I've named my Pokemon for a while, and most of the while was the Rai- prefix. Lately, though, I've actually spent time to come up with nicknames.
Ninetales: Catalyst
Feraligatr: Croco
Crobat: Rogue
Gengar: Cadaver
Ampharos: Radiator (the song made me name him this)
Magmortar: Volcane
Victreebel: Ivy
Pidgeot: Ventius
Ampharos (my brother's): Electra
Golem: Terra
It just goes on and on.

I always name the first pokemon I catch of that species, but if I catch repeats for fun I just leave it as is.

I restarted my emerald game
and have nicknamed all my pokemon so far c:
I love nicknames
marshtomp: swamptart
lombre: hoolio (cuz it sounded funny)
sableye: saby
marill: morice
mightyena: dark
whismur: woosh
spinda: spinna
ninjask: ninja
solrock: sully
shedinja: shinya

i would but my friend makes my pokemon now so i cant name them and if u think im non legit we battle i just need my FC = lol

I name the ones I raise for my team and ones that I have purposes for. The ones I catch to fill up the pokedex don't have names.

I name every. Single. Pokemon. I. Can. I can't even trade for another pokemon if it doesn't have a name. I gotta name my fodder. I gotta name my HM slaves. Everything must have a name in my game. They must. It helps build their personalities (in my head) and adds to their moe...which really makes me a dork, doesn't it?

I rarely give my pokemon nicknames. But if I do get a red gyarados, I would call it GyaREDos.

Name mah Pokemons? Well, it usually depends on mah mood of whether I want to or not, so yes an no I do nd dont name my Pokemon. Except for my Mystery Dungeon games, they ALL have nicknames (so far, except for Regice razz Somehow I just could not think of a good one for him)

That's basically the same thing with me. It annoyed the bloody heck outa me when my brother's Pokemon weren't nicknamed, thus I took up the job for him. Also, that personality thing, I'm the same there too. I tend to draw my Pokemon. A lot. Giving them names also allows me to come up with the unique personalities each one has.
