Favorite HP Book and why: Its a toss up between Order of the Phoenix and Prisoner of Azkaban. In Prisoner, we learn all about the Marauders! Phoenix just rocks. ROCKS!
Favorite Character and why: Remus Lupin. ^-^ Of all the words in English, Latin or any language, including gibberish, there is no way of describing his awesomness.
Least favorite HP Book and why: I'd say The Sorcerer's Stone. It was just so slow and it took awhile to really get into it.
Least favorite HP character and why: I would say Ron and Lockhart. My friend would kill me but I just don't like Ron. He's funny and very entertaining but its just hard to have him as a favorite for much longer. Lockhart is just too damn annoying.
Favorite Book besides Harry Potter: Tamsin by Peter S. Beagle, Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner (*points to name*), Wicked; The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, the Classics, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
Where in the world would you like to go?: The United Kingdom. I've never been there which just sucks. Plus I need more exposure to their accents. I envy anyone who has it.
What HP location would you like to visit most?: Hogwarts, definitely.
What HP event would you like to see? The Triwizard Tournament.

Favorite HP Book and why:
I would have to say Book 3, because it not only gives the main characters more depth but it also introduces some of my favorite characters - being, of course, Lupin and Sirius. It also seems somehow funnier than the other ones.
Favorite Character and why:
Remus Lupin, because he is one of the more complex characters involved in the plotline (and he makes up half of one of my favorite pairings ^-^). Of course, you could say the same thing about Snape, but for some reason, I just don't really like him as much.
Least favorite HP Book and why:
Book 4 - for some reason it seems a bit drawn out in comparison to the other books. I wouldn't be able to give you examples of the places where I think Rowling spent too long on; it's just an overall feeling I get from the book as a whole.
Least favorite HP character and why:
Wormtail. Not because he was a traitor to the Potters and the whole "light side" or anything, I just think his character and the way it is played out is a bit too stereotypical.
Favorite Book besides Harry Potter:
The Silmarillion.
Where in the world would you like to go?:
To the Mediterranean coastline of Turkey or Italy. I hear it's beautiful there, and I have relatives in both places.

Definetly Diagon Alley. It would be the experience of a lifetime; EVERYTHING magical is there.

When the Champions fought the dragons.

Seeker, not because Harry is one but because I am known for my really good eyesight. I can find a four leaf clover from 10 feet away; I think I would be good at finding a little golden ball with wings from across the field.

Favorite Character and why: Ron, because he's so underappreciated and trod upon by fandom, and so deserving of awe and respect. Snape, simply because he's one of the most finely-wrought literary characters this lit-major bookoholic's ever come across.
Least favorite HP Book and why: I can't.
Least favorite HP character and why: Lockhart, probably. The characters I hate most, Umbridge and Bellatrix, are just too fun to dislike.

I can't: Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge by Rilke, The Basic Eight by Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket), and Unfortunate Events as well; anything by Margaret Atwood, Jay McInerney, or Jean Genet. Where in the world would you like to go?: Back to Prague. I've been to at least 14 countries in Europe, so have pretty much seen what I want to there. Right now, I'm planning a week in Berlin for next month. I am scheduling it around the US and German Goblet of Fire release dates!
What HP location would you like to visit most?: ohhhhh...I've never come across this question before. I do have some nutty theories about Durmstrang a visit would clear up nicely, but I've no real desire to go. I think I have to say Hogwarts.
What HP event would you like to see? An event? Um, modestly, just a sorting.
What position would you play in Quidditch and why? I'd be dreadful at Quidditch. Maybe a Beater? The only sports I'm any good at involve swinging at balls. But I'm far too slender for that position.

Favorite HP Book and why: I loved Goblet of Fire, just because I imagine myself to be Harry's long lost little American sister (sad, but true), and I could so very vividly imagine all of the actions. Beautiful.
Favorite Character and why: Harry. Natch. Like I've said, if it weren't for the fact that James and Lily had died before I was born, I would swear that I'm Harry's baby sister. And that we shared a birthday.
Least favorite HP Book and why: HP&OotP. I think as a work, Ms Rowling was stretching too many ideas out there. Once Bellatrix got involved, I just got very confused about the actions and the importance of the actions.
Least favorite HP character and why: I never really quite liked Luna, just because I was that kid in elementary school. Thankfully, I grew out of it.
Favorite Book besides Harry Potter: Dante's Inferno, the Abhorsen trilogy (Garth Nix), the Lioness quartet, the Protector of the Small quartet (both by Tamora Pierce), and far more than this little intro will allow.

