd all been through, he was quite willing to respect such a wish.

He took a sip of tea, eyes following Fynn as she ran in and then back out, baggies in hand. "And it was decided when Simon decided he was going to go. About thirteen minutes ago, if you're so intent on knowing."

Simon listened to Corbin, wondering what to do or say, but then giving up. He shifted the book and the stuffed animal so that they rested in one arm, pressed against his body for security, and then reached up. He latched his free hand around Corbin's shirt, right around the waist and gently pulled on it. "Come on," he said, smiling uncertainly. "Let's go back to the bookstore. I'll be that Athos guy is getting impatient. He doesn't seem like the type to like to be kept waiting."

And then he pulled a little harder on Corbin's shirt and they were off walking, the tiny angel in silence, leaving the cyborg to whatever thoughts were going through his head. He wanted to ask what this "Base" thing was like, but somehow he got the idea that Corbin would just deflect the question just like he had all the others. He supposed he'd just have to find out the details for himself. He was excited about leaving Dark Haven, but at the same time, he was going to a place where he'd never been before, and it made it somewhat apprehensive. Then again, going anywhere outside of Dark Haven would have been new. He wondered about it for a while. He didn't know anything outside of the little town, and he was left to ponder the idea that the outside world might really be just as harsh as everyone seemed to think it was.

Taryn watched Fynn run about crazily for a bit, before biting her lip. "It's not that Simon doesn't like you," she said quietly. "He just doesn't know you. And he has a hard time trusting people. I know he seems really mean, but when you get to know him, he's the best friend you could ever have. He takes care of me. Without him, I don't think I would be here right now."

She glanced down and fiddled with a loose thread on Fynn's comforter. So, she had to admit, she didn't want to leave Dark Haven. It seemed rather scary to her, but Simon was going, and she definitely didn't want to be left behind. There was no way she could survive on her own. Simon has always taken care of everything. He set up their living space and got them got food. Taryn didn't even know how to do things like that. She'd been caught stealing at the apple stand as if just to reiterate this fact. Simon never got caught.

She looked up at Fynn. "Even if the place we're going is really scary, will you stay my friend?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 09, 2008 9:48 pm

"Why wouldn't I be your friend?" Fynn glanced over at the blond, hands moving with a slightly unnerving speed as things were folded and packed and organized. "You're still being my friend even though Simon...doesn't know me." She decided on Taryn's choice of words instead of her own.

"Of course I'm going. I wouldn't let her go there without me." Nolah sank down onto the sofa, drawing her legs up with her. She felt cold and dragged down one of the throws from the back. It occured to her that she should probably be packing at this point.

But there was something comforting about sitting on the sofa with a mug of tea in her hand, somehow managing to relax despite the thoughts swirling through her head. She could hear Fynn chattering excitedly down the hall and a fond smile touched her lips before she dropped her head, conflicted.

"What are you guys going to do to her?"

"You should probably be packing at this point then," Athos pointed out. He eyed the woman when she asked what they were going to do to Fynn. Thoughts seemed to run through his head on the inquiry. "Nothing unnecessary," was his initial reply. And it was true. There was less need to push her, to find her powers, because they could predict most of them. Of course, there'd be a close eye kept on her, but until the need arose for further probing, she would, for the most part, be left alone.

"You act worried, Nolah. Do you not trust me?"

Corbin almost jumped back when Simon reached for him, but realizing he was just doing what kids do and latching onto the adult, he allowed it. It was weird though. He'd never really cared for kids, and when he was around them, it was watching and calculating to see if they were who Athos and the Swords were looking for. Sure, he had an idea of how to act around them to get the children to like him (he seemed to be doing alright with Simon and Taryn, right?), but that was about the extent of it. His expertise was in mechanics... Computers... Technology, really. Not biology. Totally different fields.

"No, Athos doesn't like to be kept waiting, but we won't leave until that hour's up... The guy's kinda screwy." The man made a face and twirled his finger in a circle around his ear, the universal sign of 'crazy.'

They did, though, make their way to the bookstore, and though Corbin was reluctant to enter, they did step inside, a little bell ringing to announce their entrance. Corbin only hoped that Athos, wherever he'd gone, wouldn't come downstairs right away. He didn't exactly want to see him.

"Well... We're here, Simon... You excited?"
PostPosted: Thu Dec 11, 2008 12:56 am

Taryn shrugged. "I don't know why we would suddenly not be friends. I'm still a little new to this 'friends' thing, I guess. I'm sorry." She fiddled with her hands for a moment before hopping down from the bed and scuttling over to her bag, which is picked up and slung around her shoulders. It looked a little strange, as she was so small. The backpack was almost as big as she was. She pulled on the straps to make it fit more tightly against her back and then turned to Fynn. "Are you ready to go?"

Reaching up, she turned the knob on the door and stepped out into the hall, waiting for the angel-girl to join her. When she did, Taryn bounced down the corridor and into the living room, carefully avoiding Athos's gaze. The guy was a little scary, and she wasn't quite sure how to act. Everytime she looked at him, she got the feeling he was trying to pick her apart. She stood there awkwardly, hands curled around the straps of the backpack.

A moment later, Simon had answered Corbin by running up the stairs to see where everyone was. Excited? Sure, this was something new! Simon liked things that were new. Dark Haven was very boring, really, and he couldn't wait to get the hell out and go somewhere different. So yeah, it was exciting. Who knew what was waiting for him outside the borders of this annoying little town? What would he see? Who would he meet?

He entered, and Taryn looked up. Her face lit up and she made her way over to him, smiling. Simon looked at her for a moment, suspicion darkening his small, intense face.

"What do you have in that pack?" He said.

Taryn frowned. "It's just some stuff that Fynn gave me. That's okay right?"

Simon looked a little disturbed for a moment before straightening up and nodding. He held the stuffed toy out, and Taryn eagerly took it. "You found Paddington! I wouldn't have wanted to leave without him." She squeezed the teddy bear to her chest, kissing it lightly on the head. Simon watched her through his cold gaze, and then nodded again.

"I know," he said. "Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah, I guess so?"

Simon's eyes turned toward Fynn, expression unreadable. "What about you?"

Nolah sighed and was just starting to pull herself up from the couch when Taryn and Fynn came running into the room. She smiled upon seeing the blond girl clad in the new clothes, backpack nearly dwarfing her small frame.

"You guys have everything you need?" She asked. Fynn nodded, a serious look on her young face.

"Yep, I packed everything, even hairclips."

"Oh good. You could never have too many, right?" She grinned, hiding a smile. "You can throw some food into your lunch bag if you want, healthy food." Nolah re-iterated upon seeing Fynn's gaze fly to the top of the fridge where a bag of chips rested. "Like some fruit."

And just as she finished speaking, Simon came flying into the room clutching a teddy-bear of all things. It wasn't something she'd expected to see the boy with but as soon as she saw Taryn's gaze land on it she knew it wasn't his. How sweet.

"Okay, I have to throw a few things together, you guys behave." She muttered, realizing how much being a mother had integrated itself into her life. Even with colleagues or out with the few 'friends' she'd made since her return she tended to play that role, mitigating fights, instinctually asking after health...hell, she usually showed up downstairs in the mornings with a fresh batch of something she'd baked up. Unfed employees weren't productive, right?

Shaking her head softly, she disappeared into her room.

Heeding her mother's words, Fynn obediently went the fridge, reaching up to drag it open. She didnt' want to interrupt Taryn and Simon's reunion. Besides, Simon had done something nice right?

At the boy's question, she simply nodded as she opened a bottom crisper and went to retrieve her lunch bag where it was sitting on the counter. She eyed Athos.

"I have dreams about you." She said matter-of-factly before turning to put a couple of apples, some manadarins and a bunch of grapes into the small bag. Juice boxes were lined up on the lowest shelf and she grabbed several of those too before hunting out some more containers and loading those with fruit too, enough for everyone...even that man her mom didn't like.

"....Or you can run upstairs and around like a little kid..." Corbin switched his gaze to track heat signatures and watched from the floor below as the little angel zoomed around with the other two children, while Athos (it was strange to see him so... HOT, with as cold as he was) stood where he was, unmoving.

"I'll just wait down here then... You have fun," He said to no one in particular. To pass the rest of the time, he started browsing books again.

Athos was about as equally pleased to see the children running around as Corbin was. But unlike the cyborg, he was in the same room. And he most definitely had a shorter temper. Of course, Nolah had waited to pack until the children all had. Athos sighed and finished his tea.

What came from Fynn though, had been unexpected. She'd been having dreams - visions. Nolah had made that clear. But to recognize him? The man frowned. "You'll tell me about those when we get to where we're going." He was suddenly under the impression that he should have kept a better eye on her. Damn it.

"Nolah," He called out, "We're leaving in five minutes, with or without you." That said, he ventured down the stairs, perhaps to get away from the kids, perhaps to see Corbin.

Corbin, of course, put on a stern, soldier-like face the moment he realized Athos was moving to the lower floor of the house and nodded stiffly to him when he did appear. "Hello, sir."

Athos stared at him for a while, then smirked. "How's the hand?" He didn't even feign concern.

"It hurts."

"Good."

Corbin's face fell into a frown. Sometimes he reeeeally hated that guy.

Nolah rolled her eyes at Athos' warning. She'd barely been gone three minutes and she knew he wouldn't leave without her. Without her Fynn would refuse to go and the girl could put up quite the fight when she wanted to.

She already set out enough clothing and had even laid a dress across her bed and then realized she wouldnt' have any reason to need a dress at the base. No special occaisons there.

She grabbed a duffle bag from the closet and then took exactly five minutes to put everything she needed inside, just to spite Athos and made a re-appearance at exactly the five minute mark.