Favorite Character and why: Ronald Weasley, of course 4laugh ! Because he reminds me of myself..his mistakes, his clumsy-slow side, his scardy-cat syndrome, his jealousy, and his clever remarks.
Least favorite HP Book and why: Mind you, i've only read them up to book 3, and less than half of book 4 (took peeks at book 6). And i like them all pretty much the same.

Favorite HP Book and why: I actually liked HBP. I thought that all things concidered, it was well written and it gave a lot of information. It also gave a whole new plot twist with Snape, which could lead to some entertaining debating (though, also like, a million repeat threads in the HP sub-forum but...)
Favorite Character and why: My favorite character kind of changes all the time (as does my least favorite character) but right now I like Severus. His character is so in depth and hard to figure out, not to mention he has a witty-but-somewhat-cruel sence of humor which I find hilarious in most cercumstances.
Least favorite HP Book and why: Mmm, CoS. I'm not sure why, because I haven't read it for a while, but I just never liked the whole plot really.
Least favorite HP character and why: Probably Harry. He kind of gets on my nerves. I have issues with overly dramatic, overly heroic, overly suspicious-of-Draco-just-because-I-don't-like him... Things like that just bug me. But I don't want him to die. I really dislike books where the main character dies. x.x
Favorite Book besides Harry Potter: Very hard to say. I'm reading a very intersting book called Enter the Darkness by Frank Pereti. It's a Christian novel.

Favorite HP Book and why:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I like this book particularly because it emphasizes Harry's friendship and love, and how different Tom Riddle was from him. It also showed the life of Tom Riddle compared to Harry's. We learned how to destroy Voldemort once and for all. And near the very end, Harry realized that this battle was his own battle, and that he had to fight it himself. Harry matures in this book.
Favorite Character and why:
Hermione Granger
I've decided that Hermione Granger is my favorite character because I can connect with Hermione on so many levels. I like how she studies and knows so many things. Her favorite place (and mine also) is the library. We both love Ron (he's so cute!) she obviously cares about Harry very much. Usually she keeps her feelings in a very tight bottle (like in third year) and then it just comes spilling out. Sometimes (most of the times) she is very perceptive and can use that analytical brain of hers to logic her way out of anything.
Least favorite HP Book and why:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Don't get me wrong, I love this book, but I used to hate it. I used to hate Harry Potter, can you believe it? And it was because when I was in third grade, my friend introduced me to the Harry Potter books, and I bought one at the Scholastic School Book Fair. I read at night and, having a very vivid imagination, it made me so scared to go to sleep (in case the Slytherin monster would come up the stairs and kill me). I told my friend the next day I hated the book. However, eventually, I came along (I'm much older now, and the books just give me an exciting thrill instead of nightmares) and now I love them! But I cannot but feel the tiniest resentment at the book that almost made me lose the thrill of the greatest books in the world!

This dude gives me a bad feeling. I appreciate he agreed to be part of the DA, and didn't rat them out like Marietta (in fact, Marietta is my next to least favorite character), but this guy is just downright rude and stupid, and my, is he a Hufflepuff?

Favorite HP Book and why: PoA because it's the first one that introduced the Marauders. I like backstory, especially when it matters.
Favorite Character and why: Luna! Quite a few of my friends say I'm like her, and I can see why. This fact amuses me. Even if that wasn't true, she's still a very interesting side character.
Least favorite HP Book and why: OotP, because I hated Umbridge that much. Though...I did like the part with the fireworks.
Least favorite HP character and why: Umbridge, and I don't think that needs much explaining.

Favorite HP Book and why: My favorite book is "Harry Potter
and the Goblet of Fire" due to the fact that the description was good, it was not too long, and the plot was well thought-out.
[Favorite Character and why: My favorite character would have to be Professor Quirrel. For some reason, he always made me laugh.
Least favorite HP Book and why: My least favorite book is "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince because it seemed like bad fanfiction to me. Harry is obsessed about Malfoy, the romance is just tossed in, and Harry seems to not have dealt with Sirius's death at all.
Least favorite HP character and why: Professor Flitwick because I have a professor that acts just like him, and if you have to be in a classroom for 5 hours for a chemistry lab, it drives you up the wall.
Favorite Book besides Harry Potter: I love this book called "Year of Wonders". Its about a villiage that shuts itself off from the world in 1666 when the plague arrives.
Where in the world would you like to go?: The Middle East, even with all of its problems.
What HP location would you like to visit most?: I would like to visit the library most of all because I wish that that could be my college library.