Simon watched Nolah retreat to go pack, and decided that the conversation between Athos and Fynn was really none of his business before reaching out to grab Taryn's hand before running down the stairs. Once in the store, he stuffed the book he'd brought into his pocket and disappeared between two shelves of books. Taryn looked at Corbin, then skittered after her friend as Athos came down the stairs. The two of them browsed the book selection.

"Where do you think we're going," Taryn said suddenly, placing a paperback into its slot on the shelf.

Simon looked up from whatever he'd been reading to look at her. "I don't know exactly," he confessed, "but I know that where it is, there are answers there for us. We don't know where we came from or why we're here. And we definitely don't know exactly why those guys from Crossed Swords have been watching us. We'll find out there. You aren't having second thoughts about leaving Dark Haven, are you?"

Taryn shook her head. "No. I don't mind leaving. I want to find out what's going on as much as you do. But you know, I have a feeling we're all going to be together for a while, so you could stand to be a little nicer to Fynn. She thinks that you don't like her."

The angel sighed and stuffed the book back into its proper place. "It's not that I don't like her. I don't even know her. There's just something about her that I can't really explain. Corbin told me that if I am this Theonidas guy, that Fynn was the one that killed me. I don't know if I can get over that. Things follow you from life to life."

"It's not her fault."

"I know."

The conversation was abruptly cut short when Nolah came down the stairs with her daughter in tow. Simon lead Taryn out from the stacks and exchanged glances with everyone, pointedly ignoring Fynn before heading to the door and pulling it open. "I guess it's time to go now, right?" He exited, followed by his friend, and stood outside waiting for everyone else. He didn't know which way to go, so he was reliant on Athos and Corbin. Glancing down, he stared at the tattoo on his palm for a long moment before peering back into the store.

"Are you guys coming?"

Athos took to his normal expression - no emotion whatsoever - as he waited for Nolah to finish packing her things. He had a sneaking suspicion that she was taking more time than she needed, but he kept that to himself. If the woman wanted to irritate him, she'd managed that two hours previous, with the phone call. And she hadn't done anything really to change that since he'd arrived.

He was still wondering why he really came out in the first place.

Either way, the decision had set in course events that he found quite promising.

And he'd learned things, especially about Fynn, that were, for lack of a better word, troublesome.

Corbin continued in his frowning while they waited, and took it upon himself to ignore Athos as much as he could. He didn't really HATE him, per se, being that his abilities were from the cold man, but he couldn't say he enjoyed his company. Phone conversations were best between Corbin and Athos.

He did though, perk up when he heard Taryn and Simon start conversing about where they were going. "We're headed to the Crossed Swords Base, no doubt..." Not that that was really much of an answer. oh well.

And then, time was up. Nolah had appeared on the later end of Athos' grace period, which brought a shadow of a frown onto his face before it flickered away. "We're going." Obviously.

Striding out the door after Simon, Athos, followed by Corbin, stepped outside as well, and immediately the group was fitted with a pair of Athos' special wings. Those that had wings (Simon and Fynn) weren't graced with such a thing, instead their wings were encased in a sort of shimmering light - much like the rippling of the air over a fire.

Corbin was left to his own devices.

"Nolah, you've experienced this before. Simon, Fynn, Taryn -" he looked pointedly at each. "Just follow. You'll have some control over where you're going, but in the end, you're not going to be able to venture too far from my person."

From the back of the group, Corbin just made a snorting sound and took his shoes off, stuffing them into the bag he was carrying. His feet, strangely enough, were made from metal. He wiggled his fake toes, rolled his shoulders, and crossed his arms. "Ready when you are, boss."

Athos nodded. "We'll be there in little less than an hour."

That said, the man turned his cold gaze to the sky and the entire group was lifted into the air and took off like a shot through the sky. Corbin was close behind, not with wings to carry him, but it looked like he had jets in his FEET. He was like a human rocket zipping across the sky, matching Athos' and the other's speed.

Forty-nine minutes and twenty-seven seconds later, the group slowed down as they came to what looked like a quiet residential area. Athos slowed the group's flight with a wave of his hand, and they were soon hovering just above the gates. Corbin slowed as well, taking a place between Athos and Simon. For as powerful as those jets in his feet were, they were surprisingly quiet. "Home sweet home," he said flatly.

They slowly descended towards the ground, and when feet hit grass, the lovely wings and energies disappeared. Athos ran a hand through his hair, fixed his tie, and lightly put his hands behind his back. To Simon and Taryn he said, "This house can be used to store your things..." He glanced over at Corbin. "Congratulations, you now have house guests indefinitely."

Corbin found that it would probably be better NOT to speak. It looked like Simon and Taryn, at least, would be staying with him.

"Nolah and Fynn have other accommodations, but for the time being, you can put your things here as well."

((erm. I'll stop here. Lol. not sure what we wanna do from here on. O.o; ))