Favorite HP Book and why:
HBP, I like her style in this book. Besides, I got to see quite interesting tid bits of Severus' life (The romance was just HORRIBLE though)
Favorite Character and why:
Probably Severus, because he isn't 100% good or evil, and it's interesting to try and see things from his point of view, and how some situations might have affected him. Remus comes a close second though.
Least favorite HP Book and why:
Order of the Phoenix. It was just too long, I lost interest before I finished the book, and never really did felt like rereading it over and over and over again just for the sake of rereading it. Besides, there was a bit too much teen angst in it for me.
Least favorite HP character and why:
Umbridge. 'nuff said. Slughorn isn't too high up on my favourite list either though.

Reading Lolita now, it's...not really a favourite book, but it sure is an interesting read. *nods* There's also a chinese book called 'The First Intimate Contact' (no, it's not R rated or NC17 or anything), that, is probably one of the best books I've ever read. Favorite HP Book and why: POA because that is when Sirius Black entered the scene and there was finally hope for Harry.
Favorite Character and why: Sirius Black of course. heart heart heart He is mysterious yet loveable. He is the underdog (no pun intended) of sorts because most people believe he is evil when in reality he is quite courageous.
Least favorite HP Book and why: I love them all, but if I have to pick one it would have to be OotP because Sirius dies at the end. crying

Favorite HP Book and why: Order of the Phoenix - a lot of people criticise it for being dark, depressing, or otherwise 'bad'. On the other hand it has a tremendous amount of character development, along with the addition of a couple of great characters. Without this book, the world of Harry Potter wouldn't be nearly as in depth as it is now - and that's the set up we needed before going into HPB and book seven.
Favorite Character and why: I wish I remembered how I answered this when I applied to join the guild, because it's kind of difficult to really name a 'favourite'. I'll wing it and go with current impressions. Luna is a fantastic character - flawed and real, she adds a alot of depth, if you ask me. She accomplishes a lot simply by existing as someone for the other characters to react to.
Least favorite HP Book and why: Chamber of Secrets. It seemed too much like a retelling of Philosopher's Stone, but without the novelty of the characters experiencing things for the first time. Almost as if the characters had already become jaded to the goings on in the world of magic.
Least favorite HP character and why: Both Trelawney and Umbridge annoyed me no end. I feel it was they way they were written - both were designed to antagonise Harry, and by reading his perspective in the books, we dislike them too. At least in the case of other characters such as Snape or Draco Malfoy, there is a background, something beyond the veneer that explains why they act a certain way.
Favorite Book besides Harry Potter: Toss up between Catch-22 and Stranger in a Strange Land. Catch-22 is a fantastic read that got me through high school, developing my already finely honed sense of cynicism and satire. Stranger in a Strange Land is a deeply philosophical book, with brilliantly written characters and generally speaking, a very important story to tell, that is executed perfectly.
Where in the world would you like to go?: I intend to travel Asia after I graduate from university before stopping in Japan to teach English there for a year. So I guess Asia is at the top of my list xd
What HP location would you like to visit most?: Hogwarts. Most definitely. I'd rather spend an hour walking aorund Hogwarts than visit Diagon alley with a sackful of galleons.
What HP event would you like to see? As in, an in character event, or an event related to HP such as a public interview with the actors, or J. K. Rowling? Well an IRL event would definitely be the public interview. An in character event... oh, well there are really only a couple when you're talking once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, so I think I'd be wanting to go to the Quidditch world cup.
What position would you play in Quidditch and why? Beater. I have the right build and I think I'd feel a heck of a lot safer with a bat to defend myself with rather than relying on other beaters to protect me while I scored goals or searched for the snitch.
What's your favorite brand of tooth paste? Colgate whitening with 12 hour protection.
What's your favorite way to eat Potatoes? Mashed with lots of butter and mixed with peas.
